Sunset Camel Ride in the Palm Grove of Marrakech
Combine a camel ride with insight into traditional Berber life on this all-in-one, small-group experience in Marrakech—a mix that’s difficult to arrange independently. Visit a Berber home to hear about the family’s daily life as you sip mint tea, and enjoy a camel ride through the palms of the city’s Palmeraie as the sun sinks below the trees. Hotel pickup and drop-off are included for a hassle-free experience.
What to Expect
After late-afternoon pickup from your central Marrakech hotel, travel by comfortable, air-conditioned vehicle to your first stop: a traditional Berber home.

Receive a friendly welcome from the family who inhabits the house, and enjoy a refreshing glass of mint tea, made in time-honored Moroccan style. Chat to the family as you drink and gain fascinating insight into their daily routines and way of life.

Next, continue to the Palmeraie, the swathe of palm groves on Marrakech’s fringes. Here, done a Berber touareg robe and cheich headscarf for sun protection, and after a safety briefing, settle into the single-seat saddle on your camel.

Then, relax and soak in the tranquility as you plod gently through the palms and sands, enjoying the views as the sun sinks below the horizon and taking photos on route.

After an approximately 1-hour ride, return to your vehicle and end your experience with a hotel drop-off.

They are re-used, obviously they are washed as there is only 1 sunset tour a day, but you don't keep them.

I am pretty sure that all pick ups are in the Big Square near Club Med.

I don’t know if it’s “required” per se but it definitely helps protect your skin from the sun and bugs and itchy saddles. And it makes for good pictures :-)
