We went to the trip which combined bogshoes walking + canoeing. Our guide was Jane, a very nice person who loves nature and knows Soomaa into the greatest detail. Jane gave us so much interesting informations about places we went through and things we saw.
First we went for a walk in bogshoes through the bogs and we even had a swim in one of the lakes. This was such a great experience!! On the way back we found so much blackberrys & blueberrys and we coul'nt stop eating 😍
After a wonderful lunch with lokal food specialities we went canoeing down the river. So quiet and wonderful nature.

We can highly recommend this activity with this copany. We also thanks Jane for this unforgettable day!

We went to the trip which combined bogshoes walking + canoeing. Our guide was Edu and this day was one of our two best days in Estonia (actually all days spent in Estonia were great, but this one was outstanding).
Communication with owner via Whatsup was fast and reliable.
Edu is a very nice guy who loves nature and knows Soomaa into the greatest detail. Edu told us many interesting stories and informations about places we went through and things we saw. I can imagine to spend a week with him and listen to all he has to say about nature.
First we went for a walk in bogshoes through the bogs and we even had a swim in one of the lakes. Edu gave us total privacy while swimming. Then we went canoing down the river, which was possible for experienced ones of us and for totally unexperienced as well.
I can sicerely reccommend this compamy for a trip, I have nothing to complain, everything went very smooth.
NB: bring some natural mosquito repelent with you and wear light clothes

We enjoyed a lot all the parts of this activity with our guide, Aivar.
Our group was formed by 7 people (aged 65) and we made the full day tour incuding some hiking, bog shoeing and canoeing, with a lot of fun, breathtaking landscapes and interesting infos provided by our guide. The meals inluded were home made and also very good.

Amazing little journey in a unique environment. We're glad we have chosen the guided trip as it would have been very difficult to have an equal experience by ourselves. Very beautiful landscapes and great information from the guide who has a deep knowledge of the story and of the park and of the nature there.

Canoe service was very convenient and fairly priced. The river was beautiful, especially the flowers, dragonflies and butterflies. Something to relax, nothing adventurous (at least our tour) we could bring our 3 year old no problem. They had a vest and paddle for her and the boat is plenty spacious.
Went on the recommended walk to some big lakes after and had a nice swim.

The weather was perfect! At first we walked a little bit in a forest with tons of mosquitoes. The bog was absolutely amazing and fun and a little bit exciting too. Shall we get stuck or no? Shall we sink? We had a refreshing dip in a small pond. We had a really nice and delicious lunch with traditional delicacies. Then we went canoeing. Beautiful! We even saw a king fisher. Our guide Edu was super! We had really nice discussions and we learned a lot of Estonian nature and language. I highly recommend this trip!

Took the night beaver canoe tour Yesterday and had Aivar himself as a guide. We had a lot of fun and experienced the silent side of the park. Did not see Beavers but their nests and some birds and bats. Everything was well organised.

Had a chance to visit Soomaa end of September. It was cold but it was worth it. Walk through the National Park, did some canoeing, tried the best local Estonian food, walked through 10,000 years old bogs. If you go there i suggest contact Aivar Ruukel, he will give you a true local insight to the park.

I had the opportunity to visit Soomaa National Park in October, which is after the popular summer tourism season but still very pleasant (not too hot, not too cold), and - thanks to our wonderful local guides Aivar and Algis - had a very relaxing, memorable and educational experience canoeing and walking around the national park. If you're interested in protected area management and nature conservation in European parks, Soomaa's recent experience becoming a PAN Parks destinations (panparks.org) - and what makes Soomaa one of Europe's best wilderness areas - is a fascinating story to learn about. The Soomaa wilderness experience is also a great way to get to know rural Estonia from a local's perspective - about the 'fifth season' (when Soomaa's vast bog area gets flooded and people get around by canoe), about Estonian's love of smoke-sauna, and about all the great local and fresh vegetable, berries, milk products and traditional dishes you can enjoy. I would love to go back sometime to experience some of the other four seasons in Soomaa, each of which I'm sure is enjoyable in its unique way.
