Catch the ferry across Moreton Bay to Stradbroke, where you'll embark on a specially curated tour of the top sights without worrying about timetables, directions, or navigation. Head over to Myora Springs and learn about its significance to the local Aboriginal people before heading out for a guided walk on the coastal North Gorge Trail. Keep your eye out for migrating humpback whales, turtles, manta rays, and dolphins when you reach Point Lookout, a great spot for photos. In the forest, look for koalas and kangaroos lounging in their natural environment. Next, visit Stradbroke Island Hotel for an included lunch. Then visit the towns of Amity and Dunwich, as well as Frenchman’s Beach and Cylinder Beach. Hi, We always appreciate guests taking the time to Review our tour products. We are so glad you enjoyed your day on Stradbroke Island. It really is a paradise for wildlife and looks like you struck it lucky. Of course guides have a little bit of an advance as they know where to find them. having said this the wildlife don't always co-operate. We appreciate you taking our tour and giving us a 5 star rating. Regards Jo-Anne

I went on the day tour to North Stradbroke with Queensland Day Tours. The guide, James, was one of the good things on the tour. He was fun and you could tell that he knows his stuff. He was good at spotting wildlife and pointing it out to us and we saw coalas, kangaroos, some

Hi, Thank you for taking the time to provide a Review on our tour to Stradbroke Island. We take all comments seriously and have discussed your tour with the guide. Given that you have rated us so poorly, it is obvious that you did not like much about the tour. However, you cover 2 main issues in your Review: 1. Bus Seating Yes - you were in a 14 seat standard mini-bus with 13 passenger seats, 4 seats across the back (2 x doubles). On your tour there were 5 guests travelling solo, 3 of which were seated in the single seats, with the remaining 2 put into a double seat. The tour was full so there were no spare seats. When the guide was made aware of your concerns regarding the seating arrangements, the passengers were shuffled around to make the tour more comfortable for yourself. Notwithstanding this, regardless of your position in the bus, all seats are the same standard size and majority of day tours departing Brisbane and Gold Coast use a similar sized mini-bus. Whilst we do have 21 seater buses, it's unreasonable to assume that the larger bus be used for a small tour group, particularly when it would be going on the vehicle ferry. We are sorry that the seating arrangements did not meet your comfort standards, however the guide did try to rectify this situation. 2. Not a Day Tour You state that the time on the Island was just under 5 hours. This is correct but you failed to mention that a big component of the tour was the cruise across Moreton Bay which is one of the highlights. All tours require transfers to get you to the destination and it is not a realistic expectation that you would ever be on the Island for a full day. The tour in fact was 8.5 hours long with a 40-minute transfer each way to the ferry terminal, and a 45-minute cruise across Moreton Bay. There were two other tour companies on day tours to the Island the day you travelled; both took the same ferries as us. It is not feasible to take a later ferry and the tour program promised was provided at a comfortable, relaxed pace. All tables had bottles of water with glasses. There was also a bar available should you have wished to purchase a drink. We are the only tour company that provides a sit down bistro lunch in a beautiful iconic setting. Another highlight of this tour. I am sorry we did not meet your expectations on this occasion. We will however pass on your positive comments regarding the guide, James. Regards Jo-Anne

Hi, Thank you for taking the time to review our North Stradbroke Island product and for giving it a 5 star rating. We are glad you had a good experience and we agree it would be nice to have a bit longer of the Island. Unfortunately the next ferry is 1.5 hours later which has the tour arriving back into Brisbane after 6pm which is just too late for most guests. Seeing the wildlife in their natural environment certainly is a highlight of any tour to Stradbroke. Regards Jo

With Shane (who was just fabulous) as our guide and driver, we ventured to Stradbroke Island. The drive from Brisbane city to the ferry terminal was about 45 minutes followed by a 45 minute ferry ride across the bay. The ferry ride is calm and scenic. Once on the island, we

Hi, Thank you for taking the time to write a comprehensive Review of our Tour to North Stradbroke Island. It sounds like you were there on a very hot day but lucky you can go for a swim in the Pacific Ocean and mostly there is a cooling coastal breeze. We are happy you enjoyed the lunch that was provided and isn't there a great view from the Stradbroke Island Beach Hotel. Shane will be very happy to be called "fabulous"" and we ensure that he sees the Review. Regards Jo
