Walking food tours are one of my "must do" in every new city I travel to, and so I've done several: Chicago, London, Florence, Dublin--this one in Georgetown is the one I have done in DC and it is truly how I judge all other tours I've done and I recommend it to literally everyone who visits my city (I'm local and I took this tour and it was worth every penny).

Our tour guide was incredibly knowledgeable, brought bottled water for everyone because it was a warm day, was a blast to hangout and talk with all day, and has selected a number of true local gems (that have since become local favorites of mine).

All of the food is delicious, unique, there's a good blend of meat and vegetarian options, and Mangia was very helpful in arranging non-alcoholic options ahead of time for our guest who does not drink.

On top of that, the history of the neighborhood really made this tour one of the best I've ever been on! I learned so many interesting things and got to walk in a beautiful neighborhood and eat great food. Literally a perfect DC day. I can't wait to go on all of Mangia's tours!

It was interesting and the food was fine. Spoiler alert- last stop is dessert which is a cookie. Interesting restaurant but for a food tour, I think something with a litttle imagination would be in order. First stop was extremely crowded and we could not get out of the way of the other patrons. Very awkward. We don’t mind standing but it was claustrophobic.
Would have given 3 stars but the owner called us after we replied to an immediate survey. He was very nice and listened to our feedback. He told us that others had a blast- we enjoyed talking with others in our group. We love walking tours and meeting people. Again this tour was ok.

It was a wonderful experience walking through the beautiful neighborhoods of Georgetown. We heard some very interesting stories about the history of the city, the structures, and many fun facts. But let's talk about the food. The food offerings were delicious and filling. I'm glad we were walking because I had to work up an appetite for between stops. Shannon was very knowledgeable and gracious to the entire group! If you're a foodie or have never tried a food tour, this is a great experience!

We loved walking around Georgetown and hearing a little bit of history. We enjoyed all our tastings and would highly recommend if you have a free afternoon and want a break from museums. We had 2 kids with us and they enjoyed it as well.

My wife and I took the Georgetown food tour with Lydia, and had a very good time. Lydia presented interesting tidbits of Georgetown flavor, culture, and history throughout the tour, and gave us a lot of info about each restaurant, as well.

The food was consistently good, if not spectacular. The standout dish was the vegetarian tacos from Chaia, which were very flavorful and interesting, and were among the best tacos I've had.

The rest of the tour group was friendly and interesting, and the overall experience was well worth it.

We spent a very enjoyable afternoon with Brian, strolling around the wonderful Georgetown neighbourhood, learning interesting facts about the houses, the area and its history. We called at 4 eateries, learnt about their background and had some really delicious (and generously portioned) food at each of them. The tour was well organised and well led by Brian.

This was an excellent way to experience Georgetown and enjoy good food. We had four different stops which included a beer and all the food we could eat. Haliegh pointed out various interesting items on the colonial homes that we would never have noticed ourselves.

My husband and I had so much fun. Although it was raining the tour guide Lydia was super accommodating offering every item available to keep us dry. The food stops were diversed and awesome!!! Definitely take this tour if you’re around the area and want something fun to do. We all need food on a daily so why not?

We recommend anyone who visits Washington, this fooding and touring experience in Georgetown. Listening to all the great stories related to the amazing history of GEORGETOWN is a delight. As a group of 6 friends attending the International Visitor Leadership Program, our tour was led by the journalist/editor Marsha R.
We particularly appreciated the joyful energy that animated her and her hability to transport us back in times of cotton, tobocco and flour trade history as well as the canal construction or even during J.F. Kennedy's period as Senator... among other facts and stories. For a couple of hours, the architecture of Georgetown was filled with significant meaning and the entire neighborhood became more vibrant to us visitors.
Needless to add that we also enjoyed the fooding experience. The selected establishments based on family, love and friendship affairs were just perfect. In addition to the great tastes and food quality that were provided, the tour concept manages to convey the following key values: hospitality, generosity, equal opportunity, and sustainability.
Thank you for this great unforgettable experience.

I've been on a lot of food tours all over the world, and this is definitely one of the best. Our guide was Dave, and he was fun and knowledgeable. I loved that he had a personal connection with a lot of the shop owners/employees, so it truly felt like we were getting a special and personal visit at each stop. There was a nice variety of food items, and it seems like each location was chosen with purpose. Perhaps this is the glutton in me, but I felt that this tour didn't have quite as much food as some others I've been on. Other than that, I highly recommend it to anyone looking for a great way to eat and explore like a local.
