We thoroughly enjoyed our day out with Real Journeys. Every aspect of the day was so well done, from the early morning taxi pickup at our accommodation, to the quick check-in, comfortable coach, thoughtful stops along the way and transfer to our nature cruise. Our coach driver

Kia Ora and thank you for the 5 star review. We are delighted to hear how much you enjoyed your Milford Sound experience. Our coach drivers are amazing and your positive comments about Lukas are appreciated. Travelling by coach is definitely the most relaxing way to get there and allows you to take in all the breath-taking views en route. We hope you enjoyed the rest of your holiday. Regards - The Team at Real Journeys.

The Real Journeys 5 hour bus drive to Milford Sound was disappointing. We have seen Niagara Falls and the Yosemite waterfalls so taking this long drive to see a few seals and several 200 feet or less waterfalls was a letdown for us Californians. The bus driver and the boat

We are very happy to hear you found our cruise and captain informative and accommodating, but we are sorry you didn't enjoy your drive to Milford Sound, or the views once there. Most visitors describe the Milford Road as absolutely spectacular, while Milford Sound has famously been described as the '8th wonder of the world', so we agree your experience is particularly disappointing. The highest waterfall in Milford Sound is the Lady Bowen Falls at 162 metres (approx. 531ft). The second highest waterfall is Stirling Falls at 151 metres in height (495ft) – which is three times the height of Niagara Falls. Its height may be perceived as being much smaller due to the 1,300m (4265ft) mountain behind it. Depending on the season, visitors often spot penguins, dolphins and other wildlife in addition to seals in Milford Sound so it's a shame you didn't get an opportunity to see these as well. Thanks for your feedback - the team at Real Journeys.

The day was long, but Milford Sound was worth it, even in heavy rain. It was one of the highlights of my two weeks in New Zealand. The meeting point was easy to locate (real journeys even had a cab pick us up at our hotel and drop us off). The drive itself was very long,

The cruise itself was spectacular on the Milford Mariner. Getting there is a mega-hour journey each way because the range of mountains stands in teh way of a straight-line coach trip. Instead of a straight line, think a huge U - south, then west, then north, then Milford

Would be a far more pleasurable experience if they didn't overload the boat, seems unfair to not get a seat there
