    Hard to hear guide
Nice boat. Water was low so we didn’t get to go on the tour we purchased. Audio was over a loud speaker and in several different languages. Very hard to hear with everyone talking. Would have been more enjoyable with headphones so you could choose your own language. I would not go on this tour again.

    Memorable cruise
The tour was interesting with commentary of history and Finnish life styles. The landscapes and scenery of the islands was beautiful. However it was September & the weather was a bit cold & windy but with the right clothing, it is ok. I enjoyed it very much.

A beautiful, restful and informative trip.
We were extremely lucky with the weather. A sunny day made it very special. Comfortable boat. Informative commentary, but you need to be near the front to hear it on the open deck.

    Difficult to hear the guide
I was attending this trip with my family to expolre the nice archipelagio of Helsinki. Unfortunately it was very difficult to hear the guiding because the sound was very low. I would have loved to have a live tour guide on a trip like this!

    Wonderful experience
We took this trip on our first morning in Helsinki. It was an informative and leisurely way to get to know more about Helsinki before we started exploring on foot. Would recommend this as something to do near the start of your visit.

    Interesting evening cruise
We booked an evening tour (2 hours) on our first trip to Helsinki. The boat was comfortable and the wine in the cafeteria was not bad. We got a nice overview of Helsinki. I also remember to see the ice breaker ships. Impressive.

    Good value for money
This tour was really good value for money. A lovely cruise around Helsinki's islands. The only thing that could be improved is the commentary provided over the loudspeakers. There were a lot of silences when the recording could have been mentioning things like how many people live on the islands, or what the bridge is that is being built, or what happens to the boats when the sea freezes, etc - just interesting little bits of information. Even in three languages, there would be time to add more commentary. But we did enjoy the trip and I would recommend it, especially given the price.

    Cool & priced right
Really cool sightseeing of passing by the islands. Informative recording on loud speakers. They provide blankets for when it gets cold and you want to be on the outside roof of the boat. They also have a small cafe onboard. Maybe we would’ve liked the one that stops and gets off at the zoo more. And also a live tour guide instead. Oh well, still pretty fun wrap around

    Helpful customer service
We were not able to attend the tour and had to cancel after the 24-hour refund mark. The staff were very polite and helpful offering other dates but we were not able to reschedule.

Good value and worth an hour and a half of your time.
Easy booking and location. The boat was comfortable with nice big tables to sit at and a bar serving snacks and drinks. Friendly stuff and good commentary. The only criticism would be the commentary could have been louder as difficult to hear at times.

    Do not miss this tour!
A must-do in Helsinki! This tour boat does a very interesting tour around the bay, weaving around dozens of the 300 islands. Informative and unobtrusive commentary in English, just right, never too much. Very friendly staff.

    A different view of Helsinki...
It was a good way to get a different view of Helsinki. The "canal" description is n interesting one.....the boat is traveling between islands just off-shore the city. The boat was comfortable, with commentary over a loud speaker.

I bought a helsinki card for June 25 for 48 hours but I didn’t use it and asked for refund and they accepted my request and gave my money back. The reason for not using the card was that I thought I can activate it anytime and it is valid for 48 hours after activation. But it seems that on June 27 it was expired even without using it.

Thank you for the feedback! The Helsinki Card actually works just the way you described, visiting your first attraction activates the card and once activated, the card will be valid for 24, 48 or 72 hours as indicated on your card. It seems that your card might have been damaged. We are very sorry that you weren't able to use the Helsinki Card and hope you still enjoyed your visit to Helsinki. Kind regards, Katri Stromma Finland

We bought a 48 hour pass for around euro 64 early in our visit to Helsinki, thinking that getting around by public transport would be quite expensive.
We found tho that most of the main tourist sites are within walking distance ( we do enjoy walking around cities!) and the card didn't work for a visit to Porvoo which is also outside the region covered by the card

Entry fees to many museums are fairly reasonable, although getting to enough over two days in late winter/early spring was a feat well beyond us.
We probably recovered around 70% of the cards value and had we been extensive users if the teams and busses in particular it may have been more cost effective.
Benefits of the card is that it doesn't activate until the first use so you can time it's time horizon to coincide with your anticipated greatest usage

I had a 3 day stopover, so opted for the 72 hour card and it was great value for money! I bought it online and got a 10 % discount, which was even better value! Card is activated from first use, which worked out better for me, because I had a late night departure, so transport use was still valid! Worked out 20 euro per day and the Hop on/off bus value is 24 euro per day, alone. I saw a majority of the attractions that were no cost with the card and they were all easy to get to, with the Hop on bus, which usually arrived at stops within 20 min periods. LIke I said, great value for the money, so, I highly recommend it!

We purchased the 3 day card for 68 euros each. We used the hop on hop off bus service and the canal tour. We visited several museums. I initially thought that only around 12 ish museums included for free was a small amount. However, it proved good value, we added up what we would have spent without the card and it was far more. It was value for money and included all the major museums and travel within Helsinki. The Suomenlinna ferry was included and all the museums on the island. For example the submarine on the island to visit was 7 euros each, it took precisely 5 minutes to visit. It was included in the card and I would have felt robbed to pay 7 euros each for this. I would highly recommend the card.

We were recently in Helsinki for one day on a Baltic Cruise. Even being there on a Monday when many museums were closed, we were able to save money using the card. We used the Hop-on-Hop-off bus, boat tour, Church of the Rock, public transport and Suomenlinna. We also enjoyed several hours in the market. The card made it all easy and saved us money.

We bought a 72 hour card and was worth it. It includes the HOP-ON-HOP-OFF bus, Panorama bus Tour though the Hop-on-Hop-off bus stopped running daily after end September but was able to get a day's ride on a Sunday 7th oct. The canal route cruise is also not operating after September. Even then it includes public transportation which the tram service would take you to most attractions.

It also includes the ferry trip to Soumenlinna Fortress and entrance fees to most museums. Do not miss Rock Church, Amos Rex, the Panorama Bus Tour and Soumenlinna Fortress built by Swedish if you like history.

Collection is easy at the tourist center at Helsinki Airport which is the most important as most tourist would arrive by Flight or Train. Whereas Stockholm pass is the worst not at airport neither train station but away in a distance location to collect. My Opinion is there is no need for a region card. The train ticket from Airport to Helsinki central train station is only 5 euro in october for ONE way which is reasonable instead of getting a region card to cover the airport zone.

Very handy, lots of free or discounted admissions.. I booked mine 3 weeks in advance but maybe don’t do that as the weather was windy and rainy and therefore some things I wanted to do like the fortress I opted not to do due to unfavourable weather - I feel I could’ve got more value for money with a shorter period than what i used mine for but each to their own schedule.

I bought a 3 day card on line with a 10% discount and did not start using it until the day after I arrived to maximise the value. Public Bus from airport was only 4.60 euro.
I used buses, trams, metro, ferry as well as visiting Suominlinna, Kiasma, Ateneum, Rock church, hop on hop off bus circuit, 1/2 day tour to Arabia factory, Villa Hakasalmi, National Museum of Finland, canal route cruise. It would have cost 3 times as much as the card cost and I enjoyed it all. Fabulous value and so easy.

I bought the 72 hours region pass so I could use the pass to catch public transport from the airport to the city. I was a little apprehensive about purchasing online and picking up from the airport, but found it easy and nothing to worry about. Definitely good value - used the public transport extensively, visited Suomenlinna Fortress and the National Museum, rode on the canal cruise and hop on/off bus, and joined the Urban Helsinki tour.
