This was an excellent choice for a family tour. Long enough to feel like you’ve really seen something, but short enough to hold the attention spans of younger children. I took this tour on a Sunday morning with my 9 year old son and 11 year old niece. Purchased my tickets online on a website that was informative and well organized. Prices were very reasonable, and tickets were available via printer or virtual. It even put them in my apple wallet for my convenience. The tour starts and ends outside a very reasonably priced souvenir store, so the kids were in the spirit. Duke, our trolley driver and tour guide was friendly and welcoming. He explained what we were going to see and in what order. He outlined where we would stop and what we could do there. He drove very carefully through heavy traffic and never missed a beat on a thoughtful, informative, and humorous narrative as we navigated the city. He also offered advice on which sites were still on COVID restrictions and how to go about double checking hours and occupancy limitations. Duke was also very careful of our safety and made sure that everyone was back on the trolley before taking off from our scheduled stop. I very much enjoyed this tour and would recommend it to anyone who wants to sightsee on a budget- financial or time frame! I will definitely do this again and am excited to also book the evening tour in the future!

This trolley tour only had one stop to get off due to safety restrictions. HOWEVER, our tour guide was funny, knowledgeable, and entertaining. I highly recommend this tour for when you just arrive in town to get a great overview and start your list of what you will go back to see. We loved it!! Highly recommend!

Gets you around, but spent a good portion of the day waiting on trolleys. We probably spent an hour and a half just standing at pickups. Having projected times or GPS trackers would really help this process out. WiFi didn’t have an internet connection on any of the trolleys which isn’t necessary, but was advertised and would have been a nice bonus. Overall the tour guides were pretty good, trolleys were very clean and cared for, and it was nice to get around without having to walk (although we chose to walk regularly due to the 30 minute wait time for trolleys), but for the money I would suggest trying the Big Bus or a private tour company.

Went to the first pickup point, and the driver went right by us. When we finally caught up and asked where to go for the pickup, she waved her hand and pointed in an incorrect direction. The wait, although supposed to be 30 minutes or less, was far longer, and when waiting adds up for multiple stops, your whole day is wasted. In addition, the drivers tended to be abrasive and monotone, making the bus less of an enjoyable experience and more of a painfully loud shuttle you can’t wait to get off of. When we did finally finish at the Lincoln memorial, we did not consider getting back on for a moment, and opted for a taxi. Very easy way to waste $180 and time that could’ve been spent at memorials.

I am not sure why there are so many 5 star reviews. First off there is no more hop on hop off. I get it there was a pandemic, but if you can't do hop on off then at least give an actual tour with interesting info and more than just "if you look left through the trees you can see the Jefferson or MLK monument "
We had an older person with us that would not have been able to walk the 4-5 miles doing everything would have taken so we chose this tour. We did not find out about no hop on off until we were paying, both the bus and website still say hop on etc.
Our driver was very nice and spent a lot of time making corny jokes which is fine.

Went to DC and paid for the Trolley. What a scam! It seemed they only had one trolley in circulation because we had to wait for over 45 minutes and the trolley never showed up. Called and said 10-15 more minutes. We ubered instead and got to our destination. Their operating hours are 9-5, at 4:00 pm is the last boarding and we were not done! Their hours need to be extended until 8 or 9 pm! We couldn't get off and on without having to wait another hour for the next trolley. In short, don't buy this tour-not worth it!

This tour would have been perfect had the busses ran every 30 minutes as advertised. Often the busses would be more like 45 minutes and most times were full. Due to Covid the buses were restricted to the number of passengers for social distancing, but they either sold too many tickets or should have had more buses running.

We scheduled a 1pm tour and got to the trolley station at 1:02pm...we saw the trolley driving away so we missed it. :( One thing's for sure, they are punctual! Luckily the guy at the counter immediately booked us for the 2pm. Overall it was a great tour, the guide was knowledgeable and we got to see a number of sights in DC. They stop at the Lincoln Memorial for 30min so you can see that or other local memorials (Korean, Vietnam), and then after that you're on your way back. It was a nice way to see and learn about the more significant sights in DC.

It is a bit disappointing that there is only one place where you can hop on and off the trolley but overall, the tour was great. The driver/tour guide offered lots of interesting details that we would not have learned on our own. I used to live in DC and was surprised how much I learned during the tour from the guide.

I was really struggling whether to take a tour on one of the hop-on, hop-off busses or the trolley since the bus made more stops. In other cities, we typically choose the bus. Having an in-person guide on this tour, however, made the difference and we are really glad we chose the trolley over the bus!

The guide was excellent. I've been to DC before and it is hard to see the sights on your own. I learned so many things on this tour. It was just great! I highly recommend this tour - especially if you don't have days and days to explore on your own.
