Experience Marrakech: Food and Market Tour of Djemaa El Fna, Including Traditional Dinner
US$52.74
Overview
Experience the culinary secrets of Djemaa el Fna on a half-day food tour of this bustling Marrakech square and UNESCO World Heritage Site. Whet your appetite with a wide range of treats, walk through the maze-like food markets, and sit down to a full dinner in the heart of Djemaa el Fna. Explore with a small group that's capped at 12 food lovers to ensure a more personalized experience.
What to Expect
Meet a culinary guide at Djemaa el Fna and then set out on a foodie exploration through the heart of the historic city. Sample a range of olives, nuts, and other snacks before entering the poultry and beef market to learn the basics of haggling Moroccan-style.

Next, follow the scent of saffron, cardamom, and turmeric into the Marrakech spice market, where you learn the essential ingredients of Moroccan cuisine. In the open-air souk, see a variety of traditional breads, from pan-fried msemen to the paper-thin beghrir, and taste unusual specialties such as cow hoof, sheep’s head, and ghoulal, a traditional snail soup.

When it’s time for dinner, return to Djemaa el Fna’s throng of snake charmers and entertainers and sit down to a full meal, the perfect ending to an evening of exploring Moroccan food.
