My partner and I booked Gillian for a full day tour of the Dingle peninsula. We would give her 10 stars if we could as the day was truly the highlight of our Ireland trip. Gillian picked us up at our Airbnb and her warmth and passion for the history of the Dingle peninsula were immediately apparent. The day flew by fast and yet the pace never felt rushed. Gillian took us to not only the well known highlights but also introduced us to many hidden gems. From start to finish, we never run of conversation topics that ensured the day was lively and rich history of the Dingle Peninsula was brought to life. We would certainly book her again with Gillian as her guide. Thank you Gillian!

Hands down the best part of my Ireland vacation! Gillian is warm, welcoming, and extremely knowledgeable. The Conor Pass was an unexpected highlight of the day with its absolutely breathtaking views. I hope to have the opportunity to book a multi-day tour with Gillian on my next visit to Ireland.

Our guide, Jillian, was very knowledgeable and shared information on the history of the areas visited on the drive. The Slea Head Drive is full of spectacularly scenic views.

Just finished 5 brilliant days with Gillian. Gillian made sure we will use the day light to its fullest :), and see as many places and attractions as humanly possible, each day. She adjusted the trip according to my likes and requests. Each and every question was answered in full - so much knowledge of the history people and places we saw. We had great fun talking and laughing during the long days especially since Gillian mad sure I was comfortable. I had an amazing time and was hard to say goodbye.

What a find! After driving in from Cong, we thought it might be nice to take a break from driving and gain local knowledge on the Slea Head Drive. It was just what we were hoping for. Gillian is knowledgeable, with a great sense of humor. We were able to learn so much more about the Dingle Peninsula than had we just driven ourselves. Just finished an 11-day private tour with Gillian from Dingle Guide - Personal Chauffeur Guided Tours. She picked us up in Dublin in her Mercedes sedan and drove us all over…Kilkenny, Kinsale, Cashel, Skibbereen, Dingle, Killarney, Galway, Doolin, Connemara, Roundstone, Clonmacnoise, Athelone. There is so much that we saw…I could go on and on; it’s hard to think of what we didn’t see! She always asked, even at the last minute, if there was a place we wanted to stop. One time, we saw this roadside cafe and shop, Molly Gallivans (Releagh, County Kerry) and asked her to stop. It was an old homestead run by Molly Gallivan’s grand nephew. We ended up buying a bunch of souvenirs (a jumper (sweater), poucin (Irish moonshine), and a shillelagh. So cool and very authentic. Gillian is kind, knowledgeable about her country, knows the ins and outs of where to eat, shop, see, etc. She was our “boots on the ground.” It was nice that we didn’t have to do the driving, which made it enjoyable to see the countryside and the sites…and those super skinny roads didn’t bother her one bit! The entire 11 days was awesome (“brilliant,”as Gillian says) and I highly recommend that you let her take you around the country. She is a local from Dingle. Give her a call! You won’t regret it! 

Stayed at Dingle Bay Hotel. The Best! Free Parking, free great Breakfast and the best staff. Central located, easy walking to everything. Take a 3 to 4 hour tour with Micheal O'Coilea'in tour! He is Fabulous! 40 Euros and worth every penny. So glad I took the tour! Excellent!

Gillian went above and beyond to make sure our tour would go on in spite of a last minute emergency. We had a wonderful tour of Slea Head.

This was a great way to see the loop. The experience was so much richer than doing it ourselves. Gillian is a great hostess and made this feel very personal. We really appreciated her flexibility in allowing an excursion to Dingle Links.

Gillian was such a knowledgeable guide and warm person. She made sure to take us where we wanted to go instead of taking us to all of the standard stops. We were staying in Dingle and did the Ring of Kerry tour with her (in addition to a tour of Slea Head). It was a long-ish drive to the Ring of Kerry, but she filled the time with stories and the history of Ireland. She's very knowledgeable about Ireland's interesting, and sometimes heartbreaking history. And she told the stories in ways that really brought the people to life. I can't imagine navigating those roads and trying to figure out where to stop on the Ring of Kerry on our own. She made it so enjoyable. Gillian was a wonderful tour guide. If you're reading this Gillian, "hello from Cincinnati" from John and Debbie!!

We loved our full day tour with Gillian. She was fantastic, friendly, and knowledgeable. We learned a lot and had a great time - I feel like we made a new friend. Gillian is a great driver and her car was immaculate and comfortable. A private full-day tour was a splurge for us and I worried about the decision, but I feel it was money well spent and that the experience exceeded our expectations. I strongly recommend Gillian and will use her again when we are back in the area.

We had such a fun day out with Gillian! She was so knowledgeable about the area and brought us to all the best spots for photos. Wow. Would definitely recommend her tour. We got to see stuff we would’ve certainly of missed if we drove ourselves

Gillian (gillian@dingleguide.com) was referred to us by our inn keeper in the town of Dingle. My two friends and I were on an Ireland girls’ trip and, while in Dingle, wanted to see the Peninsula. Gillian picked us up at our hotel and drove us around Dingle and the Peninsula stopping frequently for us to get photos and to explain things about what we were seeing. She was friendly, informative, kind and allowed us to see and learn a boatload in a few hours. Highly recommend her if you wish to see Dingle’s beautiful sites.
