- Explorer2918133020100Aurora hunting at the Inari lakeWe enjoyed so much with this nice family. The night was so cloudy, but they made it and we saw a weak aurora in the middle of the Insti lake. We had a very nice dinner with sausages and delicious salmon soup.
- Curious4954117280800Awesome tour with local guide and reindeers! Our guide Tina was so friendly, our family loved the tour! We were lucky to see the Northern lights, and there were reindeers in the island we visited. Dinner was very good, even our children did like the delicious salmon soup. Highly recommended!
- WilliamDa176200Scenic fishingMy wife and I decided to go icefishing during our trip and it was a pleasant experience. Tina took us, along with three others, by snowmobile to a scenic part of the lake where we drilled our holes and dropped our lines. We probably fished for around 1.5 hours and the group caught a total of two fish. We then went back to a teepee on Tina’s island where we are a reindeer and potatoes soup and sausage. One person on our tour was vegetarian so they accommodated him with a different type of soup. There were also a couple of reindeer there that we were able to feed. It was a lot of fun and I’m happy we actually caught some fish!
- Tahmina H00Deeper to the WildernessExcellent experiment. We couldn’t see the northern light with naked eyes due to heave clouds and light snow. Otherwise the whole package was enjoyable. The guide was super nice.
- 319katharineb00Northern lights in full moon in Lake InariWe were staying in Saariselkä, and wanted to book a tour to see Auroras, this tour was a great choice! There were even reindeers in the island where we had dinner, and we could feed them. We saw the Northern light both in the lake and in the island, it was so beautifull!
- Lianne V00Very good tour!Very good tour! The couple picked us up at the hotel in Ivalo. We got warm clothes and went with a small bus to the lake. There we went on a sledge pulled by snow mobile and had a ride on the lake. Beautiful to see the Northern Light around us! (Kp 3) . After that we went to a small island in the tipi and had a lovely warm dinner( also vegetable option). There were 2 rendeers as well . Lovely to see them around . Thank you!
- amandacX3728PY00Nice tour to Lake Inari with amazing dinner! Our guide Tina was very friendly, dinner was great. Salmon soup was the best soup ever! It was nice to sit in teepee by warm fire and drink hot berryjuice 😊 Weather was bit cloudy, but we did see small Northern lights from the island 🤩
- subino8500Amazing! Must do!Amazing. Cold, but amazing! We didn’t see the lights, but any dissatisfaction left us because of the kind host. This family owned and run business kitted us out well and brought us to a tepee. This campfire warmed tepee provided a great atmosphere and the hosts cooking was delicious Finnish food. We were allowed to take photos on the sled/snowmobile and they all turned out great. Highly recommend.
- michaelkK2594YL00Great Trip to the lakeit was a really great trip on the lake. the fishing was fun even though we didn't catch anything. The silence on the lake unbelievable. Luckily the clothes were very warm and the -18 degrees weren't a problem. Afterwards we had lunch at the camp fire in the tipi tent. You could warm up with warm berry juice and delicious food. the soup was really tasty. We would definitely do the tour again
- Nictar00Absolutely Wonderful and Magic!!!An amazing experience. Running with snowmobile on the Inari Frozen Lake in a total safe condition is wonderful. Incredible landscapes. The fishing experience beautiful and the lunch in a Sami Tent warm and delicious. All the organization with hotel pick up, warm clothes, info given by the guide was perfect. I truly appreciated every single minute of the experience. I truly suggest everyone to try it!!
- marrB4756ZI00Excellent company to go fishing in the iceGoing with a small group of people was excellent, the company is a very nice local familiar, the food was quite good and the fisherman was very kind with us. We strongly recommend this company. We were not lucky fishing, however. Anyway, we would love to go back!
- 787anisham00Unforgettable ExperienceMy husband and I had booked the ice fishing tour with Ivalo Safaris and we had the best time of our lives. We were picked up from our accommodation and then driven to the Ivalo Safari office. There we were given warm overall, snow boots, gloves and helmets, to prepare us for the sledge ride. This was followed by a short drive to Lake Inari from where we were taken into the frozen lake for the activity. Our guide Arto was super helpful and fun. He taught us how to drill a hole in the frozen lake, set a bait and wait to catch a fish. After fishing for a while, Arto took us back to a Teepee where he had prepared a scrumptious lunch over the fire. We ate delicious smoked reindeer soup, bread, sausages and cake! Arto also took us to their farm to meet reindeers and feed them lichen. Overall it was a wonderful experience and Arto was extremely accommodating of all requirements. We would strongly recommend this activity to anyone and everyone who wants to experience the Lappish wilderness in the midst of serenity and tranquility. It's also a great way to learn a lot about the popular Finnish activity of ice fishing. Don't forget to book it through Ivalo Safari and do ask for Arto!
- 955leyat00Highly recommendedMy husband and I had the best day trying ice fishing. The day was well paced, not rushed. Arto taught us what we needed to know and let us go ahead with it. Lunch in the teepee was a lovely experience. The sled ride was mesmerising. Highly recommend - thanks Ivalo Safaris. Above and beyond.
- SwissSafari00Good service, great Trip!We had booked the Aurora-Hunting Safari quiet well ahead. Two days before the date we were contacted by Ivalo Safari to let us know about the bad weather expected. We could change the date for better weather - very flexible, thank you! We had a great guide (Anssi), very attrentif and knowledgeable and could learn a lot about Finland. Great Aurora Sights and enough time for pictures! Thank you dear Ivalo Safari Team for the great trip and your flexibility. We will definitely book you again.
- 629cecilian00Nice experience!Really enjoyed the norther lights hunting trip to Inari lake, the staff was helpful and punctual, the landscape was beautiful, we were also really like and saw the aurora after a while.

Went for snow mobile and totally regretted it. It’s fun but it’s not suitable for me. 10 mins into the ride my fingers and toes were so cold they hurt. Heat pads and gloves helped. The view at the destination was very beautiful and lunch was awesome! On the return journey my partner’s glasses got so frosty he drove off track and we landed in knee length snow. My gloves flew off and my hands nearly froze in -20 degrees celcius. The recovery was very painful. Hands felt like they were on fire! The 2 guides were superb, we had to ride pillion after the incident and a fellow snow mobiler took over our mobile. The return trip was faster but very bumpy, probably due to increased speed. Some parts of the ride were so shakey I felt so much stress on my neck. Ski masks and helmets were really useful.

Hello!
I was looking at your photos and photos are not from our tour. There photos are taken in Saariselkä, we make our tours 30 kilometers from Saariselkä in Ivalo River and in Lake Inari :)
But i am sorry you did not like snowmobiling, and I would be happy if you can change the rewiew for the company it belongs :) Thank you! Tina from Ivalo Safaris

This was a last minute decision but well worth it. Cost included pick- up and drop-off at hotel, cold weather and protective clothes to include socks, cap, gloves, boots and uniform. A short walk to the Ivalo River, followed by brief review and test drive. Then you are on your way. Stop for lunch in a local style tepee, but warm drink, soup, bread, and desert around a fire. Return via loop for 4h tour. Tour guide was energetic, funny, and helpful. Definitely recommend!
