Highlights
    What to Expect
Admire the Baroque architecture as you enter Schonbrunn Zoo, dating back to the days of Empress Maria Theresia and her husband Franz Stephan von Lothringen. Check out the breakfast pavilion in the center where you can still enjoy an "Imperial Breakfast," if you choose.

Wander around the area’s many attractions, including koalas, jaguars, orangutans, elephants and the beloved giant pandas. After spotting some of your favorite creatures, head to the Children’s Playground and Petting Zoo for some extra fun for the kids, and stop by the rainforest mirroring the unique ecosystems of Borneo.

Then enjoy a bird’s-eye view of the city with a trip on the Giant Ferris Wheel, an iconic symbol of Vienna’s Prater, the large public park in the 2nd district. The wheel is visible from all over the city with its distinct silhouette and offers incredible views of Vienna from the top. Hop on to enjoy this architectural gem from all angles.

The ticket is quite expensive 20 Euro for adult. For some animals the place is so small. Baby elephant and penguins were the most attractive thing over there. And yes Pandas too. Over all I had a lot of fun in the zoo. It was super nice. Worth visit place.

Filthy! Particularly the polar bear exhibit the algae growth in the water was out of control, there was trash in the habitat, the was a plastic shopping bag floating in the water. Just watching the local smoking and throwing the butts on the ground was very disappointing. we

I went there in July 2019 and this visit was just unforgettable. Despite my attitude to Zoos is skeptical, here I felt that it's might be even better to live in such a Zoo than in Wild Nature where there is a huge struggle for food and harsh survival. I di understand that it is

The ferris wheel is wonderful at night ... the city lights and view are terrific ... It may take a while to get on because there are lots of people and the dining car slows things down but it's worth it.

This is part of the Schonbrunn "complex" (Palace/Garden/Zoo). This zoo is pretty cool. It's not very big but it does have a lot of interesting animals. You can easily spend a few hours inside, specially with kids. You can ride the tram to the zoo or just enjoy the nice walk
