Overview

Catch sunset at the Twelve Apostles on a Great Ocean Road tour from Melbourne along a gorgeous stretch of coast. You’ll pass picturesque towns, watch for koalas at Kennett River, and stroll beautiful beaches, pausing for lunch at a café. The departure is perfectly timed to catch “golden hour” light on the coastal cliffs and limestone pillars of the Twelve Apostles. With pickup and drop-off in Melbourne, this tour makes for a hassle-free day.

What to Expect

Meet a driver at your hotel, or at a central meeting point, then board a climate-controlled coach for the Great Ocean Road, among Australia’s most beautiful drives.

When you reach the coast-hugging road, keep your camera ready as you pass panoramic views of sandy beaches and rugged cliffs that plunge into the ocean. Pause to visit the Split Point Lighthouse that looks out across Aireys Inlet, and watch for koala bears in Kennett River, where you’ll also stop for an included lunch.

Enjoy views of the green Otway Ranges while approaching Loch Ard Gorge, then catch the day's grand finale at Twelve Apostles, whose rock formations turn rosy at sunset. When the light fades, climb back on the coach and relax during the 3-hour return trip to Melbourne, where this tour concludes with drop-off at the original departure point.

A fair experience

The tour guide had no loudspeaker to use inside the bus. So he was constantly shouting repeatedly to the tourists. Not a pleasant feeling. During the driving, there was no communication, so lots of dead air. The bus was a small bus that was just...More

Long and cold

The ocean was beautiful, but there were rain showers and strong cold wind gusts. The lunch was passable and the tea break was nice. The tour would have been better if there was more commentary along the way instead of just when arriving at the...More

As the tour is a whole-day tour, it can be a bit tiring; however, there's a lot of stops to walk, stretch, eat, and have a bit of fun. I believe a toddler would be completely fine :)
