Begin your tour with pickup from your hotel or accommodation in the Reykjavik area. Meet your guide and small group and hop on your climate-controlled vehicle. Set out toward the Golden Circle, hearing about Icelandic history, geology, and culture from your guide en route. Head to Thingvellir National Park, where you learn about how it lies within a volcanically active area. It's also home to the Mid-Atlantic Ridge, where the North American and Eurasian tectonic plates meet. Straddle two continents while you walk between the plates. Hop back on the bus for the journey to the lake-filled, 3,000-year-old Kerid crater. Stop to marvel at its magical-looking lake and colorful slopes. Next, visit the surreal Geysir geothermal area on foot, stopping at bubbling ponds, steam vents, and Geysir and Strokkur geysers. The next destinations are Gullfoss waterfall and the iconic Blue Lagoon. Choose to head inside the lagoon spa (own expense) if you’ve pre-booked admission. Enjoy a soak in the steamy waters while admiring surrounding lava fields. After roughly two hours at the lagoon, relax during the journey back to Reykjavik, and finish with a drop-off at your hotel.

    Do it!!!!
My first tour ever and I'm confident my guide Martin C. made it the best anyone could expect. The weather also cooperated but he provides pertinent facts, anecdotal stories, has a great sense of humor, and accommodates his guests. He doesn't waste time, is a safe driver, gives good safety tips on the trip and will do extra whenever he can. The tour was fun, educational, and a wonder to see the unique landscape of Iceland. Everything was 100%. Thank you Martin for a wonderful 3-day adventure.

Great sights and wonderful tour guide (Brahim)
We loved this tour!! Our tour guide, Brahim, was amazing and super informative. The stops were interesting and he did a wonderful job of explaining everything we saw and the importance behind it. He also knew exactly the best tips to give us for the Blue Lagoon (i.e. go left for the masks, go right for the bar). The bus had free wifi, which was a nice surprise. And Brahim made sure to call everyone before the tour began, a nice courtesy. We recommend this tour to anyone who is looking for a great day to learn about Iceland and experience the culture, especially if Brahim is your tour guide. :)

Great taste of Iceland’s natural wonders
A full day getting a taste of Iceland’s natural wonders. Several stops required some hilly walking but can still be seen from a distance. Our guide Brjalki was a geologist who provided a very understandable commentary on what we were seeing. And after a full and tiring day, it all melted away in the warm mineral waters of the Blue Lagoon.

A perfect relaxing experience after a busy day outdoors touring Iceland! One of a kind experience!
Floating around drinking champagne (or another cocktail of your choice) in a huge warm naturally clean hot spring is a cool and unique experience! If you have long hair, soak it in conditioner beforehand (which is available in the shower areas) and keep it out of the water. The silica in the water (although not harmful) will leave your hair stiff and dry. There is a counter in the lagoon where you can apply a mineral facial mask while soaking. We stayed two hours at the end of a tour but easily could have floated around much longer!

    Amazing, whirlwind 11 hour tour
Tour guide was awesome — and we went to like 7 stops, including some really cute ones off the beaten path (tomato brewery / restaurant in a greenhouse anyone?) I was only in town for 36 hours and this was a perfect way to hit many excellent sites in 11 of them

    Glaciers and waterfalls
Kristina was enthusiastic and knowledgeable and far more fun loving than any tour guide should be. We had an awesome experience walking on the glacier for an hour. Take the extra time and pay the extra to walk on a glacier that won’t be there in a few decades. A

Golden Circle tour is a wonderful way to get to know Iceland 🇮🇸. The 10 hours helped us get over our California jetlag in comfort while immersing into the natural wonders in 22 hours of daylight days. Great way to jumpstart your adventure.

We, unfortunately, did not get to do this tour, due to high winds and rough seas that delayed our cruise ship's arrival into Reykjavik. We were so looking forward to this and, despite our disappointment, were very pleased with Nice Tours. Communication during the delay was excellent, and although we were unable to give 24 hour cancelation notice, they gave us a full refund. Hopefully we'll return to Iceland someday, where we will most definitely book with Nice Tours again.

Holgren was a wonderful guide. We hit all the major stops listed in the itinerary, but he also took us to a few bonus stops which were like getting the special local insight! At the end of the day we couldn’t believe we had been gone for 12 hours! One thing not mentioned in the write up…you can bring lunch on the bus or buy lunch at one of the stops. Eating at a restaurant does cut into your time at the geyser.

Dear guest, great to hear you enjoyed your day with us and nice to hear the time flew by as you were having fun exploring all the different sights. A quick note regarding food, out of respect for other guests, consumption of food aboard the bus is not permitted and the lunch stop at Geysir is always the same length.

Probably the most popular tour in Iceland. There’s a lot to see on this tour so I would recommend it. The Blue Lagoon is worth the extra cost. Maria, our tour guide, was very nice, funny and accommodating. We enjoyed this trip a lot.

If you only have one day to tour and 11 hours to do it, this is the trip for you. Three interesting steps, including a sufficient amount of time at the Blue Lagoon.

I was forced to sit in a partial front seat, inches from the noisy door and bag of trash, as the shuttle was fully filled (overfilled by one in my opinion). I lost access to a USB port that other seats had. I had to leave my backpack on the floor for folks to step on as they left the bus. Folks mistakenly placed trash in my fold seat as they left.

Per Viator, “the tour was fully provided” as their response to my complaint and as I asked for a partial refund. No other reason was given and they stopped responding to me.

Otherwise the tour spots, especially the crater and waterfall, were amazing. The tour guide was great.

Dear guest, please note that we never force anyone to sit anywhere and we never have more than 19 guests on our tours as they all have 19 guest seats. The extra seat in the front is kept empty in case someone is a bit car sick etc. Your comments about poor customer service should be directed to Viator, not us here at NICETRAVEL but we fully understand your frustrations if Viator did not respond in an acceptable manner to you. Great to hear you still enjoyed the beauty of the sight visited and we thank you for your positive comment about our NICE guide.
