Overview
Take a 3-day camping tour from Alice Springs including Uluru, Kata Tjuta and Kings Canyon. Experience the best of the Australian outback as you camp under the stars and visit some of Australia's best kept secrets; George Gill Range, the Garden of Eden and the Valley of the Winds. If that's not enough, immerse yourself in the culture as you taste Kangaroo and Camel and discover the local Indigenous way of life from local guides. This tour is suitable for passengers 18 to 49.
Highlights
  • Two nights of camping in the Outback with all details taken care of
  • Relax and enjoy with round-trip transportation from Alice Springs
  • In-depth commentary about the Outback's flora, fauna, and history
  • Camel ride to experience how early settlers traveled through the desert
What to Expect
Depart Alice Springs early on the first day and relax on the ride knowing that all of your Outback camping details have been taken care of for you. Chances are you haven't lugged a tent and sleeping bag on your Australian vacation, so this tour allows you to have a camping experience under the stars with all equipment provided. Stop at the Uluru-Kata Tjuta National Park Cultural Centre for a camel ride and then refuel with lunch before exploring the local aboriginal culture of the Red Centre. Take a walk around the famous Uluru monolith before catching the sunset with a glass of bubbly. Spend the night under the stars in a comfortable sleeping setup. Day Two begins with sunrise over Uluru, learning about its history and aboriginal sacred meaning through your guide's commentary. Hike through the Valley of the Winds to the domes of Kata Tjuta. In the afternoon, take a guided walk around the entire base of Uluru before making camp at Kings Creek Station and enjoying a barbecue dinner by the campfire. The trip's last day begins with a hearty breakfast to fuel up for a hike around Kings Canyon, followed by lunch and a relaxing journey back to Alice Springs.

Laura was the greatest possible guide(/chef/driver/dj/campfiresinger/mate) you could ever hope for! She breathed life into the relatively quiet group and kept spirits high. She handled any difficult guests with kindness and good humor. The tour itself is well planned, you get enough time to enjoy...More

A wonderful tour with Mulgas. Jake our tour guide was passionate, informative and so enthusiastic (even in the early morning). The transportation was suitable, the food delicious and the camping comfortable. Definitely recommend this company and this tour.

I did not do the 4 day tour but the 4th day is in the bush. No electricity or showers in the camp. No kitchen. Depends on how much adventure. Does not have much to do with fitness. Have fun!
