About the operator
Don’t take it from us – here’s what people have to say about this operator:
- beverleye4440 contributionsA great way to see the North CapeExcellent tour to North Cape with North Cape Tours. Pick-up was at the port 2 mins from the cruise ship. Our driver Bernadette was great - a very careful driver and she added to the recorded commentary to point things out along the way. The commentary itself was clear, concise and humorous and very informative without just pumping facts and figures at you. We had 2 stops en route - at a small fishing village and at a Sami camp - before arriving at North Cape. Here we had plenty of time to see everything and view the short film, before the drive back to Honningsvaag and a short "city" tour. A very enjoyable experience, made even better by having fabulous weather, and I have to say that the company does live up to its promise to adjust its tours to the arrival and departure time of the cruise ships, although it may take a few messages to get confirmation of the change! Thank you to all at North Cape Tours.Written 24 July 2024
- 442dennisr0 contributionsA tour that leaves an hour before midnight ! That's a first !"Your Experience Matters " is what it says on their website. I don't think so ! Be very careful when booking on this site. We were offered 2 time slots : 11.00 and 1.30. for our bus trip to the North Cape. Little did we know that 11.00 meant 11pm. Why would we book a trip for 11pm when our ship sailed at 6pm ? We arrived on the dock in the middle of chaos. We found the North Cape Tours rep and showed her our tickets. She immediately pointed to 11pm on the ticket and told us all seats on earlier trips were fully booked. I asked her what could be done and she simply told me to apply for a refund. We tried to hire a car, book a taxi, and other tour companies, but everything was fully booked. We even waited to see if there were any seats on the 1.30pm departure as we had heard that they had put an extra bus on, yet again the reps just kept repeating " fully booked." Our visit to the top of the world was ruined. We loved our Norwegian Cruise. The fjords were amazing. The people were marvellous but the lack of response from this company with regards to a refund has left a very sour taste. I have written several emails without response.Written 30 June 2024
- GOTTA-GO-THERE-20 contributionsGreat excursion to North Cape and moreWe chose this tour instead of a superficial North Cape excursion by our cruise line. The tour was worth every krone. This is a woman-owned local business. Planning was very easy, there was a great guide and only six people on the tour. Other tours do not include a museum visit at the monument. Our visit time there was generous and we didn't get to see everything. The Sami experience was a little disappointing - made for tourists - but we did get up close and personal with a reindeer.Written 28 June 2024

- S8004HJjosephw0 contributionsEnjoyed…But, not due to the tour operatorSo to summarise first. The trip was worth doing, BUT for what was provided it was 50% too expensive. When you are at the North Cape you just have to take a tour and they know it and charge accordingly. The good parts first. The views are fantastic. Our driver was fine. The tour info/guide was pre-recorded. So will be consistent but was soulless. The Visitor Centre was very good with an excellent and evocative film for 15 mins. The Unknowns. What bus will you get. The four that I saw were very old and had many knocks and dents. Boarding the buses was chaos. Four buses with 40 to 50 people on each and only one staff member running around trying to organise and inform guests. The info for the tour says a minimum of 100 minutes at the North Cape Centre. We were 2 hours and 50 minutes, which was far too long. The stop at the Sami Home was a con. It was a couple of unused tents, one Sami man and two reindeer. Everyone was disinterested except the the reindeer who was given moss to tuck into and there was no attempt at interaction and lasted 10 mins. The fishing village stop was also 10 mins and scenic. So we enjoyed it, but because of the location and not due to North Cape Tours.Written 22 June 2024
- 288p_ls0 contributionsWe expected moreAt the beginning two men of our bus was late but we were waited for them. But at the Nordkapp instead the guaranteed minimum 1 hour twenty minutes we got only 1 hour freetime! The Sami family visit was very poor. We hadn't a guide and our driver was unfriendly and completely unfit to accompany the group. He simply stopped at the place assigned to him in advance, without saying anything. It always had to be pulled out of it when should we left.Written 22 June 2024
- kazganymede0 contributionsWorthwhile tour to North CapeWe had booked this tour for our visit to Honnisvag and were pleased to see the bus at the cruise terminal. We visited North Cape and spent a short time at a Sami village market, which would have been more interesting if they had given us a talk on their culture. North Cape has a monument, theatre, restaurant and souvenir shop. It was a good tour which fulfilled our expectations.Written 15 June 2024
- carolrG1634UU0 contributions5 Star ExperienceThis was an amazing North Cape trip. The bus was clean and comfortable and our driver, Bernadette, was the BEST! We got maximum time and the North Cape and the tour was conducted with efficiency, kindness and real joy. There are many options for this trip but North Cape Tours and Bernadette is the one you want to chose.Written 14 June 2024

- W2021XAlees0 contributionsBest trip to North CapeWe picked this tour because it has the most time at North Cape (about an hour). This gives you time for the views, the museum and a snack. North Cape Tours is very organized and handles everything for you. A few stops along the way at a fishing village and a Sami village (nice gift shop) and then off to the Cape. Huge cliffs, monuments and dioramas in museum. Probably the best gift shop on a Norway cruise. Waffles were around $4 and great. Also has a nice coffee shop with pastries. Many reindeer along the way and great views. The area is entirely above treeline,Written 16 September 2023
- cruiserdog20 contributionsExcellent visit to northernmost point of EuropeThe Northern most point in Europe, not to be missed. I was on Princess Sky cruise ship, and do not do tours through the ship, too expensive, too many people on a tour. I got off ship when available, and bus driver was waiting with 50 € sign to Nordkapp. About half price of non-shipboard tours, and even cheaper against ship tours! Do not miss.Written 3 September 2023
- elegy0 contributionsA must doBook locally at the Cruise port on arrival, several departures. Includes a visit to a Sami home and see ReindeerWritten 29 July 2023
- Oscardog160 contributionsA humorous and enjoyable tourBought a 3.5-hour tour to the North Cape from the Tourist Information Office at the port. The trip included a stop at a fishing village, a stop to see the Sami and a reindeer up close, a 75-minute stop at the Cape and then a short bus circuit around the city centre. The GPS digital guide spoke in English and German and gave a humorous entertaining commentary. The geolocation activation of the guide was in sync with physical location, unlike many of the hop on hop off bus tours. It was an expensive but enjoyable tour. Bernadette was our driver; she was a delight and a safe driver. We initially planned to take the public bus, but it only runs once per day, and it leaves the port at about 10.30 a.m. which was before our cruise ship docked.Written 6 July 2023

We went with Majolin in a car, just us two. Fantastic experience - had to be cut short as our cruise ship was late and it had to leave on time.

They are shameless. They charge each person a different price. When I complained because they were charging me more than someone else, they told me they charge whatever they want. They sold admission to the museums separately. Luckily I didn't buy it, because it's totally free. I thought we were going to get stranded. The bus was breaking down all the time.
