Extremely fun day out
Sep 2021
This is a fantastic way to see the coast line of Malta and get a snap shot of Gozo. Spectacular boat trip at Dwejra (small extra cost payable locally) but worth every penny and swimming in the crystal clear sea a must. Water slide off the side of the boat an unexpected pleasure at my age!

Glad we chose this trip and company over the others on offer

Nice trip to Gozo and Comino
We wanted to go on a day tour to Gozo and Comino so we were walking along Sliema promenade and looking for offers. This guy from Luzzu cruises approached us and convinced us to buy a boat trip for the following day (even gave us a discount while we were very indecisive). Next day we got on the boat. Lucky for us we were a little early and got first in line and got to choose the best seats. Later on the boat was fully occupied. The boat ride was nice, they were telling about different locations while we were driving along Malta on the speakers. We stopped at Gozo and a little bus (which was way too small for all of us) drove us to Victoria where we had one hour to explore. That one hour is enough to explore the citadel but is not enough for anything else really. Later we drove to Inland Sea divesite where small boats (6 people in each) took us through the cliffs and caves. This was the spotlight of the whole trip for us! Amazing views and experience!
Later we went back to our cruise and went to Comino island where we had about 2 hours. As beautiful as Blue Lagoon is, it was soooo overcrowded. We got a little dizzy from the cruise ship so we wanted to sit and relax somewhere on the coast. There were some sun beds and umbrellas placed for additional price but all were occupied, other than that there were no place to sit and relax. The weather was scorching hot and the only place where we could find some shade was behind public toilets. So we took a swim in the sea and sat by the toilets until cruise boarded back to Malta. On our way back we were quite tired and got a little seasick (the waves by Gozo are the biggest). I noticed that other bigger cruise ships tend to swim smoother across the big waves, so maybe bare that in mind if you are prone to seasickness, because this ship was quite jumpy).
Other than that is was a great day and definitely worth our money and time!

Had a great time but really overcrowded
Sep 2021 • Couples
Friendly staff but we were told the cruise would be at 50% capacity due to covid however there weren't enough seats on the boat for me and my partner to sit down on the one hour return journey. At gozo we were put on to the "coach" which was a fleet of very small vans/mini-buses with every seat full. Didn't feel like the right thing to do during a pandemic, especially on a tour that was touting their half capacity as a selling point. The Citadel in Victoria was really great but quite rushed. Make sure you pay the extra 4€ to do the caves boat trip at Dwejra, Gozo- it was a highlight. Blue lagoon was horrendously busy and wouldn't really recommend it although when in the water it was lovely for a swim with sand below your feet.

We still had a great time but I wish I'd seen a review like this when we were choosing our tour and we would have picked an alternative.

Overall a reasonable trip The boat needs updating as compared to competitors
A reasonably friendly staff
The only downsize was trip in Gozo as it lacked any form of interest by guide
The mini bus was packed with guest and no or ineffective air conditioning
Overall the stop over in Comino was refreshing and cruise staff friendly and helpful giving a brief commentary along the trip

Dear dude b, Thanks for your review. Every review, good or bad, is important for us, in fact we ll have a word with the bus company in Gozo to try and make the bus ride more enjoyable. Regards the boat, we do yearly maintenance to our boats to keep them up to date/standard, You have also mentioned our competitors! which with their slightly more modern boats, will stop in every bay along the way to pick up more passengers without informing their clients. Whilst with our boat, we start from Sliema and cruise directly to Gozo and Comino islands. Glad that you have enjoyed your stop at Comino s Blue Lagoon. We hope that you ll enjoy the rest of your stay in Malta. Kind Regards Luzzu Cruises Team

Amazing trip! A little bit short (especially in Blue Lagoon), but pineapple cocktails there change the perception of time) :)

Amazing trip with amazing crew
Jul 2021
Took a trip with family on Sunday, even though it was windy we went for the trip.
John Paul, the Captain was excellent, he pre-warned us day before that it will be very rocky trip and he pointed this our during the trip itself several times (honestly, this made the trip so much more fun).

Excellent team work of all the team, everyone was really friendly and we had a blast!
10/10 for sure! Thank you!

Nice day out at an affordable price
Jun 2021
A nice tour from Ferries 4 in Valletta, stopping at Comino and Gozo. The boat is well-maintained and operating at half capacity during Covid times, although everyone seems to cluster on the top deck. The captain and crew are very friendly and will tell you anything you want to know along the way. Very limited refreshments are available on board, but are cheap (hot dog, crisps and an iced tea 5 Euros).

The stop in Gozo gives you j-u-s-t enough time to see the Citadel and walled town (via small bus/van), and then Dwejra bay to take a quick small boat ride (4 Euros) through a natural tunnel from the Inland Sea to the open Mediterranean, where the water is a gorgeous shade of deep blue. You’ll also have just enough time to see the Tower (if the flag is up, you can go in). The stop off Comino allows a quick swim or snorkeling. The boat has a slide if you want to try it. On the way back to Valletta there is a short detour to see some caves from the boat.

The allotted time on Gozo is very short; I would suggest expanding the tour for one hour to be able to see more, or possibly grab lunch in town.

Altogether an enjoyable day out for a really affordable 35 Euros.
