- edwardsnv205500Great toursGreat bud your and an even better boat tour. The boat is more like a ferry boat with a too dark, bar, and restaurant as well as rest rooms. It would be helpful if your website listed more information on the bus route stops. We misse stop 1 and waited for 20 minutes at stop 2 but could have walked to the next stop if we knew where it was
- Renee W00Time well spentThis is a nice way to see the highlights of Helsinki. Great open market near the boat dock as well. If you have the time, I recommend it.
- Gina H00Great way to see a lot with limited time!Great way to see a lot in a short time. You can taylor it to spend more time where you want to and their staff is very friendly.
- Dorrith Z00Friendly and follows timetableStaff of City Tour Red buses in Helsinki is very friendly and what is most important they follow their timetable. So it's really very easy to hop off and you don't have to wait very long till another bus is coming.
- MarcosFrade00Good for an overview of HelsinkThis is the best way to go sightseeing when you have little time in town as it helps to have an overview of the city and to hop off by the top attractions.
- Mikael F00Bus stop near the Sea Life & Borgbacken amusement parkOnce again a nice bus tour (October 19th) around Helsinki with stop near the Sea Life & Borgbacken amusement park. A friendly bus host at the (start) stop on Senate square.
- John N Robin W00Bus and Boat both goodWe were particularly pleased that we had included the boat option. Even though the weather was not to our liking we made the most of our Viator tour and enjoyed the experience of seeing the sights of Helsinki from the bus and boat.
- RCS3rd00Good way to see the city.Good way to see the city before deciding what to explore in detail. Also good for a cold or rainy day activity. You can start the tour on any stops on the way. Tickets can be bought on the bus. We were offered a discount on this particular day early October.
- Álvaro C00Only till 16 hWe came from Tallin, but with Star company (not Viking or Silja line), and arrived at Hernesaari Cruise terminal.which is far away from closer hop-on hop-off bus stop. The whole journey takes an hour and a half, and last bus departs from senator square at 16:00, which is really soon and not adviced in advertisment. Not a good option, in my experience. And really expensive: 30€ pp.
- theoax00Just averageFirst of all, note that there are two separate companies operating hop-on-hop-off buses in Helsinki. They are City Sightseeing and City Tours. City Sightseeing is the one we took, which is connected to the Helsinki Card. It has 18 stops; the other has 22. They pretty much cover the same areas. The problem with the bus we took (which was covered by the Helsinki Card was that the driver offered very little information in addition to what was in the recorded audio.
- johnsI4481KV00Back side of Helsinki the bestWe got on the bus at Senate Square. We wandered around until we got to the back side of the bus route. Then we got off the bus and we saw what we thought was Helsinki was all about. We then walked back to Senate Square from there that was very interesting
- WeBvacations00Great way to see the city on your own termsHelsinki is a lovely city with lots to offer. We made a stop on our cruise and were limited in time so we decided to do the hop on hop off so we could pick and choose our points of interest. It was a great decision. We made full use of the headsets and enjoyed the narration through the city. The maps were easy to use and pick up points were well marked. Would definitely do this again. Suggest researching the city before you leave so you know what you most want to see.
- 457allaK00AwfulMinimum information about architecture of the city, prominent people like Sibelious or Mannergaim. Instead ~ 20% of the trip is dedicated to pretty odd comments about Russian spies, defectors acting there during the cold war - at least that's how it's presented. Not worth 30 euro at all.
- Helen F00A waste of 60 EurosWe have been on many of these hop on hop off bus tours and sadly this was one of the worst. There really was very little of interest to see and as far as we were concerned it acted more like a transfer service for cruise ships, l am sorry to say. That is just our personal opinion. We felt the need to jump ship, no pun intended and just decided to do our own thing and wander around by ourselves. The tour was padded out by mentions of a designer who clothed someone from some American drama and a poor version of Harrods with a clock that was a common meeting place for people!
- Snerzok00Just a bus rideI was not very impressed with this tour. I purchased a hop on hop off ticket with a harbour tour included. We boarded the buss, which was clean and as comfortable as any other tour bus of the same sort I've been on in other countries, and went three stops to the harbour, we were given the usual plug in ear pieces and I used them for the first three stops, while the commentary was a little bitty and scratchy at least there was some information imparted over the journey. We alighted at the harbour and made our way to the boat to join that tour, that story is for another review, When we got back we had time to look around the market and grab a bite before the last bus would arrive at about 16:10. The bus arrived on time and we boarded looking forward to doing the rest of the tour. Well from then on it was just a bus ride, there was no commentary and the bus just seemed to hurtle around the route the bus driver wasn't the least interested he just wanted to get back to base and finish. Really we would have been better off to just purchase a public transport day pass. Very disappointing,

First of all, the driver was amazing, funny and friendly!
But... he was talking at the same time as the recording but not in the recording channel. The recording kept resetting and not in sync with what we were seeing. It was a very short trip and really not worth the money. You'd better just take a day ticket and take the tram yourself.
This is nobody's fault but the bus was full of screaming children while their parents sat separately and didn't care. Such horrible behavior. I couldn't wait to get off the bus. This was simply a horrible experience for me.
But the driver was amazing!

I always recommend this to everyone who doesn't have a lot of time in the city. It is a great way to know the place in a short period of time. I enjoyed the history of Helsinki, seeing the beautiful pieces of architecture, parks, markets, etc. Nice experience!

Included in Helsinki card so it is free I WOULD NEVER BUY IT The reason just shows houses that are no descript. In Helsinki all the major sites are at most a 15 to 20 minute walk .if needed and you are tired take the tram. The bus passes near some sites but you still to walk anyeay so why bitter with this expense

Always a must do. We do this every country we visit to get the lay of the land, the history and the opportunity to decide what we want to see first or if time restricted. This company never lets us down. Would highly recommend it

My wife and I decided to do the Hop On Hop Off Red line tour because we only had about 6 to 7 hours to experience Helsinki. We picked it up at the Cruise Dock Area and some of the stops we got off were at the Rock Church, City Central near the Art Deco Railway Station, and the Senate Square. You have many choices and can see a lot of the city this way. We also had done these type of HO-HO buses in Barcelona and in Talinn, Estonia. We would recommend this mode of transportation in a heartbeat as since we are in our 60's it keeps our amount of walking to a manageable amount.

This tour is a great way to see the city and there seemed to be regular buses too. The stops are clearly signed so it shouldn't cause any confusion and the tour can be ideal for a sunny or rainy day.

I loved the hop on hop off bus tour because I always learn more about the entire area.
The driver was excellent in maneuvering some of the narrow roads with parked cars along the way.
It was fun to learn so much history about Helsinki.

The Helsinki Hop-On Hop-Off City Tour is a perfect way to see the highlights of this beautiful city in a short period of time. The accompanying audio was easy to listen to and gave a brief description of each site. There were a few times when I wasn't sure where the site was that was being described. All in all, it was a great experience and would definitely recommend it to other travelers.

This was called hop on hop off without the on off part
As it was November and the winter season they don’t do on off and it only goes round twice a day
There is recorded information to listen to but the driver was talking over this giving his version so very hard to listen to either

The bus was late picking us up at the cruise terminal, but got underway quickly once we were on board. Very timely the rest of the day. City was on holiday but still got to see plenty of sights.

Hi, is this tour suitable for someone on transit? We arrive in Helsinki airport at 6.15am and our next flight is at 2pm.
It says that the tour is 1.5 hours - does that mean we can only take the bus until 1.5 hours after we start our tour or can use the bus service all day? What time does the bus run until?
