Overview
Visit Bangkok’s Grand Palace and Wat Phra Kaew on a fascinating tour exploring highlights of the city’s royal and religious architecture. You’ll get a glimpse of the onetime home of Siam’s royal family, whose buildings blend Thai and European design. Then, enter the palace temple to see the Emerald Buddha, among Thailand’s most sacred relics. A local guide sharing detailed information about the sights, entrance fees, and convenient hotel pickup in an air-conditioned bus makes this tour an excellent value.
What to Expect
Meet a driver at your hotel in Bangkok and board an air-conditioned bus. Then, travel to one of the city’s most historic neighborhoods, where the Grand Palace stands near the banks of the Chao Phraya River.

There, follow in the footsteps of Siamese kings and queens as you visit the Royal Funeral Hall and Royal Coronation Hall, grand spaces still used on ceremonial occasions.

Enter Wat Phra Kaew, also called the Temple of the Emerald Buddha, to pay your respects to a historic Buddha that’s carved from solid jade. This tour concludes near the Grand Palace at the Gems Gallery, convenient to top sites, attractions, and restaurants in historic Bangkok.

Major tourist attraction in Bangkok.

Well worth a visit but be prepared for big crowds at any time of day. As it’s a holy site everyone has to cover up and anyone in shorts is made to put on some long trousers which you can hire. We got ours from...More

Spectacular Experience

The architecture and intricate effect created my thousands of tiny coloured tiles covering the monuments, temples was absolutely "unreal'. Would have taken many people and many hours to complete. So impressive.

Love the crowds, love the cultural experience.

The splendour of the architecture is not diminished by the crowds. They add to the flavour of being in an Asian country that has so many amazing places to visit and experience, sight, sound and small. The colours of the tiles, the expressions on the...More

We did not take an organised tour, preferred to do our own research and exploring the palace area. We also made our own way to and from our accommodation. Perhaps asking at the hotel for participating in an organised group... More

We chose not to have a guided tour but believe they can be taken morning and afternoon. They would be at least an hour and a cost is involved, how much, not sure.
