About the operator
Don’t take it from us – here’s what people have to say about this operator:
- ingridhopenb0 contributionsFood tour for a group of 8 friendsThank you for a great Food tour, we all enjoyed the walk, the Food and especially Our guide. She had a lot of knowledge and patience to answer all our questions, and her Swedish was excellent and easy to understand. The tour was well organized and you showed us places we would never found by ourselves, and gave us some memorable tastes.Written 10 July 2024
- Coastal571395780960 contributionsWonderful food & wine tour in BratislavaI had a short stay in Bratislava - less than one day to experience what I could of the city, its culture and cuisine. Daniela was amazing. She was an exceptional host and guide who made the most of the short time I had to work with. I was not only fed delicious food, but was educated by Daniela on Bratislava and the region. I highly recommend!Written 1 June 2024
- janealj0 contributionsFantastic TourSilvia was the most extraordinary guide! Warm, knowledgeable, and full of keen insights, she took us to a wonderful variety of pubs, markets, and restaurants. Her choices provided us great opportunities to experience the cuisine of Bratislava. The next day we returned to three of the sites we visited with her. Not only were the foods absolutely delicious and memorable but we received a first rate history of Bratislava. Silvia also introduced us to the beverages of Slovakia. It was truly worthwhile and I would enthusiastically encourage anyone to book a tour with Silvia.Written 28 May 2024
- raemig0 contributionsTaste of Bratislava, Bratislava Traditional Food TourHighly recommend this tour if you find yourself in Bratislava for a day! This tour not only introduces you to some of the traditional food in Bratislava, but it also takes you to off-the-beaten track restaurants and experiences that are where the Slovakian locals actually eat and dine. It was awesome to leave the city center where the tourists concentrate and walk a bit outside to experience more of the local culture, and, of course, the food. So this tour is not only about eating, it’s about seeing a different way of life – which was fantastic! Daniela was our tour guide and she is as charming as she is knowledgeable. Spending time with her for a few hours was like talking to a friend! Special Note: The food tour I had signed up for canceled on me within 24 hours of the tour start. So Daniela, at Taste of Bratislava, was able to work me in as a last minute add to a tour she had planned. It was so very appreciated, as my day in Bratislava would not have been as wonderful if I couldn’t have done this experience!Written 25 May 2024

- alexandra_H5822TO0 contributionsThree-hour walking tour of BratislavaIn September 2023, we went on a company outing to Bratislava on the Twin City Liner. Our guide Andrea picked us up at the Radisson Blue Carlton Hotel. She was immediately sympathetic to all of us and immediately scored with a great general knowledge of the city, the neighboring countries, as well as facts and figures about Bratislava. Furthermore, she was very courteous and attentive and also paid attention to breaks. We liked it very much and we recommend the tour.Written 18 September 2023
- T4614KBnataliac0 contributionsEMS2023 tourThe guide had good expertise about the topic and gave us interesting informations about beer crafting and so on. It was nice also the process that we had to evaluate the beers according to our taste. I just missed the water accompanying the beer tasting, especially for business events, where we need to be good for the other day :)Written 6 September 2023
- gee_vu0 contributionsBest beer experienceEverything was perfect. Every beer was explained in detail. The guide was super friendly and super ready to answer any kind of question.Written 6 September 2023
- O356ACmelissat0 contributionsAwesome Wine Tasting ExperienceWe had an amazing wine tasting experience with Daniela! - WineTravelingReader0 contributionsAn amazing wine tasting experience!Daniela and Daniel were awesome!I had an amazing private tour with the two of them. They picked me up at my hotel in a very nice large van. The two of them were quite knowledgeable and shared a lot of insights about wine, Bratislava and Slovakia overall. The two wineries we went to were fun and very different. The 1st winery was a family winery and we had a lovely tour of the property in english followed by a tasting with cheese which was delicious. It has a super cool weather tour you can climb that gives you a gorgeous view of the area. Also, they have a wine vending machine that is super cool. The 2nd winery was in a palace more in the city center and was in a cellar with a historic museum that showcases years of wine production. There were some wonderful pieces of machinery and large barrels. Greatly recommend it!! Every wine I tasted here was incredible and I purchased all of them. On the way back, we stopped at the Modra Ceramics which was lovely and had some beautiful pieces. As we got closer to the city, we also stopped at a gorgeous vine filled area so I could get some beautiful pictures taken. It was a gorgeous area with vines and mountains. If you want to enjoy a fun wine tasting experience while in Bratislava look no further than Taste Bratislava!! 5 stars recommended!!Written 10 July 2023
- ckoshuta0 contributionsThe wine is just a Bonus! We did a wine tasting tour in the countryside. Our driver and guide were both great fun, very knowledgeable, and showed us Slovakian countryside in a way we could have never done on our own. Do this tour for the history, views, and rural experience. The wine is just a bonus.Written 6 July 2023

We booked this tour a couple of days before we left for Bratislava and I'm glad we did. Daniela was very accommodating when we asked for her to pick us up at our apartment and we started with a trip to the Blue Church and then on to Devin castle. It was strange to try and picture this ancient place as not so long ago being on the frontline of the Iron Curtain. Back in Bratislava we visited the Soviet war memorial and then spent some time in the castle grounds before heading back into the old town for a bite to eat and a stroll through some of the interesting alleyways.
The day was a great introduction to Bratislava and helped us get our bearings in the old town too. We learned and saw so much that we'd never have found out on our own in the short time we had in the city.
I'd recommend this trip to anyone who wants to see Bratislava, but doesn't have a long break in which to do it. The first part of the day is in a car and then, once back in Bratislava you are on foot - a perfect combination of covering lots of ground and seeing things up close.

We decided to do this tour since we were just a short train ride away in Vienna. Our guide Eva met us at the train station with our driver Daniel. They were both just the most friendly guides and very concerned with our comfort. I mentioned that I had Slovak heritage and we had fun talking about that a bit. This is a comprehensive tour and you see a lot. Devin Castle ruins were a highlight and both Daniel and Eva had an interesting perspective and stories to tell since they both lived in the city during the iron curtain days. Other highlights included Bratislava castle, the blue church and the old historic town. The first part of our tour was by car with various stops then we took a lunch break for some great local food and Eva came back for us after lunch to do the walking part of the tour in the historic district. We decided to stay in town an extra hour after the tour but Daniel nicely offered to come back for us to take us to the train. Uber was very reliable so we did that as to not trouble him. Great day and I would definitely recommend this tour.
