I hightly reccommend you take this tour as soon as you arrive in Prague as your guide will not only tell you the history of this amazing city but also give you tips on where to eat, what to see and what to be aware of. We booked the tour for our second day in Prague but wished we had booked for our first day as the rest of our stay was so much more fun once we knew a lot more about the city, where to go, what to see, what to do and where to eat.

Our tour guide for the day was Andrea.What a lovely lady, with fantastic English. Andrea was very informative and made the tour so interesting. This tour is such good value for money but wear comfortable shoes as there is a lot of walking!
It was fun riding a tram up to the castle, which was paid for as part of the tour.

We were amazed at how much was included in with the price of the tour and well worth the money. Included is a guided walking tour with a guide of your language choice, Tram ride up to the castle, Entry in to the castle grounds and cathedral. Lunch at a restaurant in the square ( it was a small meal with a drink but more than adequate for a lunch stop) A trip on a boat along the river with a snak and drink. And entry in to the museum.

We did go in to the museum at the end (as it was free!) but not many in our group did and i must admit it was a fairly small museum which i didn't find very interesting (just my opinion).

We were warned about pick pockets but we never saw any trouble and felt quite safe walking around, even at night. There are quite a few homeless people but you will find this in any big city, just be aware of your surroundings and keep your belongings safe and secure,

We asked Andrea about Prague Zoo ( It is one of the top 5 zoo's in the whole world). We visited on our last day and it was amazing, well worth a visit. I have never seen so many different animals in a zoo. We live near an amazing zoo in England but Prague zoo was definetly up there with the best. We took a taxi to it arranged by our hotel, which was so easy to arrange.

Book this tour, you really wont be dissapointed, it really is worth every penny.

Unexpected gem

I booked this tour with low expectations (especially when considering the low price), but the positive reviews goaded me over.
Despite my initial trepidation, my colleagues and I were blown away by everything included - our very friendly and knowledgeable guide Pavel shared many interesting insights into the city of Prague, and we got to see many of the best historical highlights. Our group had a total size of 17 people.
Even the food included was excellent (we ate at the Restaurant "Bar Restaurant Orloj"). I would recommend this tour for every Prag visitor - you won't find better value for money.
Thank you to "Fun in Prague" and our guide Pavel, you made our trip something special!

Great Value for the Experience!!
We thoroughly enjoyed this tour and felt it was GREAT value for the money. We were in a group of 13 people, which was a good size…we saw many other walking tour groups of 30-50 people and T hey seemed too large and impersonal.

Our guide was Thomas, a local Czech who spoke excellent English. He really MADE the day with his insights, experiences and command of the local history…even when we asked him somewhat random questions.

The walking part of the tour was about 4 hours, but we covered only about 3 miles (Prague is compact and we had a few short tram rides…so don’t worry about the distance part). The lunch was very good and the boat trip was a nice conclusion. And Thomas never took us anywhere where we felt “pressured” to buy anything.

We would highly recommend!!

Awesome guide but poor arrangement

I can only recommend to get a guided tour of the historic Prague upon arrival because it will get you an excellent orientation of the city.
Our guide was Elisabeth - It is clear she really loves the city and has lots of historic knowlegde which she shares with enthusiasm. So she easily gets five stars from us.
However, from the tour company the whole arrangement could easily be improved from a nice experience to a great one with a few remedies.
1) When there are several tours starting at the same time, at the same meeting point, it would make sense that the guides had unigue identifiers instead of them all carriyng orange umbrellas - would make it a lot easier to find your group.
2) Headsets would be great improvement so you can better hear the guide.
3) On a hot day it would be nice to have a couple of pitstops to buy/drink water because you walk a lot.
4) It would also be nice to know in advance that it is a good idea to bring clothing to cover shoulders in respect of the cathedral when entering.
5) Last, but not least, the included lunch was really a disappointment, at least for us. Our group (18 people) had the worst seats of the restaurant in a back room next to the kitchen. Poor service and the food wasn’t served at the same time, resulting in several didn’t have time to finish the meal before moving on. And in our opinion the food was really below standard but that is a matter of personal reference of course.
There is definately room for improvement but still an ok experience due to Elisabeths knowlegde of Prag.

The headsets are usually included when the group is that big, however the supplier company had a technical issue on this day. We also try to make smaller groups of people, this was an exception caused by the emergency of another guide. Again, we are sorry about your experience. Fun in Prague Team

Architecturally this place is beautiful.
The city is very compact and suffers from pollution from the very heavy, busy road traffic causing the fronts of the city buildings to be blackened with soot.
Found it difficult to determine what buildings in the city were in use or derelict with mostly heavy closed doors, no sign of lights inside and unfortunately many covered in graffiti. However from a litter pint of view the city is very clean.
Reasonably cheap, however keep an eye on your receipt to check if a service charge has already been added as if you hand them the money and say thank you (for collecting your money alone) they take it as an additional tip and keep the change which can be quite costly.
Found the locals polite but not very chatty and surly.
No need to spend more than two full days there however the crowds later in the year will increase causing queues which we didn’t experience in mid February.

Careful booking - no refunds if unable to go

Unfortunately, I had to cancel because I was unwell. My expectation was they would refund because I was unable to use the service and called in advance; however, they did not offer any refund. Because of the uncertain nature of travel, illness, late flights, can all easily happen. Would probably book a “hop on, hop off” tour when downtown next time to avoid the $90 per person cost to cancel.

I am sorry but can you tell me how advanced did you let us know? Cancellation policy is 24 hour, also - there was a guide for you and the group which means that this guide/s must get paid. Feel free to book hop on/off next time if you feel like that would suit you better, but I 100% stand with our product and its quality (as you can see by majority of positive reviews). Cancellation policy is there for a reason. Fun in Prague Team

I would give this one star if it weren’t for our wonderful and knowledgeable tour guide Jana. Her tour was the only thing that made this package bearable. The restaurant was Staroměstské - one of the tourist traps in Prague Old Town Square. The service was abominable, even by European standards. The waiters became upset that members of our group asked for glasses of water (it was almost 100 degrees), and argued that we would have to pay because only beer was included. We gladly agreed we would pay for the tap water, but it was still a problem for some reason. The food was awful. I had a wilted, moldy salad that was inedible. One person at the table didn’t even bother trying to stomach his food. They also shoved our group all in the back where the thermometer read 87 degrees, but all the regular customers were able to sit up front with fans (and water). The boat ride wasn’t much better - you get a ticket for a tiny wooden boat that is also a tourist trap. After waiting in line for an hour and then waiting at least another thirty minutes on the boat, you end up doing a uneventful circle under the Charles Bridge. You don’t see anything you haven’t already seen on the earlier part of the tour, and effectively don’t go anywhere. Complete waste of time and money.

A very good tour and it's worth the money
My tour guide is Jana L, she is excellent, she is very active, energetic, fun and easygoing. She showed all of us many places and explained everything, not make us feel rushed on the tour. She is patient to all the questions. The lunch is just so so, the restaurant made the food very salty, that's why I couldn't finish all but to be fair, with the price of the tour included the lunch and a drink, I could understand and I don't expect a fancy restaurant or a perfect lunch. Generally speaking, I'm very satisfied with this tour and all efforts the tour guide made, during a 6 hours tour we went to many places and had the experience on the boat, included the lunch and a drink, I have to say this tour is really really worth the money. I definitely recommend it, especially if you just stay in Prague for a short time.

Best Tour of the City
The English speaking tour guide was extremely knowledgeable on all aspects of the city. His passion and enthusiasm was well noted and appreciated. I liked how the price of the tour included a trip on the tram, a traditional Czech lunch, a boat tour, and a ticket to the boat museum. This was money well spent for a 6-hour tour! I highly recommend this as the best tour of Prague!

Jana was a great tour guide - very kind and knowledgeable. We were part of a group of 12 and Jana made everyone feel welcome and included. The tour was well worth the money and informative - would highly recommend to those spending a few days in Prague as we saw everything we wanted to see plus more.
