- hugomW1615VM00Ice fishingGreat ice fishing experience ! David is really nice and has a lot to say about Finnish culture and Finland in general. I recommend !
- L8719BVchristinah00Nice trip, wonderful landsscapeWe liked the guide, he was friendly and allways helped, when we needed him. The landscape was beautiful.
- Genkuru00Great 8 km Hike with Delicious Treats.First of all, I'd like to thank David, my tour guide, for being so courteous and returning to my hotel second time to pick me up after I overslept. This kindness set a positive tone for the entire day. The hiking was great. We walked around 8 km through stunning Finnish taiga landscape, swamps alternating with forest, with multiple stops when David educated us about local berries, plants, some Finnish history and traditions. So if you love nature, this is for you. Also, worth mentioning that it was a good opportunity to meet new people since all 3 persons on this tour, including me, were from different countries. Last but not least, we were treated with some delicious herb/berry tea and absolutely amazing mushroom soup - all home made by David's wife. Thank you!
- 592tristank00Perfect hiking experienceI never write reviews but was compelled by the perfect hiking experience David provided. Pick up was prompt, driving to the park was careful, and the familiarity with the park and local flora David provided made the whole excursion effortless and comfortable. I felt like I had an intimate tour of a truly special place by an local. After the tour David gave lots of great advice for other things to do in Helsinki, which I took and which led to the best tourism day I've had here yet. I simply can't recommend him highly enough. One small piece of advice, I recommend booking through Viator if possible; I originally booked through my Chase travel points but this made communication with David very difficult, despite (as I found out later) his numerous attempts; I had to reach out first as they wouldn't give him my number, after he had it communication was perfect.

We highly recommend this excursion with David. He did everything he could to maintain the tour despite the weather; we ended up going to the park in the afternoon and did snowshoes as there was lots of snow. We did parts of a trail and other parts off track, including on a frozen lake. He was really nice and funny and made sure we were happy with everything. He made drinks, had snacks and cooked an amazing homemade mushroom soup we had with a view of the park. A really great time we will not forget!

Very nice hike through Nuuksio National Park with David. During the hike, David showed us a lot of things -- lakes, ponds, giant ant hills and many different kinds of berries, including the Wonderful Arctic Cloud Berry.
For lunch, we stopped in a little wooded glen and ate his great mushroom soup and if I remember correctly, blackberry juice, which was perfect!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
David is very courteous and knowledgeable about Nuuksio.
This is a fun and easy hike through the woods. My wife and I highly recommend this.

This was a wonderful hike trough the forests with David! He led us to frozen lakes, served us self-made mushroom soup on top of the hill and brought us back safely to Helsinki. It was a pleasure to have him as a guide.

A tranquil and engaging walk through the quiet forest surrounded by beautiful lakes; all done at a slow moderate pace. David the host, guide and also a fantastic soup cook made it all the more enjoyable given his very friendly disposition and vast knowledge of the area. We learnt a lot about the trees and the berries as well as the landscape and Finnish people from David. Highly recommended!!!

The tour guide was very kindly to adjust travelling hours due to bad weather forecast. Luckily, we had the trip with a perfect weather. The tour guide ( sorry about not remembered his name) introduced a lot of wild food resources to us. I couldn’t believe I event picked up and tried cloudberry near a swamp. I loved the trip a lot. Highly recommended!

An amazing tour and one not to miss when you visit Helsinki! David picked us up from our hotel and was a very friendly and knowledgeable tour guide. He provided us with snowshoes as well as a tasty mushroom soup and glögi while we were on the hike. We went on the tour in Feb and although you will need to wrap up warm I would highly recommend as walking through the beautiful forest and over frozen lakes in deep snow was magical.

David was very knowledgeable about the national park - we were able to taste wild berries and he explained the surroundings to us. It was snowy but David ensured we had appropriate footwear before setting off. Great soup and snacks were provided and David kindly picked us up and dropped us after the tour was finished. The National park itself was beautiful and even more magical in the snow. Definitely recommend the experience!

We really enjoyed spending half a day on the trails of Nuuksio National Park, picking berries, looking for mushrooms, drinking glögi from traditional kuksa and eating Finnish sweets and homemade mushroom soup. The scenery was very beautiful and our guide, David, very friendly and knowledgable. We highly recommed this tour!
