Valletta Small-Group Walking Tour

With so much to see in such a compact area, a walking tour is by far the most convenient way to experience UNESCO-listed Valletta. But large groups can be crowded and impersonal. This Valletta walking tour is limited to 30 people, meaning personal attention as you check off the sights: perfect for first-time visitors or anyone with limited time.

What to Expect

Join your guide and small group in the heart of Valletta. After a brief overview of the city’s history since the Knights of St. John (Hospitallers) built it in 1565, stroll past star attractions from the Baroque era: the Auberge de Castille, St. John’s Co-Cathedral, and the Church of St. Paul’s Shipwreck. Hear tales of Maltese history as you view the Grandmaster’s Palace.

See sights from the new Parliament building and the ruins of the Royal Theater to Fort St. Elmo and the Siege Bell War Memorial. Wander the charming Barrakka Gardens with their sweeping views across Grand Harbor as you learn about modern Valletta. Finally, bid guide and group farewell in central Valletta.

Be warned - this is not a small group tour

Having booked the Valletta Small-Group Walking Tour (in preference to other tours that seemed open large groups), we received a confirmation email stating "large groups can be crowded and impersonal - this Valletta walking tour is limited to just 15 people, meaning personal attention." When...More

Free guided walk of Valletta

We did the 90 minute free guided walk on 1st September 2018. It was a very interesting and informative tour and Matthew was an excellent guide. Valletta is a lovely city with lots of history and I can thoroughly recommend this tour.

Not so small group tour

We booked in and arrived for the tour to find about 150 people waiting. They took a group photo that totally covered the stairs at the front gate. We hoped they might split the group but no. We could barely see or hear the guide...More

Thank you for your review and we sincerely apologise for this. To clarify, you are referring to the free walking tour of valletta and not the small-group valletta tour. The latter is a paid tour that takes place daily during weekdays at 10am. The free...More

Not that I am aware of. If there are enough of you you could see if they would do one especially for your group.
