Dart River 'Funyak' Canoe and Jet Boat Tour from Queenstown
From US$246.58
Overview
Cruise the Dart River by jet boat and ‘funyak’ inflatable canoe on a full-day tour of Mount Aspiring National Park. You’ll start with an energetic, high-speed ride up the Dart River, then use the easy-to-maneuver funyaks to explore hidden streams, rock pools, and chasms. With more time to experience the Dart River’s nature and wildlife than a jet boat-only tour, this includes a buffet lunch in Mount Aspiring National Park.
What to Expect
Meet a driver at your Queenstown hotel for the trip to Glenorchy, then get suited up with a lifejacket, wetsuit, fleece, and drybag for the jet boat trip up the Dart River.

Hold on tight as you maneuver the river’s twists and turns, with a guide to point out the landmarks of Mount Aspiring National Park. One you’re deep inside the wilderness, trade the jet boat for an inflatable canoe that seats two or three people.

Paddling a funyak, you can get into places too narrow and shallow for jet boats, exploring the nooks and crannies that make the Dart River so beautiful. Pull to the edge of the water for a buffet lunch served in a grassy clearing, then keep paddling through scenic terrain, watching for native birds and animals at the edge of the water. This Dart River tour concludes with return transfer to your original departure point.

Kia ora, thanks for the 5 star review. It's really a wonderful experience. Very pleased to hear that you were warm enough despite the cold conditions in Glenorchy at this time of year. Nga mihi, Amelia

If you have a "light option" to cancel, do it and get your money back. Not worth it unless you have perfect weather.

I work in the travel industry and I'll make sure all of the tour operators I would with do not associate with this company. I've also been on many tours throughout our two weeks in New Zealand and this was my worst experience on the...More

I wouldn’t think so. I don’t know whether they have an age restriction, but I wouldn’t take a child of that age on an excursion of that nature.
