Overview
Explore the McLaren Vale wine region on this guided bike tour. Ride through Kuitpo Forest on your way to at least two wineries for tastings. Plus, a lunch with produce from local farms is included. You don’t need to be an experienced cyclist to enjoy the tour; a mountain bike and helmet is provided.
Highlights
  • Visit at least two local wineries for tastings
  • Group is limited to nine for a more personal experience
  • Lunch with local produce is included
  • Hotel pickup and drop-off is provided
What to Expect
After being picked up at your Adelaide hotel in an air-conditioned vehicle, travel to the renowned South Australian wine region of McLaren Vale, which is about 30 minutes south of the city, to start your guided bike tour. Hop on your mountain bike and ride at a leisurely pace through the Kuitpo Forest and its Radiata pines and along the Kidman Trail, then stop at two wineries for tastings. (Any bottles purchased at the wineries can be stored in the tour vehicle.) Depending on the time and the group’s interests, there may be additional stops as well. Lunch with fresh produce and other items from local farms is included. The tour’s final stop is chosen as a group, and can be a visit to a local microbrewery. At the end of tour, return to Adelaide and get dropped off at your hotel.
