When we arrived at Rovaniemi airport the shuttle of our hotel, Santa Claus holiday cottages, was waiting for us outside. After a quick drive, 10 minutes, they delivered us at our cottage. The driver gave us the key and some information. A very good and very quick private shuttle !

THIS IS A SCAM. We were due to go on a trip to Lieska, but due to flight schedule changes, we were told we would be flying in to Kuopio, a city of which we knew nothing, arriving at around midnight to stay in a local hotel before collection. We rang this taxi company, as advertised on TripAdvisor and we were told the normal charge was over £100 for a transfer. We then booked through Viator at £68. We received regular texts from the company, even as the plane was taxiing at Kuopio Airport to assure us that our driver was waiting for us. In Arrivals there was nobody. We rang the number as required by T&Cs (any issues must be reported to the given number otherwise company will not be held responsible)- it diverted me to the USA where I spoke to an operator. He first denied there was any booking. He then admitted there was a booking and asked for a 'couple of minutes' to speak to the driver and see how long he would be. 4 minutes later he cam back on and said that under my reference was marked 'no service to be provided'. He said he couldn't help us and rang off. An 8 minute call which cost £10. The Airport staff rallied to our aid and got us a taxi which cost 21 Euros for our required hotel transfer. I sent a message to this taxi company- no reply. I wrote again a week later- no reply. I wrote to Viator, they refunded the monies taken but not the extended call charge. I wrote again to the taxi company for refund of the charges for the unnecessarily extended call. No reply. Viator gave us a £25 discount code. The transfer advertised is a scam. Do not rely on it. They make their money on the premium rate call you must make on failure of service. We have reported it to Viator.
