We went for two days with Arctic GM as chasing aurora was our main aim for coming to Finland. On the first day we went with Cosmin from their team, and he was so nice with explaining us about aurora, solar activity and of course - taking amazing photos at the best location that he chose. On the next day, we were informed that there is only a 10-20% chance but we still didn’t want to miss it so we went ahead with Tokur from their team. He was so so patient with finding us a good spot even though the clouds were rolling in.. and drove us to the south east for 2 hours in search of the Aurora. It might have been tiring for him but he didn’t give up. We finally saw the northern lights and got good pics again. Both the days were spectacular experiences for us in every way and we recommend Arctic GM definitely for aurora hunts if you’re in Lapland. Their guides have great techincal knowledge, amazing at taking professional pictures and are also wonderful people! Thank you Arctic GM for making our aurora experience so so special.

Many companies offer husky tours similar to this, but we went with Arctic GM due to the fact that they offer a longer mushing experience than most others. The owner of the husky farm took us on a tour introducing us to a great number of his huskies, and we even got to see the 2-week-old puppies. As dog/animal lovers, it was a pleasure learning more about them and their different personalities! Our guide was Tokur, and we thoroughly enjoyed the time spent together. We were advised to layer up with gloves, as the wind would be cold due to the speed of the dogs (an overlook on our part), and he very kindly lent us his own jacket and gloves. He was extremely hospitable, and we had a good chat over some snacks when the activity was over.

We’re still at a loss for words regarding how magical this experience was. Our guide/photographer was Romain, and he was the most fantastic person for the role. Extremely knowledgeable in his field (of both the lights and photography), he was constantly sharing with us everything to do with the northern lights, and what conditions are required to view them. There was a lot of astronomy jargon but he explained in a way easy for the layman to understand. Since it was a private tour, we got his full attention when it came to photos. As northern lights are unpredictable and can disappear in a flash, this was very important - we only wanted to chase the lights and specifically did not want a tour where we’ll spend a portion of the time barbecuing food (even so, he did offer us his own chocolate). We are very pleased with every aspect of his guidance, and you could tell he would go the extra mile for you (would stay out later if we wanted, constantly checking livestreams/apps/websites for any information to increase our chances of being at the right place, drove us all the way back to the front of our cabin at 1:30am, etc.). We had luck on our side and managed to see the lights (even more than the uploaded photo) but the experience would’ve been wonderful nonetheless. In fact, we were planning another tour for the next night in the off chance that we wouldn’t see any, or if the lights weren’t great. We swiftly changed our minds after as it seemed unlikely that we would get a better experience. We are definitely ecstatic to be able to cross this off our bucket list, and Romain really took the whole event to an unexpected level.

We loved our hikes and the aurora boreale. The hikes were beautiful, immersed in uncontaminated nature. Our guide Romain was very knowledgeable and explained the history to each place, the flora and fauna.

It was a very pleasant excursion to Korouoma falls, in a very beautiful environment. Our guide, Romain, was very punctual, attentive and friendly. He gave us many explanations about the place and other interesting facts about Lapland. Many thanks!

Well organised tour, good communication with the tour company. Guide Tokur was great, patient with a slow walker, gave us plenty of time for photos. Snack along the way was very welcome. Encouraged another very hesitant couple to tag along with us on the walk. BBQ experience very enjoyable. August isn't the best time to visit as all vegetation is just green and the waterfalls aren't flowing. Autumn or winter would be much more interesting.

Last year our family went on an unforgettable journey on a reindeer tour. It was a real fairy tale, full of magic and amazing discoveries. We found ourselves among picturesque landscapes. The fresh scent of pine needles was in the air and the sound of nature was ringing. Returning home, we took with us not only vivid memories, but also a desire to return again to experience this magic of nature.

The Rovaniemi Husky Safari Tour with Arctic GM was fantastic! The 6-10 km self-driving mushing was exciting and well-organized. The huskies were lively and well taken care of, and the guides were helpful and friendly. Thanks, Arctic GM, for an unforgettable adventure in Rovaniemi's snowy wonderland! Highly recommend!

It was very well organised from beginning to the end. Alex contacted just after we made the booking and smooth communication every time. During the tour Mou took us to the best spot. He was very kind and helpful. He explained every detail about northern lights and took lots of photos. Thanks a lot to this team.

We really enjoyed our reindeer tour! We came in April, so it was warm and sunny. We were surprised that the riding in the sledge took quite much time, maybe 45 minutes, and we saw amazing forest views on the way, so it didn’t feel like a quick tourist attraction. After the ride we were offered nice local sweets with warm tea and we enjoyed it while the guide was telling us about reindeers and their farm lifestyle, which was very interesting and we could ask as many questions as we wanted. Then we fed and petted the local star - special reindeer Manu who likes to be touched. In the end guide made a little excursion around the farm and showed us all of their reindeers. The farm has a long history and follows the local traditions which are connected with nature in harmony. It will be one of the most exciting and cute experiences we had in Lapland. Reindeers are definitely will be my favourite animals!

The frozen waterfalls was something we were very excited to see, and they didn't disappoint! Aldo was a wonderful guide, making sure we were all safe, especially along the slippier areas of the path, giving us advice when needed. He was a wealth of information on the area, telling us about the trees and vegetation, the waterfalls themselves and the history of the area. Ne gave us plenty of time to take in the breathtaking sights and to take photos, and was very obliging by taking photos of us all. He was patient and attentive. He provided us with snacks along the way and cooked sausages for us when we reached the barbeque area, it was just perfect. We brought marshmallows and other guests had other snacks, which we all shared. The journey to and from the park was fun, we were all included in conversations and got to know the other guests who were all lovely. Loads of good music too!! On the way home he asked if any of us were rushing back for another tour or booking, as we were all at leisure he suggested we stop off for a coffee in a quaint little coffee shop in another national park (the first place we came across was closed!) It was lovely to sit around and chat with everyone, the beauty of a small group. Thanks to ArcticGM and to Aldo for a wonderful tour and for all the special memories.

We really enjoyed our snowshoeing adventure with Sofian. The park was beautiful, it was lovely to be surrounded by such beauty, freshly fallen snow, trees, wildlife, views, it had it all. Snowshoeing was new to us, and we had an option to rejoin the path anytime we wanted to. I found walking on the path made it easier to take in our surroundings. After a bit of a climb we reached a viewing point, with the most amazing views. We were lucky to be there on a lovely sunny days so we could see for miles in all directions. Sofian was very knowledgeable and informative. When we got back to the entrance area he cooked sausages for us on a kota grill, beautifully set beside the river. This gave us a chance to relax and chat with the other guests, and ask questions which Sofian answered with ease. Thanks to ArcticGM and Sofian for an unforgettable experience.
