Great experience from a lifelong local!
Ali was a great tour guide. He has lived in the area of the souks his entire life and it showed - it was like walking with the town's Mayor as everyone greeted him. He brought me to some corners of the market where craftsmen were working (not just selling bric brac), which I would not have found on my own. Although I got more in-depth explanations at some stores, I did not feel any pressure to buy.

So worth it and really was a highlight of our trip!
I didn't know what to expect, but Mohammed was an all-star. He really made the whole experience very pleasant even amidst the busy streets. He knew where to go where it wasn't super overwhelming and made it about the local artists and merchants. I'm so happy we chose him to start off our trip. From there, we were confident on getting around the souks. He also helped us get a beautiful light fixture for our home back in the USA. I loved having a local to show us around including the best lamb chops ever!

      Awesome walking tour experience
Amazing tour! He was very knowledgeable and gave us a lot of information on what avoid during our trip. He was also very accommodating to our requests. He recommended several amazing restaurants that locals would go and frequented, that’s walking distance from our hotel. That was such a huge plus for us, we avoided all the touristy traps. It was such an amazing experience, will definitely book again!

A great afternoon in safe hands.
Mohammed was super receptive in bringing us to different stalls across the souk. He accommodated requests for jewellery, clothing, food and drink and was patient allowing our bartering to the max! A great afternoon in safe hands.

Absolutely fabulous. Well worth the money
Absolutely fabulous. Well worth the money. My guide was very knowledgeable and tailored the trip to suit (even with a couple of young girls who just wanted jewellery but bought nothing !) He went above an beyond, inviting me in for lunch with the family and a chance to meet some of his friends who may or may not have enjoyed a whiskey or two !

      The Best Tour ever!
Imad was a brilliant tour guide. We would never have been able to navigate the Souk without his expert local knowledge. He took us to see hidden gems and captivated us with stories and facts about the different sections of the sprawling market.

      Very worthwhile!
My guide, Mohamed, was excellent! He was born and raised in the Marrakech Medina, so he clearly knew all of its ins and outs. He was very friendly, engaging, knowledgeable and helpful in supporting my particular interests (it’s useful to tell your guide up front what you are and are not looking for). In addition to visiting souks, Mohamed showed me where the best street food is and we shared a delicious barbecue lunch. Highly recommended!

Best way to see the souks
Our guide Mohamed was so friendly and knowledgeable. He took us to great shops for everything we wanted to see and there was no pressure to buy. He also took lots of pictures for us and brought us to an excellent street food spot for lunch! Highly recommend!

Welcome to the World Cup of Shopping!
Mohammed is extremely knowledgeable about every aspect of the souks. He is quickly responsive to any questions you may have and is a very friendly fellow on tour! If you wish just to tour, he will take you to cobblers, leather workshops, metal smiths, and any other artisan craft you can think of. If you want to shop for a specific product he knows the most reputable dealers deep in the souks. There are thousands of merchants here and it would take many days to search wisely. I think it is money well spent to tour with Mohammed as he will take you to areas and merchants that are not on a path that a tourist would typically travel. Highly recommended!

      Great private tour
I would definitely recommend this tour to anyone interested in exploring the souks but might be intimidated by the crowds and attention. We opted for the private tour so that we could tailor our trip, our guide was super amenable and was able to quickly forge a plan. Being with a tour you are not approached as much, are able to take more photos (without charge) ensure purchases are fairly priced and more importantly you get to see craftsmanship that is tucked away only local knowledge can bring. Even if you have no intention of buying anything worth the time to immerse yourself comfortably.

      Souk wandering
Abdul was an excellent guide but he got slowed down by our group staying to haggle at multiple stops. Plan to come back at leisure if you have project buys. Easy to get lost in souks, note the little signs at corners and try to use restaurants as place markers (many stalls look similar). Learned how to spot a quality baboush, also got a good lunch tip. Saw a community bakery and hammam fire.

Couldn’t ask for a better tour guide!!
Mohamed was amazing, couldn’t have asked for a better tour guide. Took so many photos and saw so many amazing things, we wouldn’t have even seen half of it if it wasn’t for Mohamed! He is a must for the souks!

Mohammed was an ideal guide into the inner depths of the Medina. We were a small group of 3 which made the trip even better as there was no rush or struggle to see anything. We were taken to see weavers, shoe makers, butchers and bakers as they worked which would not have happened on our own and got bread and lamb to share fresh from the oven. There was no pressure to buy which was nice. We learned about spices and customs which again you don't get walking about on your own and the 3 hours flew in - Lovely experience would recommend.

This tour was really worthwhile & I would strongly recommend it to anyone visiting the city for the first time. Mohammed was very knowledgable & give us tips on our visit. We were shown places around the Medina we would not find on our own & got to taste some of the local food 😁

This is our first time in Marrakech. Booked the Hidden Medina private tour. We arrived at the meeting point Cafe de France and our guide Mohammed was waiting for us .

Very friendly greeting and asked us what we had see so far so he could tailor to our needs. The tour far exceeded our expectations! We seen parts of the Medina that tourist could never experience.

All along the information and historical background was 1st class. If you want to see the real medina off the usual hustle bustle tourist streets then Mohammed and Marrakech Guide Tours is the man and company to book.

He took us to many historical places but for me the highlights were the quiet hidden gems, beautiful Riad, visiting the restuarant from Gordon Ramsey Morocco TV programme with the Meshoue delicacy. We were taken in behind the doors of the Hamman to see the furnace being stoked, the tanjines on coals and even given a private gnawa music show by the men working in the hamman furnace.

We could never have experienced this without meeting Mohammed amd booking this your.

The tour was the highlight of our Marrakech visit.

Authentic, professional , great value and nothing too much trouble!

I would definietely recommend you dont miss this tour when in Marrakech

We had a great guide in Mohamed - we met in a central location. He spoke very good English. He was very informed. The madina is vast so the best way to get the most of the city of Marrakech is to have a guide who has lived all their life in the city. We felt safe and we were not hassled by traders which i have experience by other madina visits.

Mohammed gave us a memorable tour round parts of the Medina that we simply would not have found, giving a real insight into life in Old Town Marrakech. We spent plenty of time in the maze of souks and Médina during our visit to Marrakech, but would not have witnessed the parts Mohammed took us to without him.He was both funny and knowledgeable, and we wouldn’t hesitate to recommend this tour to others.

We have had such a relaxed but terrific morning with Mohamed, from start to finish! Mo was keen to tailor our walking tour for us. We had already spent time in Jemma el fna & souks. So we really wanted a deeper experience, find the hidden jewels we would not have found ourselves, omg!!! Walking through alleyways, peaceful away from bustling crowds, at each turn felt like we were on an adventure! Koutoubia, Mousaleam, the restaurant Gordon Ramsey visited (we shall be eating there tonight!) 3 neighbourhoods, hidden Camellia Princess Ryad, Museum of Marrakech, Mossques Koutoubia Ben Salah, Ben Youssef. 14th century college & more! So many places, loads of information & to finish at a rooftop Cafe Merstan. Oh we also had a private show when we went to the furnace where tagines cook & the heat the hamam next door. The multi talented morrocan guys played gnawa music & sang. We felt overwhelmed. Thank you Mohamed, you've been amazing. This is a tour is a MUST!! You will not be disappointed, friendly, informative with some humour thrown in 👍😁😁

Mo, our private tour guide, was amazing & took us to many local & hidden parts of old Marrakech, which we would never have found on our own. We saw how traditional meat was cooked underground in a tangier, he took us to the heart of local neighbourhoods where the peace & tranquility was so calming. We viewed a modern & traditonal riad with beautiful artistry of carved plaster, wrought iron & painting. We ate Moroccan pancake filled with onion, herbs & spices - just delicious, also a crispy pastry similar to bakhlava- yum! He took us to a local pharmacy where we were treated to Moroccan tea & an explanation of natural herbs & spices. We ended up on the roof top of the pharmacy with a breathtaking view of Marrakech. Overall, Mo showed us the incredible history, spirit & beauty of the old town. Don't miss this tour!

We had a lovely trip with our guide. This is a good introduction to the hidden Medina. He took us to several craftsmen stores where you can buy anything from shoes, to spices, woodwork and more. He introduced us to the marrocan culture, and showed us different landmarks and buildings important to marpccan people. We felt safe and he answered all our questions well.

Our tour with Mohammed was wonderful!
My partner and I don’t normally go on tours but opted for this one as we wanted to get some historical background about the Medina and to visit the less touristy parts of the souk. Mohammed was great! Fun and informative.
We ended up walking around for over 3 hrs. Stopping at various places to have some mint tea and to do a little bit of shopping.
We visited a Riad, the most famous spices and oils shop, gorgeous tailors and shoe makers and the third district of the medina with its hidden oldest houses. We stopped for Moroccan tea and sample local bread. It was a small group of 5 people in total which made it highly enjoyable.
Mohammed was totally up for answering any questions we’ve had and made us feel very welcome. Thank you!
    Highly recommended 😎

Thanks to our tour guide, Hussain, for safely guiding us around the Medina, passing the Souks, into the Bahia Palace, through the Jewish quarter, passing other landmarks such as the mosques and Jewish Cemetary and finishing for a coffee near Jemaa El-Fna square. Hussain was an excellent guide showing his knowledge of the history behind how Marrakesh became the city it is today. Highly recommend this tour!
