Don’t use this tour agency, Thera are mor responsable an high quality service
I am writing to express my dissatisfaction with the complete disorganization of the tour. Two days before the tour, I was informed of an arbitrary schedule change, only for it to be reverted to the original time later. This should have been an early indication of the lack of coordination. Upon arriving at the meeting point, the area was overcrowded and chaotic, making it impossible to navigate or find assistance. There was no staff available to provide clear guidance, let alone respond kindly to inquiries. Eventually, a young man rushed us to a small 5x5 meter cabin packed with 20 people attempting to change in an incredibly cramped space. The so-called “guide” neither offered assistance nor explained what was going to happen. We were left to fend for ourselves, moving between the facilities and the water without any support. My mother was given a wetsuit that was already wet, which soaked her socks and thermal clothing before the activity even began. When she requested a different suit, the overcrowding made the situation unbearable, triggering claustrophobia and preventing her from completing the experience. The lack of organization was evident in every aspect: overbooked groups, poorly trained staff, and a complete absence of customer service. The facilities were inadequate, with just one restroom for an excessive number of people. The area where we were supposed to float was overcrowded, causing constant collisions with others. Back in the “dressing room,” there was no one available to assist with removing the wetsuit. Later, we were offered a small cup of hot sugary juice in another overcrowded space, where it was impossible to even sit down. The entire experience was unpleasant due to the poor equipment, excessive number of participants, and lack of service. I would neither recommend your tours nor book with your company again. In contrast, we recently participated in several tours with Arctic Circle, which provided a vastly superior experience. Their staff prioritizes customer care, uses high-quality equipment, offers spacious facilities, and handles everything professionally. I hope this reaches your customer service team. This was a complete organizational disaster, and we were deeply dissatisfied with every aspect of the tour

        Snowmobile delight!
Amazing!! Great snowmobile tour. All equipment supplied, clear instructions and well catered for all skill levels. The track was nice and close to Rovamami so the commute time only 15 minutes or so. Great day out!

BIG GROUP TOURS - Disappointed by how they handled their mistake
We booked 2 tours with this provider: 1 booked with Manawa (Northern light esperience), and 1 booked directly on-site (snowmobile tour). The Northern light experience takes place within a big group (full bus), and the location is only 15 minutes' drive from Rovaniemi: once you arrive there, you don't change location, you sit there, make a barbecue and (fingers crossed!) you can see the Northern lights. Then, we booked on-site a snowmobile tour, wich was overall nice; however, we are very disappointed by the last-second change in the starting time that was communicated to us by Whatsapp only 4.5 hours after we booked the tour directly at their office! Around 17:00, we booked the tour for the day after at 10:00 am; then, around 21:30, they called us to say that - due to a mistake ok their side - the tour was moved at 8:30 am. We asked for an explanation, we wanted to get our money back since we were not happy with the new starting time, but they refused to give our money back. We are sorry but this last second change due to their mistake - without giving us any explanation - was UNACCEPTABLE!

Could take it or leave it, expensive attraction that didn’t hit the mark by far.
The peak season bus loads of day visitors daily filled all attractions by 11am and left us as with limited options to enjoy the attractions. We were house guests of the Santa Claus igloos and as paying house guests you would expect any kind of “insider passes” or “guest priority bookings”. Basically if you didn’t book the day before you didn’t get on any rides. Santa experience is rushed and commercialised, he said “hello” then “I hope you enjoy your stay in Finland” to every guest we paid $55EURO for 3 digital downloads. Also if you are planning a trip, you should pre-book your rides and events, and make sure you budget for $50 EURO each for long queues and short rides. Basically allow $500 euro for a full day to experience all attractions. Then there is the 15-20 gift shops you would do well if you are able to avoid. The least memorable was the “information” stand were the girls were there to sell “Arctic circle certificates” and basically couldn’t help me when I asked which food venues had kids menus, they tried to upsell me to the “ice world experience as it has a bar”. 🤷‍♂️ anyway if you are after a pretty old and tacky amusement park basing its revenue of Santa himself… you found it.

        Amazing
I recently participated in the "Bus Tour with Hunting Northern Lights" in Rovaniemi, and it was an unforgettable experience. The tour was exceptionally well-organized; our guides, Irene and Pierre, selected optimal locations for viewing the aurora borealis, ensuring we had the best chance to witness this natural wonder. After the viewing, they took us to a warm, comfortable setting where they provided insightful information about the aurora borealis, enhancing our understanding and appreciation. Their assistance with photography was invaluable, helping us capture stunning images of the lights. I highly recommend this tour to anyone seeking a comprehensive and enjoyable northern lights experience. Ioana

        Don’t fall for it!
It’s terrible. Don’t fall for it. DO NOT do both things below : book through Nordic and go for this scamming activity. This was what happened: 1. It was not magical as it described on the website. We were being brought to a “husky farm” after about 40min coach ride. There wasn’t a proper toilet for guests to use before or after the husky ride. 2. There was no proper briefing to tell you what to expect during the ride. No talking to you about the life of the huskies. Most of the dogs don’t look like husky at all. They looked really like mongrels. 3. We were hurried to the sled after some hot berry juice in the tipi. 4. The dogs ran for about 4km to 5km to “chase” the northern lights. Which there were nothing to see although the sky were clear. The guide driving the sled did not stop at any point at all to allow us to see if there are activities in the sky. 5. After the ride, came down from the sled and we were asked to return to the coach. 6. At this point, the co-guide told us that they will bring us to try to catch aurora at a nearby forest area. 7. The bus wanted to turn into the forest area (there were many other tour buses already there), but Massi, the main guide stopped the driver and told him that Nordic office instructed him to return to the office. 8. We then asked Massi why. He gave a few crappy reasons. He said A) We already caught the aurora earlier during the husky ride, so there wasn’t a need to continue the chase. B) the tour we booked is only for 5km distance which already covered by the husky. This was rubbish. C) We paid lower price package. Again it’s rubbish because we paid 189 Euros! Guys, if you are reading this. Please do not fall for the description. We had done top notch Husky ride experience in another city in Finland. This offered by Nordic was the worst experience we had in Finland. Nordic offered us some refunds but offered zero explanation on why they screwed up our tour experience.

        Amazing experience..!
We had an amazing experience with Nordic Unique Travels, booked through GetYourGuide.com! The tour included an exciting 1h snowmobile safari, a charming 5-10 minute husky sled ride, and a peaceful reindeer sled experience. A huge thank you to Jonas and Camille, who were absolutely wonderful! They were super friendly, always smiling, and made sure everything was perfect. If you’re planning a trip to Lapland, I highly recommend this agency with no hesitation. It was a magical day, and we couldn’t have asked for better guides!

I enjoyed this tour and recommend it!
Tour: Northern Lights Snowmobile Hunt - I enjoyed this tour and recommend it! It was a little chaotic when everyone was getting their overalls, but this is common when there’s such a large group. The tour was still very organized and the guides were very knowledgeable. Upon arrival at the start point, the guides explained us how to safely operate the snowmobile. After we ride for a while, we stopped to set up the fire, grill some sausages, and search for the northern lights. It was like -19°C outside! Some people decided to leave earlier and unfortunately, missed the northern lights. Weather wasn’t in our favor, but at least we were able to see them. With this being said, be prepared to spend multiple hours outside and layer-up. The overalls are good but you still need to wear all other layers, to include a down jacket if it’s very cold. For the return, those that wanted to go ‘faster’ were grouped together, which was very cool. Overall, I liked that we were never rushed, enabled to soak-in our surroundings, and enjoy the experience. Thanks!

        Chaos!
As far as our snowmobile tour for chasing auroras is concerned : First of all and most importantly: this is definitely NOT a northern lights chasing tour. We were just following a snowmobile path next to santa claus village which is definitely not a good place to see the aurora because of all the light pollution and the village’s headlights in the sky. This is definitely a false title to lure more customers into this tour and none of the guides even tried to explain how the aurora works or how we would be able to see the northern lights, so it was definitely a scam. Second of all, the tour got so delayed, we were 2,5 hours out of schedule. When we were changing into our overalls, which almost every company there provides in order to keep you even warmer, they said we were obligated to take off OUR OWN fleece jackets that we were wearing underneath our coats to keep us extra warm and if we didn’t take them off we would have to pay a 15€ fee. To wear OWR OWN fleece layers underneath. Of course we were very cold since it was already dark outside and we were on the snowmobiles. No other company we trusted ever did anything like that. Overall all the guides were very unorganized, we were in a tour with NEARLY 100 people and everything was a total chaos. To top it all off, this was supposed to be an “photography session tour” and they were asking all 100 of us to leave our emails for them to send the pictures to us. Of course, we never received any pictures. We were so sad we lost so much money on this horrible tour, please don't waste your money on them and choose other smaller companies which provide a much much better experience and comfort!

        Incredible experience
We participated in the Northern Lights Photography tour, and it was definitely a worthwhile experience. We were captivated by the breathtaking night sky in Lapland, filled with numerous stars. We also enjoyed the Lappish barbecue so much. We caught a glimpse of the delicate northern lights, and our photographer, Milka, was incredibly patient in assisting each of us with our photos. We took four pictures, and they were quickly shared online just a few days after the tour.

It was worth having this tour, they were so well organised, helpful, kind. It’s worth every penny spent, travelled with a family and a kid with them was comfortable. The tour was really good, the tour guides and others, the photographer all were super nice and helpful.

        WORST EXPERIENCE - AVOID
Cancelled my Rovaniemi snowmobile and fishing booking 19 hours before despite accepting it many days in advance, telling us all of a sudden they were fully booked! We flew all the way from the UK, just for 3 nights for my daughter's birthday and it supposed to be a highlight of the trip - ruined experience and one disappointed little girl. Every other similar experience was already fully booked so we ended up with nothing. AVOID!

Use NUTs, you'll get NUTS! Plus a few hundreds of euros poorer.
To start with, our departure was rather messy as the bus was late, and seemingly it took some time for the organizers to decide what to do in terms of merging two different activity groups. Once arrived to the spot with sleighs, it took again ages for the staff to decide how to organise themselves. One was new and needed to be briefed, another had forgotten his keys. While young guides may be very competent when professional, NUT staff were more like a bunch of young adults having found an easy come easy go job which they did not take that seriously. The WORST was that the excursion did not correspond at all to what had been promised: * We were supposed to go to a "magic frozen lake" far away from the residential areas and their light pollution -> in reality the spot we were taken to was indeed very close to the motorway and the airport...? * The ad said that after arriving, the tour guide would tell us stories and tales of the Northern lights. -> Well, this is total BS as no one told us anything at all. * Officially, we were supposed to be waiting for the Northern lights appear while warming up ourselves with hot blueberry juice and gingerbread, listening to stories once more -> In reality, we did definitely not wait for more than 10 minutes in the spot we had been taken to. No juice was offered to us there in order to be able to wait, as promised, but only at the snowmobile parking once back, and stories and tales were again shining with their absence. Me and my two sons - young adults about the same age than the staff - were super disappointed with the tour. Given it's high cost, this was a total rip off, there is no other way to put it. Use NUTs, you'll get NUTS!!!

Matteo was the best guide! He navigated the icy roads to get us to the husky farm safely. He waited for us to finish making a warm fire, hot berry juice, and gingerbread cookies.
The husky ride was my favorite activity to do! The dogs were eager and happy to take us for a ride. I was even notified two days in advance that there wasn’t enough snow for us to be in a sled but we had just as much fun inside a sleigh cart. I recommend using the bathroom before you get on the road as there are no public restrooms because the farm is the owner’s home or be prepared to go naturally in the woods.

The area through which the husky ride happens is truly magical. The huskies love running, its so obvious from their pulling and howling in excitement when they see another husky running. The farm takes good care of the huskies, they are loved and cared for. Be aware that the huskies might poop/pee while running :D your shoes and pants might need a wash after the ride.
Hot drinks and snacks are really refreshing after the ride. We were really freezing. Do not forget to take scarfs, gloves, beanies.

They also pick you and drop you back from your accommodation. Staff is friendly.

The only negative part of it is that they take up too many people for each trip.. its a bit more than what they can manage. We had 13 husky sledges going one after the other in one round. If one person is slow, the entire group gets a very average experience. We were going really slow most of the time, for the money you pay, you dont get a real "experience", you still get to enjoy the nature and can check husky sledge of your bucket list.

The experience could have been better if they reduced the number of people in each round. The office where you get jacket etc was also extremely crowded, they were struggling to figure out who needs what.. Overall experience could be improved.

My first tour was the Northern Lights Tour with a Barbecue included and the group's atmosphere was great! Valeriia, one of the guides, was amazing. She is heartwarming and does everything so the customers feel comfortable. A second guide joined us later, Matías, and he's El Mejor! He really tried to find the best spot to find the Northern Lights. With his camera he watched where is would be better. The barbecue (soup, sausages & marshmallos) was nicely cooked by the guides. After that we went back to the first stop as the chances were better to catch the northern lights over there. Unfortunately nature wasn't on our side and we could not see the northern lights with our own eyes. But that's fine, still had a great night! Matías also did a favor to the customers which was absolutely amazing, and I thank him for it!

My second tour was the Husky Safari and it didn't even start that we already had some magical moments with Jordy. On our way to the farm our guide Jordy spotted some wild reindeers and made us the huge favor to stop by so we could see them in their natural habitat. Jordy is the best! We couldn't get any better service! The tour itself was nice, it was so to say a long path with the Groenland dogs / Polar dogs. These are not sprinter dogs, so don't expect to be amazed by a race. But wow that was such a beautiful day, in the Lappish forest with these big fluffy dogs. The view was stunning. I was breathless. Dress warm!! (The agency is so good organised that they borrow you some warm clothes if you're not well equipped).

As a single traveller I would like to thank the agency to accept me, because most of agencies require two persons to participate.

Thank you guys! Keep going! Gracias

Fabulous experience ! great place taking care of the dogs.
We were so excited to do this ride as it was our very first time and we love huskies.

It was just amazing to hear all the dogs being so excited hauling like hyenas knowing they were about to start running. I had never experienced that before.

My daughter was the driver and I sat as I have some knee issues so I did not want to be doing the driving and it was so fun. My 2 daughters loved it. The dogs were running fast and we went up and down forcing the drivers to do some sport running up the hill to help the dogs. We did the long 10 km tour which was absolutely fabulous with pink skies and a fairy tale feeling. Afterwards, we went inside to warm up (it is cold !!) where they offered us some warm berry juices and special Christmas cookies around a nice fire where we learned more about the huskies.
A definite must do if you can.

We did 3 excursions with Nordique Unique Travels, each better than the other! In the first, improvised the same day, we were accompanied by Franco. We did the private sauna with jacuzzi and bath in the frozen lake (for us it was enough to immerse one foot! We limited ourselves to the classic angel in the snow), a highly recommended experience for a couple.
With them we then did the 10km trail with the huskies, an unmissable and unique experience, accompanied on site by Gigi, an exquisite person! Gigi helped us with translations and also explained extra information about animals and local habits.
The last excursion, hunting for the Northern Lights with photographer Walter, was the icing on the cake! Walter worked hard all evening to find the right spot to take the best photos, we were helped by the sky which gave us an unexpected show. Special thanks to Walter for taking the photos with dedication despite the frost!
Very reliable tour agency, they always found us a place even for excursions booked for the same day.

The tour didn’t start on time and I had to contact the company Nordic Unique Travels twice to be picked up. Upon arrival at the office there was a mess with the huge crowd of people leaving at the same time and getting the equipment so it was chaotic. It wasn’t clear who was our accompanying guide. Luckily, Henrika (the huskies’ guide at the dogs’ centre) was great. She was passionate and very helpful with the tour as well as managing the dogs. It was totally worth it (despite freezing). When returning, the bus dropped us off at Santa’s centre which was highly appreciated.

Third time doing dog sledding with my daughter, and this is by far the least enjoyable experience. When mass tourism meet mass dog farm (over 200 dogs)...
On arrival, the huge dog farm is not the most enjoyable experience for children. Also with 15 sleds on a short track you spend a lot of time waiting on the track and not riding.
Was surprised to see that in this package, clothing is not included on the price and must be rented separately while guide doesn’t actually check that you are equipped adequately before leaving.
So, from my experience, if you can find smaller group and smaller dog farms the experience is so much more enjoyable.

Terrible experience that ruined our family trip. This is my updated review after 3 full days of dealing with this agency in Rovaniemi.

      Absolutely unacceptable over price,
      activities not run as described,
unprofessional staff (except for 1 lady, Cris, that guided us on first day to the reindeer farm. For full transparency this lady was amazing, she was welcoming, taking care of us, giving plenty of information. Unfortunately the good ended with her)

      The worst had to come.

We paid the husky 5km ride full price as per their booklet and all we got was a 7 min rides. No words was given about the husky farm, no contact with the dogs except 2 min pictures at the end, zero interaction and zero empathy for people travelling from anywhere in the world to visit this places.

We were 2 families at our return to the office, to report the shortage of the run and asking for partial refund.
We were told not to worry, we’d get the partial refund.
The day after, when I went back to the office, they said this was not confirmed by their farmer!
I had to show the lady at the reception the time of my pictures taken in my phone, with time of start of the ride and at the end when we went petting the dogs.

She finally had to admit that indeed it was not right.

The guy who guided us for this activity was useless and didn’t take any action, didn’t give any confirmation to the Nordic Unique Travel colleagues. He was there and clearly saw that the rides were ridiculously shorter than 5km.

We paid a total of 2124 Euros for 4 activities and 1 was cancelled due to weather conditions: when asking for this to be refunded, they stated it was the cheaper snowmobile activity on the list, so only entitled to get €255 back.
Here is the best part: I asked to get the full breakdown of my package as with that cheapest snowmobile activity, it means I paid for their extra fees over 1000 Euro!!
      Completely unacceptable.

All other guides except our first lady , are clearly not trained, not experienced at all to deal with tourists:
no explanations on the activity, no human interaction at all, some were driving too fast the vans in icy roads. Forget getting a sense of Lappish people, all staff is recruited across Spain, Italy, France
There no information shared about Lappish traditions or simply a sense of Lappish lifestyle. We had a guy who drove us for 50km without saying 1 word, not even to explaining what we were going to do. Terrible.
When they picked us up at the hotel, not even a gesture of helping my 7 years old daughter with her luggage…and expecting a tip at the end.

Over 3 days we have seen several customer complaints and discussion in the office while waiting for our tours to start. Tourists are treated like money machine with no manager ever coming out to try to solve the problem.

Really disgraceful representation of a beautiful country like Finland that many families are visiting, especially over Christmas time, and willing to pay.

But not willing to be scammed.

Really sad experience as the nature of the places are amazing and unique, children love this trip

Dear Daniela, Thank you for your review, and we are sorry for your unpleasant experience. First of all, we appreciate your positive feedback about our guide Crissy. All our guides have received the complete training courses before starting to guide with customers, and we have international customers from all around the world which makes it important to provide different languages for our customers, so we have our team international as well. We apologize for making you feel that our guides were not helping enough in the tours, which is absolutely not what they meant to be. For the husky ride, normally the distance is fixed, but the time duration can depend on huskies' speed, but when customers have doubts about the length, we try our best to clarify together with the farm, which sometimes might be tricky since the time duration can vary due to fixed distance. We appreciate your feedback and suggestions which make us improved to be able to provide better service to potential customers, and glad to hear that you have still enjoyed the beauty of Lapland. Warm regards, Nordic Unique Travels

We booked the husky ride with North Unique Travels. It was a unique experience! The sleigh ride was done on a frozen lake, at the end of which the owners of the farm welcomed us into their hut where they had lit a fire for us and offered us some hot tea. A particular note should be made to our guide Lucrezia, a girl who comes from Italy just like us! Besides the advantage of knowing our language he was a super guide! Always present, attentive, professional and fun. So much so that a few evenings later we asked the Boreal driver for the tour, always with the same company. All perfect!
