Southern Iceland Glaciers, Waterfalls and Beaches Day Tour
Most visitors to Iceland concentrate on the Golden Circle, often missing out on the impressive south coast. This full-day tour from Reykjavik is a fuss-free way around the south coast’s attractions, and a convenient alternative to exploring independently. You visit must-sees such as Reynisfja beach and the Skogafoss and Seljalandsfoss waterfalls. Plus, enjoy background on the sights from a guide, and air-conditioned hotel and port transfers in Reykjavik.
What to Expect
After hotel or cruise port pickup in Reykjavik, settle aboard an air-conditioned bus and travel to Iceland’s south coast, famous for its natural beauty.

Head for the small village of Vik, known for its stellar sea views, and walk on the black sands of Reynisfjara beach, admiring its basalt-column cliffs.

Next, continue to the Seljalandsfoss waterfall. Take in the beauty of the fall and walk behind the cascade to Skogafoss, whose waters plunge down a 197-foot (60-meter) drop. Make the most of the many photo ops as the falls and scenery promise some stunning shots.

Finally, take a short walk to the glacier edge of Solheimajokull, a sublet glacier of Myrdalsjokull. The glaciers are constantly moving, and make some of Iceland’s most incredible sights.

Marvel at the sizes of the glaciers before your tour ends with a drop-off at your hotel or another, central location in Reykjavik.

Toured the South and the Southwest of Iceland on our own.

This part of Iceland shares with you the geological wonders that exist here. There are eye-popping, breath stopping, reaching for the camera moments constantly, especially with the numerous waterfalls close to the roads. Icelandic ponies, originally from Scandinavia, cluster near the folks who get out...More

Good day out, the guide made it.

Had a good day out with some good sights, made better by virtue of our tour guide Simon, who brought the personal touch to the whole experience, a long drive for the day, driver was a bit aggressive on overtaking

Fantastic tour!

We finished our visit to Iceland with this tour and saved the best for last. Our guide with Reykjavik excursions was friendly and very informative about Iceland, the scenery and history. We saw fabulous waterfalls, unexpected stops like a sod covered church, playing with pieces...More

Great tour!

My husband and I had a great time on this tour! The locations were beautiful and the tour guide was very friendly and knowledgeable. I felt we could have used longer at a few locations, but still a really great tour!
