Jebel Akhdar " The Green Mountain" is famous for its labyrinth of wadis and terraced orchards, where pomegranates, apricots, and roses grow in abundance due to its mild Mediterranean climate and also the view from the top of Saiq Plateau or canyon view.
Nizwa Fort and Souk is the most important town in this area of the interior and is noted for its 17th-century fort and atmospheric souks full of silversmiths’ art, especially ornately engraved Khanjars and the history of Oman.
