Slovenia in One Day: Small-Group Day Trip to Lake Bled, Postojna Cave and Predjama Castle from Ljubljana
US$159.73
Overview
To the east of Ljubljana are the popular sights of Lake Bled, Predjama Castle, and Postojna Cave but unless you hire a car, ticking them all off in one day can be difficult. This tour lets you expereince all four with ease, making it ideal for travelers with limited time in Slovenia: travel by boat to Bled Island, visit Bled Castle’s museum, explore Renaissance-era Predjama Castle, and see the rock formations of Postojna Cave.
What to Expect
Begin your day with a pick-up at your Ljubljana hotel in an air-conditioned minivan and travel with your small group and driver-guide to Lake Bled. On the hour-long drive through the countryside, you’ll learn about the history of the area from your guide.

Catch a ride on a traditional wooden pletna boat and float across the lake to Bled Island. Once you disembark, you’ll have time to independently explore the Church of the Assumption of Mary (own expense).

When you return from the island, make your way to Bled Castle and visit the museum. Enjoy the views of the lake and snap pictures from the clifftop.

Drive onto Predjama Castle, a Renaissance-era structure built into the side of a cliff. Afterwards, journey to Postojna Cave, where you will ride a mini-train through the rock formations. At the end of the day, your guide drives you back to your hotel.

Your bus will stop for approx 1 and a half-to 2 hours. That includes the boat trip( rowing boat) to the island, your stay on the island and then back to mainland.
