Not worth the money
Aug 2021 • Family
We first visited TV tower in 2013 and it was an exciting experience then. Downstairs there was touch screens that tell the history of TV tower. You could also watch a mini movie on 3D and record the video of yourself reading news with your chosen background. Lots of fun for kids! The lift then took you to the 21st? floor and the little screen showed all the floors you passed. Upstairs more touch screens and an amazing view to the city. One floor up there was an outside viewing area, a simple bit affordable caffe with delicious cakes and a restaurant.
We visited again August this year and what a disappointment it was! The girl in the gift shop selling tickets, seemed uninterested and bored. She directed us straight to the lifts to go to the top, if we hadn’t been before, we wouldn’t have known that there was the first floor area with the screens as well. The cinema room is still there but they don’t show the film anymore. Neither is the video recording equipment working.
We then made our way upstairs, the screen in the lift was not on this time. Upstairs the view is still great and the touch screens are still there too.

Great view of the area from Soviet era TV tower
Sep 2019
Great view of the area from this Soviet era tower. There are photos and multimedia info tables that help identify the sites and history too. You can see the Baltic Sea and forested areas as well as new houses being built and industrial sites too. It really gives you an idea of the size and layout of the Tallinn metro area. Bit of a travel back in time museum in the base.

Breathtaking views
We saw the tower first when arriving by plane, and again from our hotel. We decided it was a must do whilst in Tallinn, and we were not disappointed. We were in Tallinn for only 3 days, so went there and back by taxi (not expensive) to save time. We paid and went straight in, then up in the lift to enjoy the wonderful 360 degree views although it would have been good to know in which direction we were looking. After taking numerous photos, we went up to the restaurant for a glass of lovely warm mulled wine! Then we went outside for the 'real' view in the windy conditions, and took a good video of the experience. All in all we enjoyed it all and felt it good value for money.

Beautiful views
Sep 2019
The Tallinn TV Tower is about 25 minutes by bus from Tallinn's Old Town. If the weather is good, I'd recommend the trip. After taking the elevator to the top, the views are impressive, and there's even a nice lunch counter up there.

Nice views but expensive
Ticket cost was €13. Tower gives lovely panaromic views of the city. There a few bits and pieces to do downstairs then an elevator whisks you up to the 21st floor, which is an indoor observation area. There is an exhibition round the area about cells and DNA, interesting but would've been more informative to tell me what I was looking at outside as I walked round.

You can take the stairs up a floor and walk on the outside balcony which only covers about a 1/3 of the 360 view you got downstairs. There is also a cafe and restaurant on this floor. To give you a rough idea of price a muffin is €4 and an espresso €3. Overall I found it too expensive for what it was.

Versatile experience
Aug 2019
After all these years I finally got myself in the Teletorn. It is just so far out from the city center that you might not go there if you had something else to do closer.

With one visit I experienced the views around, somewhat short history lesson and a dna exhibit. I certainly enjoyed them all. The history lesson was short and approximate but gave a point of view to some things. Dna exhibit did not give much new information since I am already a customer of 23andme.com. But the views out the tower were great. It was absolutely great to see how everything is situated in real life. Map tells you something but a bird view is something else. Fantastic!

Still it does not take the fun out of seing the city center from a tower/roof closer to the city. Teletorn is so far that the details of the old town and Tallinn in over all are not seen the perfect way.

There is also a small display of historical tv studio equipment.

Dear Tatu! The Old town is 10 km away from Tallinn TV Tower, it is not so far ;) But next time, when you will be in Tallinn, let us know, we will show you our DNA exhibition from the other side! Have a nice day !

DON'T GO WITH YOUNG CHILDREN
Aug 2019 • Family
I went to vist with 3 kids. Youngest 9mnth old. As usual you prepare, give them a talk what you will do. Got there. Two kids in stroller, bit tired. On ticket counter I was told no stroller allowed. I had 71cm.wide double stroller. I said its not possible to go with baby without stroller. I said I have small one (airport handluggage size) in car that I can use instead. Then an old man was called. He simply stated I can't go in with stroller. My mum is in wheelchair, so I asked if you send people in wheelchair back too. They said no. So my mum alone is allowed. DON'T GO, HAVE COME ACROSS SO RUDE AND UNFRIENDLY SERVICE FOR LONG TIME. ALSO LEAVE KIDS HOME, EVEN THOUGH IT IS MEANT FOR KIDS

Thank You for your review, Marie. Strollers aren't allowed purely because of safety reasons. We are really sorry that this sort incident occurred and we were unable to explain the situation.

Leg Shaking!
We took the number 34A bus out of town. Lovely scenic route past the seafront and through some forest. Got a of at teletorn bus stop and the entrance was right there. No queues brought our tickets there. Up to the viewing platform lots of interactive games for the kids. We then went up to the outside viewing platform they have blankets as it was a lot cooler up there. My son had a fantastic instructor Karl who took him around the outside.....my legs
were then shaking even more. Fantastic views we did not do the exhibition or explore outside but there was great play areas for younger kids. I loved the view holes the most... torturing my shaky legs. There is a lovely cafe with a full bar had a lovely hit chocolate to round it off.

Amazing!
May 2019 • Friends
Visible for miles, the Tallinn Television Tower is well worth the 13 euro entrance fee (despite what other reviewers have said). A lift takes you up to the 175 metre level, from which there is a fantastic view. On a clear day you are supposed to be able to see as far as Finland, but the slight haze the day that we were there prevented us from seeing that far.
Great restaurant at the top, 360 degree view, amazingly comprehensive DNA exhibition (not sure of the relevance, but excellent nevertheless), some small glass plates in the floor giving a view straight down for 175 metres - I couldn't stand on those, but did go out of the enclosed area to the outside (still perfectly safe) but no way could I do the 'walk on the edge').
