Blarney and Kinsale
Oct 2019
Our driver was great, very patient with a fellow tour member who was 20 minutes late back to the bus. He was a terrific tour guide filling in information not only about what we were seeing, but the history of the area both important and incidental. I would recommend this tour to anyone.

Great day
Sep 2019
Really great shore excursion to Blarney Castle & Kinsale. This was a really great value tour, full of humour and fun. We arrived way ahead of the ship tours first thing in the morning. The line up to kiss the Blarney stone was non existent. Kinsale was a cute little town. There was a farmer's market going on when we were there. We had a great lunch full of fresh food.

Kiss the Stone.

Paddywagon tours did a great job in getting us to Blarney castle early thus avoiding large crowds later in the morning. Excellent driver/commentator.

Kissed the Blarney Stone!
Sep 2019
The bus left right on time. We had plenty of time at Blarney Castle to wait our turn to kiss the stone and explore the grounds. Kinsale was very pretty. We had a sunny day, so the weather really made our day too. I think our driver's name is Mike. He went out of his way to drop some passengers off near the cathedral in the downtown area. That was nice of him.

Superb tour at a great price!
Sep 2019
Our tour guide Mike was excellent! His stories and music added to a great tour. Our first stop was a Blarney Castle. Despite being a bit off season, the line to get into the castle was 90 minutes long according to the sign. Unfortunately the line for the castle and to kiss the Blarney Stone was one of the same, so we didn't go into the castle. The rest of the grounds are beautiful and the poison garden was very interesting. There is plenty to explore other than the interior of the castle but those intent on kissing the Blarney Stone need to know the limited time on a tour stop could be a problem. We made a stop at Kinsale which is a very nice waterfront town with shops and eateries before returning to Cobh. Mike did a great job discussing the history of the town and balancing talking with music, giving visitors a flavor of the culture.

Timely arrival at Blarney but long day
Aug 2019
We were met at our cruise ship and beat all of the other buses away to Blarney. So we arrived early and were able to get to the Blarney Stone with just a 15-minute wait. Then the three hours at Blarney seemed long but we enjoyed the time walking on the grounds and the gardens.

Long drive to Kinsale with a quick stop at a fort, just time for a picture. The 2-1/2 hours in Kinsale was too long. The driver suggested dinner but we had excellent food on the ship waiting for us. Pretty town but not much to do in Kinsale.

We booked the small group shore excursion
Aug 2019
WOW, what an amazing time we had with Ger! My husband and I, along with another couple had booked the small group shore excursion out of Cork. We fully expected to be on a vehicle with 10 or 12 other people. However, it was just the four of us! What an amazing day! Ger got us to Blarney Castle before any of the big buses (thank goodness) and had tickets in our hands immediately. After the castle we requested a quick stop at the Woolen Mills and then on to Kinsale. We were able to stop for photo opportunities and then a nice lunch at a little place Ger recommended. From there it was a quick stop at the St. Coleman Cathedral in Cork and then to our ship. A great day seeing the sights! Great organization. Very professional!

Paddywagon tour to Blarney Castle
Jul 2019 • Couples
Our driver was great, he even got us there first!! We had no line/waiting etc, just the long climb up the twisty 110 stairs! Whew, but it was worth it! The gardens are lovely this time of year and Kinsale was a quaint little town where we had lunch at Kittie O Se's! Our driver was lively and informative and sang to us!! Great day out!

Great Tour for a Great Price
We booked this tour and enjoyed every minute of it. Upon disembarking from our ship, we walked a few feet to exit the cruise terminal and our driver was waiting us. We boarded a coach bus and off we went to the Blarney Castle. The organization and professionalism of our driver allowed us to arrive at the castle prior to the massive lines and crowds. His advice of going immediately to see the Blarney Stone before touring the gardens was perfect. The wait to kiss the Blarney Stone was minimal and allowed us to explore the gardens for the remainder of the time at the castle. When we exited the castle, the wait was over 90 minutes. There were many folks that were arriving via other tours and realizing they wouldn’t be able to wait in the line to see the Blarney Stone.

The town of Kinsale is beautiful and after a day of touring in the heat it was nice to have some free time to do as we pleased. There are many places to eat, drink or shop in Kinsale. For us, it was a bright warm sunny day so we relaxed with drinks at a local bar.

This was a wonderful tour for a great price. I’d highly recommend using Paddywagon Tours. I only wish I would have used them for tours in other Ireland cities.

Hey pinotr, Thank you very much for your in-depth review of your CORK SHORE EXCURSION. We're delighted with your 5 STAR rating. It's great to hear you had an enjoyable Paddywagon experience touring Blarney Castle and Kinsale. You were super lucky to avoid the long queues at Blarney, that's why we ask you guys to leave the liner ASAP! A venture through the Blarney gardens is a must with all that extra time! We hope you had the chance to sample a cheeky fish and chips in Kinsale! Delicious!! We hope to see you again in the future. PW Team
