      Brilliant evening Snowmobiling
We had an amazing time snowmobiling and Jenni was the best instructor and tour guide we had on our entire holiday. Loved the stop over break by the fire to enjoy some traditional finish food before driving back in the dark.

      Awe inspiring auroras!
It was an amazing experience, absolutely splendid to see the lights dance across the sky. The guides were very helpful and friendly. They took us to a location with very little light pollution where we had a clear, cloudless view of the sky. Thank you safartica for the superb experience!

      Snow mobiling/Ice Fishing with Martin
My family and I took the 5 hour snow mobile and ice fishing tour and lunch with MARTIN. First off, Martin was nothing short of amazing! He was kind and funny and did his absolute best to make sure our kiddos had the best experience. We were extremely lucky and were the only ones to book the tour that day, so we had a private tour, making the day even more special. The views while snow mobiling down the river and through the forest were exceptional. The ice fishing was a fun and informative activity. We weren’t lucky in catching anything, but it didn’t take away from the fun at all. We then took the snow mobiles to a quaint cottage in the woods where Martin started a fire and cooked soup, sausages and bread for lunch. It was a nice warm break and provided more time to learn about Finland from our amazing guide. Martin told great stories and even gave us better recommendations for the hike we planned to take the next day. (We took his advice and the hike was perfect!) The tour was definitely a 5 star experience and an absolute highlight of our time in Finland! Thank you Martin!

      Easter in Rovaniemi
I took part of an Italian group. We have spent the Easter holidays in Rovaniemi. We had an italian speaking guide, Isabella. She was really a great guide, very kind and well-informed about every issue regards to Rovaniemi and about northern lights. She talked us about a lot of interesting things. I really enjoyed the programs we had.

Unforgettable day in the depth of the artic forest
This was one of the best experiences we had during our stay in Lapland. Boris, our guide, was extremely polite and so knowledgeable, he knows the area so well and we got to drive through some amazing spots. Everything was just perfect: our guide, our small group, the weather (we had snow which was amazing), the landscape and the ride itself! It's really full day and you are really able to make the most of snowmobiling as the tour covers lots of distance. We totally recommend doing this experience if you are looking for snowmobile tours in Rovaniemi. Thank you sooo much Boris for an unforgettable day of fun and beauty!

A reliable company with great service
Went on multiple excursions in the Rovaniemi and Ylläs area with Safarica in the past week, the team on each of them felt like a well oiled machine. The most impressive part, was the collective number of languages spoken by the guides. I was especially blown away by the girl with the blond & brown hair speaking 4 languages pretty much fluently.

Great overall Experience! Were able to capture the Auroras!
The tour was really good. We were able to spot the aurora at the 2 locations the guide took us. The guide was good and took us to great viewing spots, as well as captured good photos. Overall happy with the experience and will recommend to take the tour at least once when in Lapland!

Best of the best! Snowmobile activity for bucket list.
Snowmobile safari was on my husband bucket list and we reviewed carfully each and every company before deciding for Safartica tour combining not one exciting attraction but 3 (ride + hotel + dinner). But from beginning. We were picked from Santa Clause village and taken to the Rovaniemi city center office. We collected our equipment, bought extra insurance (think it was good to have), walked to the river side where we got proper instructions from our guide Hugo. We were in a group of 9 (5 snowmobiles) which was really good size (maybe we were lucky). We drove to the hotel with max speed of 40km/h. Snow hotel is a unique place. I really did not think it would impress me that much. Lappish dinner in Kota was another special experience. Salmon portions were good size and soo tasty. On the way back we were allowed to drive 70km/h. Summarising only positive feedback: + guide Hugo 11/10 - knowledgable and friendly + total 80km ride 9/10 - snow conditions made it a bit bumpy ride (should not blame organisers about weather conditions, it was beatuful sunny day) + snow hotel 10/10 - suprisingly exciting attraction + lappish dinner in Kota 11/10 yammy + nice and well organised group 10/10 Thank you Hugo and Safartica!

Amazing company to book through. Would highly recommend
Highly recommend the company for any bookings during your stay in Rovianemi. Extremely friendly and professional. All equipment provided including snow suits, boots, gloves, socks etc. Office is conveniently located in the centre of Rovianemi city. Transport to the excursion is comfortable, clean and spacious. We used Safartica for our Buba Huskey visit and our Safartica rep was great! She provided knowledge on the way about the city, the dogs and what to expect and was there to answer any questions we had. We highly recommend Safartica for any excursions bookings.

      A mystical experience
Having never been to a place quite as cold as Rovaniemi, I felt quite out of place in the beginning. By the time I was gone, I was incredibly thankful to have come out of my comfort zone and created so many great memories. This was largely due to having an enthusiastic and skillful guide named Noa. He had a great sense of humour and made sure to maximise our fun whilst prioritising our safety too. Despite the clouds covering the sky during my visit, I would definitely recommend going to Rovaniemi and looking at the beautiful snow forest on a snowmobile, going ice bathing, and much more. Hopefully you get a guide as good as ours!

      No Lights: Good Try
Very well done. Seeking the Aurora, the bus (comfy and large) went to several locations seeking lights. While we didn't see any Northern Lights, the staff were helpful, tried hard to find good spots, and were careful with the customers. Nothing you can do about clouds, but this group did its best. Would go back with them -- if the weather was cooperating.

      Snowmobile tour in Rovaniemi
Venturing into the snowy landscapes of Rovaniemi, I embarked on an exhilarating snowmobile tour guided by Mr Alejandro. His extensive experience in snowmobiling was evident as he briefed us on safety protocols, ensuring that each participant felt confident and prepared for the upcoming expedition. . Their adeptness at reading the terrain and assessing potential hazards instilled a sense of trust and security among the group, allowing us to fully immerse ourselves in the thrill of the adventure.Their infectious enthusiasm and good humor kept spirits high, turning even the most challenging moments into opportunities for laughter.Whether you're a seasoned snowmobiler or a first-time rider, I wholeheartedly recommend embarking on a tour with Alejandro for an experience that promises excitement, enlightenment, and lasting memories.

We booked for a family of 8 people. Martin and Amelia were our Tour Guides who took us from Safartica Office by coach to Santa Claws Village (approximately 10 minutes), we arrived at 9:50am. We were advised to start queuing straight away to see Santa, as it can get very busy. We queued less than 20 mins and was greeted by a very happy Santa. No photography was allowed and we paid £35 for a glossy print. At 11:30am we met back up with Martin & Amelia and was taken to the rear of Santas village to a buffet restaurant. Food consisted of Pork, vegetables and cakes. Fizzy drinks and alcohol was to be purchased at bar, but squash, water, tea and coffee were free. We spent 45 minutes at restaurant before getting back on coach and returning to Safartica Office. We were given overalls, boots, socks, baklava, helmet and gloves and walked about 7 minutes to collect the Snowmobiles. Martin was very thorough and explained everything very clearly. Martin led the tour and we had an exhilarating ride along Finlands longest lake (frozen) which was amazing, we had a few stops along the way and was told not to worry about taking photos as there will be plenty of time on the way back. We reached the reindeer farm and what a treat this was. The reindeers seemed happy to carry two people through the trees on a 2/3 minute ride, but I noticed they ran a lot faster down hill due to the weight of the sledge pushing them. A Reindeer Herder sat us around an indoor fire shelter and blessed us with a knife to the back of the neck and black soot to the forehead. He told some pretty amazing stories about Finland and Reindeers. Following this we were taken for a hot beverage and cake where we were awarded our Reindeer Licences. Upon heading back to the Snowmobiles, we collected a toboggan to sled down the small hill. Amelia guided us back to Safartica Offices and the family was split up, some with Martin and some with Amelia. We were extremely disappointed as she stopped us going any faster than 25km unlike Martin who allowed us to go at a steady fast speed. We were unable to keep up with the our family in front who kept stopping to wait for us and to take photos as promised. Amelia failed to allow us to take any photos and for this I am only giving 2 stars. Amelia later explained that someone had died on the lake the week before and this is why she was slow.

Guides were friendly and well-organised but the group was reasonably large. For the morning part - Santa’s Village and the lunch - this wasn’t too problematic but in the afternoon our already large group joined with another large group for the snowmobiling and reindeer ride.

Safety wise, it was fine. When we arrived at the reindeer farm, it was all a bit disorganised and my husband missed out on a ride despite waiting at the gate the whole time. When we pointed this out to them at the end, the people running the farm just said to us “well, we asked the tour guides a couple of times to make sure everyone had a ride and we’re not going around again.”

The guides seemed embarrassed by the attitude of the people running the rides and so offered to take a family photo of us next to the reindeer but we would have just preferred that my husband got a ride.

When going inside for a hot drink and biscuit, again it was very busy with the two large groups in a small space and, as we were the last there (due to waiting in vain for my husband’s reindeer ride), we were unable to find a space for the 5 of us to sit together.

The morning was great, the afternoon less so. Lunch was good quality local fare and a decent range of options in the buffet as well (the two raw fish dishes were incredible) so no complaints there.

We came to Lapland for the first time in January 2020, 12th-15th. I booked this trip for the 14th and it was worth every penny. Rachel was our guide and she was fantastic from start to finish, it was just me travelling alone with my two sons, 3 and 4 years old. They done everything to make our trip easy and enjoyable and my youngest had fallen in love with Rachel by the end of the day. It was such a good day with amazing memories made. Thank you so much!!!!

We opted for “in pursuit of reindeer” snowmobiling to a reindeer farm.

Raúl was our guide and he was incredible! He was so kind, helpful and patient.
We were in a group of 4 adults and 5 children. The children went behind Raúl in a sled, he brought extra blankets for the little ones.
I wasn’t sure if the snowmobiling part would be long enough but it was plenty, we got to see so much of the snow covered forest and even stopped for a play and a few photos on the way.

I don’t know what I was expecting from the reindeer ride, I think I had imagined the entire group in a giant Santa sized sleigh being pulled at lightning speed by a large group of reindeer…
There were 2 reindeer, each being led by a guide around a small track, each reindeer pulled one sleigh with 2 ppl at a time.

We all had a great time, big thanks again to Raúl for being the best guide and making the experience so enjoyable

We booked ourselves 3 experiences and so glad we did so with them.

    1) the Aurora picnic which was excellent as the lady who was our guide did a fantastic job giving us the history and details of the Aurora phenomenon. She was very hands on setting up the camp and giving us a little picnic.

    2) Full day snowmobile safari to Snow hotel - We couldn't have had a better guide, David was brilliant. His enthusiasm and confidence was infectious and he made the whole trip so enjoyable. He was extremely helpful and patient with our challenged skills on the snowmobile. The snow hotel was fabulous experience and the lunch served there was outstanding.

    3) Arctic delight - Santas village and snow mobiles to reindeer farm. We were a part of a big group so had Boris and Barbara as our guides. Santas village was a delight specially for the younger ones, loads of souvenir shops and cafes to visit. The buffet lunch was average. We were then shuttled back by bus to the snow mobiles to ride over to the reindeer farm which was yet another great experience.

We wouldn't hesitate to recommend Safartica for fabulous experiences of the Lapland.

We had a great day. Our tour guide Raul was awesome. So definitely would advise everyone to just book all your activities through safartica as we did. The guides are all very attentive. The following day we also did the aurora picnic and the husky ride. Which was guided by Hugo. We were so lucky and got to see the aurora aswell. Hugo filled us in with many informations. Many thanks to Hugo and Raul.

Hey, it's not Tahiti, so don't expect winter thrills without the chills! BUT, Santa Claus Village IS magical at Xmas time - even for an adult! You will get cold, very cold. But rug up sensibly with the safari supplied clothing, and you'll be enjoying yourself without a worry in the world. You will NEED their gloves and jackets and boots for the snowmobiling, but if you haven't snowmobiled in Finnish Lapland, at Christmas, then you haven't lived. Cross a 'must do' off the bucket list, you won't be disappointed! Our memories and photos will remain with us forever! Thankyou Safartica!
