About the operator
Don’t take it from us – here’s what people have to say about this operator:
- Clo5480 contributionsBad and good? They pick you up almost on the dot of the time they text you, so be early. Had an efficient driver. Plenty of toilet breaks once you get to the Salt Mines and also midway through the tour. It's very narrow and hard to hear, so I missed a lot of information. The tour guide was lovely and clearly very knowledgeable but sadly I didn't hear much of it as it was a very large group. On the way back I quickly popped to the loo and gift shop (10mins) and went to the van to find he was about to leave without me. So it did feel very rushed but I still think worth a visit.Written 15 September 2024
- Leannewilks0 contributionsSad somber day but a must seeWe visited Auschwitz-Birkenau with Hello Cracow tours and it was very well managed, we were picked up from our hotel (we were a little bit out of the way so we paid £20 to be collected for 6 of us which is a bargain! We also paid £8.87 each for a packed lunch (as we knew it would be a long day but you could just take your own lunch/snacks) The dinner was a ham, cheese and salad wrap which was delicious a pack of biscuits, a chocolate wafer, a bottle of water, juice box, banana and apple as well as a pack of tissues!) The tour itself felt a little rushed because there was so many groups it would have been nice to take more time, having said that the headsets were a great way to hear what our tour guide was saying and she was very fluent in English, she speaks English way better than I do polish that is for sure! Obviously the day was tough, what these poor people had to deal with is harrowing and it really doses make you realise just how awful the whole situation was it is very much a must see! I would not go back as it is upsetting but I’m pleased I went and I would recommend everyone to experience it onceWritten 12 September 2024
- johnlO5958UV0 contributionsExcellent organisation and communicationWould not hesitate to recommend Hello Cracow as tour organisers. Communication pre-tour was excellent, conducted via Whatsapp, meeting times were confirmed well in advance, additional services were offered but never pushy, our guide arrived on time and had excellent English. There are numerous tour operators offers similar packages bit I can only praise the service offered by this provider. They also arranged an airport transfer which was well priced, professional and equally well organised.Written 10 September 2024
- U5187SScarolinev0 contributionsExcellent trip - well worth it!Excellent trip - our driver, Lucas, was great - on time, good company and had excellent English and knowledge and door to door service. The stop for cheese and vodka tasting was delicious . Tatra mountains - the view was amazing. Zakopane was filled with tourist souvenir stalls and shops, both at the top of the mountain and in the village more of the same. It was enjoyable but would have preferred less time there and more time at the thermal baths. The thermal spa was fantastic - so many to enjoy! Thanks for a great trip!Written 7 September 2024
- Loschex0 contributionsCool salt mine experience near KrakowThe tour was impressive. It took about 2.5 hours. The sculptures are incredible. However, by the time it was over, I was definitely ready to get out of the close quarters.Written 7 September 2024
- mira c0 contributionsWell organized tourI travel with two elders. It’s a well organized tour. Everything is explained clearly. The tour guy tried to meet any needs from us. We had a wonderful trip and enjoy it a lot!! The scenery is amazing. Thermal bath in the end makes it a perfect ending for the trip. The pick-up and drop-off service from hotel make things much more convenient for elders, thou the traffic back in town makes them car sick a little. Wish we could have more time staying there. After all, it’s a day trip unfortunately :P Hopefully, we will get another chance to stay longer :) it’s highly recommend.Written 7 September 2024

He was excellent in providing clear information about the trip and very knowledgeable about the places we visited. The trip was great and the views are stunning from the town itself. - rebekahl3260 contributionsExcellent!I had seen a lot of people recommend this company online. Very easy to book and navigate website. Grzegorz was the driver for the trip to the Saltmines. He was on time at the address given. Really lovely person who knew lots about the city, and even had some great recommendations for dinner! I particularly like this company as they send you the make and registration number of the vehicle collecting you, the day before! I would definitely recommend this company to anyone visiting Krakow!Written 11 August 2024

- CCC0 contributionsBooked this tour, paid this price, did not get hotel pickup2nd time to Auschwitz, it is a place you must visit if you come to Krakow, but not with this company. Their ‘guide’ only gets you to the entrance where you pickup an official guide. Our Cracow guide gave little information about how the day would be run, either before or during our time with her. It didn’t seem good service at all, between paying for pickup and not getting it, and all the lack of coordination. Suggest you buy tickets directly and take an Uber or train.Written 9 August 2024

As soon as we arrived in Poland, we received a welcome message, informing us of our confirmation dates and times, and offering help and information if we needed it during our time in Krakow. Communication continued, including the offer of a lunch box, which we purchased, and was really good value and quality, then from the collection, and during both parts of the visit, our driver showed exactly where to go to meet our tour guide, which considering how busy the entrance area was, was absolutely seamless. The tour was superbly conducted, with just the correct tone, given the subject matter, and was worth the trip to Poland by itself, although Krakow is spectacular!!

It’s hard to say I had a “nice time” visiting such a sad part of history, but I think visiting Auschwitz is something anyone visiting this part of the world should do, and I highly recommend this tour. The tour guide was very informative and thorough and kept an appropriate and respectful tone, and the driver was very well organized, timely, and kind. Booking and paying was also very simple!

Thank you for your feedback!
We are very pleased that you appreciate the effort put into organising the trip. As for the memorial itself. It's hard to find a sadder place in the world that is also a must-see.
At Hello Cracow we also do lots of tours for fun. It is worth taking advantage of them so that your stay in Poland is not associated with sadness. I recommend Zakopane or Wieliczka Salt Mine.

We were staying in Krakow on a short break to visit the Christmas market and booked two trips, to here and the Salt Mines, a couple of months before we visited. Great response from the company right from the start, and this included a WhatsApp message to check that they had the correct phone number. They messaged again the day before our trip to confirm booking , and arrange a pick up time directly from our hotel. We booked the small group trip ( max number of guests 15) which we would highly recommend. Minibus was on time and a very clean modern vehicle. Norbert our driver was very chatty and friendly , and talked to guests on the 1,5 hr journey, where we learnt a lot about Poland and its history. When we arrived at Auschwitz , Norbert sorted out the tickets and took us to meet our guide , and arranged a time and place to meet him again at the end of the tour. Afterwards there is a short break where you can eat lunch, recommend either taking your own or pre-booking one from Hello Krakow as limited facilities on site. Its a short 15 minute drive to Birkentau where you meet up with your guide again to finish the tour. Driver then takes you back to your pick up point. Can highly recommend the company if visiting Krakow

We used Hello Crakow after being recommended to them by family who had used them a few months prior . They were faultless from the minute we contacted them. Not only did we use them for the Auschwitz Birkenau tour but also booked Airport Pick ups & Returns through them . The Airport pick ups & drop offs were great & no more dearer than a taxi would have been from review prices I’d seen. Smartly dressed & friendly driver waiting at arrivals for us with a clean tidy car waiting outside & coming back a Small smart tidy Mercedes minibus with friendly driver arriving at our hotel exactly at time I’d requested. The Auschwitz & Birkenau tour we were collected on a small coach from the hotel exactly at the time they’d advised & the guide (Michal was our guide ) was just fantastic - So informative, knowledgable & passionate to ensure you got a full understanding about these places & ready to answer any questions you might have ( although he was so informative there were very few questions left to be asked. They kept in touch with us constantly by WhattsApp both before arriving & also whilst in Krakow & if we contacted then to confirm times etc they came straight back with precise friendly confirmations & info. Cannot recommend this company highly enough if you’re visiting Krakow & need to book trips , airport transfers or need any help, assistance or information whilst your in their wonderful City - Thankyou Hello Crakow for all your help, re-assurance, being exactly where you said you would be when you said you’d be there & being available on Whatts App at all times in a City we were unfamiliar with .

From the beginning to the end of the booking Hello Cracow kept in contact and made the process very easy. They got in touch shortly after booking to confirm and discuss where they could collect. Since the hotel I had booked was quite far out they recommended some other hotels. I took their advice and booked a different hotel, which I was very happy with. A day or two prior to my trip they contacted me again to check in and make sure I had everything that I needed. On the day of my trip they were on time and explained the whole process clearly and made everything very easy. Our tour guide was great and transfers between auschwitz and Birkenau was simple and well organised. I thoroughly enjoyed this trip and how it was hassle free and all booked in advance. I didn’t have to worry or contact them once, as they were so efficient in doing all the contact. This was especially good as I was a single adult travelling with a child. Would highly recommend using this company and have already recommended to a friend who will be visiting in a few weeks

Hi there, glad to hear that we met expectations. As for the bus, we usually drive a van with up to 8 people, and sometimes a bus with up to 15 people. We never use large coaches that are overcrowded.
Thanks for your feedback and see you next time!

Beware, the itinerary is misleading. They promise 2 hrs at Auschwitz I, but our tour was less than 90 minutes. For proof, I have timestamped pictures from the front gate to the gas chamber at the very end.
They promised 1.5 hours at Birkenau, but it was only around 60 minutes.
This tour is extremely rushed. We did not actually stop for the exhibits except for when the guide was speaking, after which they left immediately. Otherwise we were given a few seconds to glance at the exhibits as we followed them out. We were also given no time to reflect, including in the gas chambers. I’ve also provided a time stamped picture of the entrance to the chamber (the oven is at the end of this area). Three minutes from beginning to end. And I stayed behind. It was probably less.
As one example, there is a prison block that is preserved in its original state. I was able to look in a single room before we moved on, after which I had to glance at the others. I missed most of them.
Overall, I feel misled. I picked this because it advertised a longer tour, but it was much faster than anticipated. When you pay for a tour guide (especially at a free museum) you expect a full experience, but I came away feeling like I missed a lot.
When other reviews complain about the short time, the company says “it’s your fault for booking the 3.5 hour tour” but this tour wasn’t even that long.
If you want to actually see the exhibits and be given the time to reflect and absorb the weight, you should book a longer tour or come by yourself on your own time.

We are sorry that we did not fully meet your expectations. Perhaps you were expecting something more. But 3.5h is the time of the entire trip on site, with a break, commuting between camps, time to reflect, bookstore, etc. I guess you didn't take that into account. Importantly, each guide has his own style of tour, his own pace, his own rhythm. It's a shame you didn't write when the tour was, because we could check who your guide was and show him /her a review. Thanks for your important word!

Our driver picked us up on time from right outside our hotel, there was 7 people in the car including my wife and I, the driver was very friendly and informative the car was clean and well maintained, it was a very hot sunny day and we were provided with air conditioning, our driver pointed out areas of interest during the journey to Auschwitz, this took approximately 1 hour 20 minutes from the old town Krakow.
When we arrived at Auschwitz 1 we were joined by a few other groups and we all met up with our tour guide.
Our tour guide was amazing she has worked as a tour guide at the camps for over 25 years so was very informative and took time to chat and answer questions.
She explained key details and took her time to point out certain areas or parts of the exhibits.
You can tell she had a passion and extreme knowledge for the history and terrible acts that had happened at the camps.
We spent 1 and a half hours at Auschwitz 1 then we had a lunch break, we brought our own food but you had the option to pay for a lunch provided by the driver and it looked like a very nice lunch.
After lunch we were taken to the famous Auschwitz 2 Birkenau which was just a short drive from Auschwitz 1.
Again we met up with the rest of our extended group and explored this camp also.
If you haven't been to these places then you must go, everyone should see this horrific place with their own eyes.
And if you do go then I highly recommend this company.
A huge thanks to all of you and we hope to see you another time.

No trip to Krakow would be complete without a visit to the site of the modern worlds scene of industrial inhumanity at Auswitz Birkanau. We booked and paid for this 7 hour trip with “Hello Krakow” before we left the UK. 2 and a half hours of this time is travelling to and from the camp. Our guide for the day was Pavel, a young man who was very knowledgeable on the subject matter. I will not go into what we saw that day but will keep this review more about the trip itself. We could not fault Pavels care to both us as tourists, but also to the memory of those who suffered at this place. He was very courteous, helpful and explained everything clearly and thoroughly. During his commentary you can hear and see the emotion that his work has on him. “Hello Krakow” kept us regularly informed with emails and texts regarding hotel pick up times, vehicle registration and drop off. We also booked two very full packed lunches with them, and they were very good value for money. The transport was very comfortable and with aircon. Would I book with this company again? Yes I would. Thank you Pavel (from you two front seat passengers), your professionalism that day made our trip a very special day indeed.

Driver was very communicative and was very accommodating every time we needed to access the van. We were picked up right in front of our Airbnb which was convenient. The tour guides are official Auschwitz guides, which the company arranged for us.
Overall the tour was good and everything we expected. You’re basically paying for someone to set up and take care of the entire experience for you, which in my opinion was well worth it.
My girlfriend and I did not pay for the lunch but it seemed to be quite decent as well.

Brilliant trip. The organisation of the tour was seamless and I was given all the information in really good time by WhatsApp. The pickups were on time and the tour guide was extremely knowledgeable and informative and made the day brilliant. To top it off, I made an error with my booking and the tour company worked hard to rectify it for me. This company also organised airport transfers which again worked seamlessly. They were reasonably priced, on time/early to pick us up and I was kept informed throughout the whole process. Cannot recommend this company enough!

Our pickup with Hello Krakow was at 9am at our hotel and returned at 5:30pm. Bring a sack lunch as stoping at restaurants is not likely. Our tour told us this and was good advice.

Hi, I was wondering how I would know or choose which pick up and drop off location out of the four options?

I paid the extra advertised fee for the pick up at my Hotel , & identified it when setting up the order. The day before the Event, they indicated that they do not pick up at that Hotel. We then had to walk about 1/2 mile the next day to their specified pick up location, & they never credited me for a Hotel pick up, & instead cricizede for leaving a negative comment. A more in-advance communication on pick up might have helped.
