Overview

This hop-on hop-off bus tour of Washington, D.C., lets you experience the city on your own terms with three curated routes. With so much to see in DC, just finding your way can be overwhelming, but not so on this tour. Plan a succinct day by prebooking a 24-hour pass, or upgrade to a 48-hour pass, which includes a narrated moonlight tour of the city and a river cruise.

What to Expect

Make your way to Union Station to present your voucher for three hop-on, hop-off bus routes through Washington, D.C., Arlington, and Georgetown. You’ll see the city from a double-decker bus; the upper deck is ideal for sunny days, or duck below in case of cooler weather.

As you wind through Washington, D.C., hear the stories behind the nation’s capital with pre-recorded narration and live commentary from local guides. Ride the entire circuit or jump off whenever something catches your eye, whether monuments or Georgetown boutiques.

Your tickets give you access to three loops: Monuments and Landmarks, including the White House, the Washington National Cathedral & Georgetown loop, and an Arlington National Cemetery & Pentagon loop.

Those who opt for the 48-hour pass get a bonus: a 3-hour night tour of D.C. and a 50-minute daytime river cruise that goes past some of the city’s top monuments.

Helps save your feet

The buses run smoothly and on time and the narrators are informative. They tend to be a bit unorganized and our buses were not air conditioned in August. It is hard to see if you sit inside.
