We booked this trip through Qualiday Travel at Paphos Harbour bus terminus for EUR20 per adult. We were told to be outside our Hotel for 07:45 and the coach arrived promptly. We did go round a few other hotels and the final pick up was as Paphos before going up the moutains. The first stop was the Amodoss Monastry were you were able to look around both the Monastry and the local shops, then onto the Kykkos Monastry were you stop for lunch and then onto another monastry which I cannot remember the name of it.

Its quite a long day, not getting back until about 4pm, but you travel for about an hour-ish and had a rest break right through the day say certainly broke up the monotiny of being on a coach all day.

Mary the tour rep is very knowledgeable and gives good commentary throughout each stop and gives little titbits of information throughout the trip about the surrounding areas. The mountain roads are twisty and if you do suffer from travel sickness it would be advisable to take some tablets. Adamos, our driver was brilliant taking his time going through these twisty roads and never felt nervous at all.

All in all a very good day out and a good price for what in the itinerary.

It was a great tour and at a very competitive price as compared to similar day tours from Paphos area. The tour guide was very informative and friendly. The monastery visits and travel through the Troodos mountains was nice. There were 4 stops - Omodos The Holy Cross Monastery, The famous Kykkos, Chrysoroyiatissa Monastery and a random restaurant near a small village middle of nowhere.
There is only one complaint and feedback I have - the lunch stop was a very poor one. A huge restaurant made of glass and steel - does not feel either traditional or welcoming. The food was poor and prices very high for the quality. We were asked for 13 euros for a green salad! The views and ambience were not nice at all. One is stuck with that restaurant as there are no other there. Instead please let the tourists have a lunch break in Omodos village. There are lot of choices for eating, it is a beautiful village and setting to have lunch and the food is not atrocious.

Thank you for your feedback. We always welcome reviews as a foot for thoughts and imporvements. However need to clear some points -13 Euros per person is for nice buffet lunch with variety of dishes not just a green salad! It seems that there is a misunderstanding - ref restaurant, in our view is a new, modern and is located on our way, just about lunch time. Omodos is a nice place very traditional but is too far to be a stop for lunch.

Was met by a small bus at our hotel at 7.45am and taken to join a bigger bus at Paphos bus station. We then proceeded on countless pick ups.
We were finally travelling at 8.50am.
The weather forecast was for lots of rain, it proved to be correct, the rain was relentless. Our first stop was in Omodos and there were rivers in the streets.
Omodos is a quaint and tidy mountain village and I would return to visit in sunnier climes. Onwards to Kykkos and the monastery, through driving rain, hail and snow, our driver deserved a medal.
The mountain views were spoiled by the most rain and snow.
Kykkos was IMO rather underwhelming, although externally it is impressive, internally I was unimpressed. Make your own mind up.
The buffet meal (12€ pp) was ok.
A salad bar, hot potatoes and hot mixed veg, hot lamb casserole and Luke warm lamb chops, desert was either an apple or some small deep fried doughnut balls, disappointing but we were ready for it. Oh and there was a carafe of red wine on the table. The seating was tight but we got through.
Our last stop was unpronounceable but I recall something about the saint of the golden pomegranate, you couldn't make this up, it was another small monastery where the monks make and sell cherry licquer.
Our guide was excellent throughout the day, very knowledgeable and she made a dull journey a little bit more interesting.
Overall, if the weather had been a little kinder, this trip could have been so much better, best I can say is that it passed the day.
I wouldn't do this trip again as I thought there was too much time on the coach but maybe the weather impacted on that.

Amazing trip - Sofia the tour guide was extremely knowledgeable about not just the places we visited but the history, culture, and wildlife of Cyprus. Some amazing monasteries, beautiful mountain scenery, and the lovely typical village of Omodos. Fitos the driver drove really well on the twisting mountain roads. Both Sofia and Fitos were extremely friendly and welcoming. Highly recommend it!

This tour was a highlight of our trip to Cyprus. We loved the spectacular mountain views and gorgeous monasteries and villages, all brought to life by our exceptional tour guide Sofia. The coach was very comfortable.
There are a lot of twists and turns on the mountain roads and we were glad we had taken travel sickness tablets before we set out.

I'm not sure how to summarise this trip other than it was simply breath taking. However, I word of warning, if you suffer with travel sickness probably one to avoid. The journey through the Troodos hill is up and down with turn upon turn. However each destination is simply amazing. The art work, the history, the treasures are fantastic. Kykkos is incredible. The mosaics are exquisite. The icons /relics are simply unbelievable. The stories behind each icon equally incredible. The only thing which spoilt the trip for me was the stop at aphrodites rock. I knew we were going to have swim there and had worn my trunks. I was then told I would have to change after the swim as I couldn't get back on the coach wet. Would have been nice to have known that. The tour guide was pretty amazing to. She spoke many languages and had a very good knowledge of the history of most things we saw.

Very easy to find by road from Paphos. We had lunch at a large restaurant overlooking the sea, The drive up was amazing. There was a large mountainous rock beside Aphrodite's Rock and we climbed to the top. Surprised that there were no health and safety warning because the climb is not for the faint hearted. Coming down was even more precarious. Surrounding beaches were very nice.
