Overview
Exploring a city’s food scene without a guide can mean you don't get the full story behind the dishes you try. This half-day tour gives you the scoop on both Copenhagen’s hottest and most traditional eating spots, markets, and dishes, providing a well-rounded, yet up-to-the-minute take on its cuisine. Plus, the tastings equate to a light meal, so you don’t need to eat before or after.
What to Expect
Meet your guide in central Copenhagen and set off to explore its food repertoire.
The city has emerged as a foodie hotspot, with many chefs eschewing historical Danish dishes for lighter, fresher dishes. Your tour reflects this, covering both the city’s contemporary and traditional foods. Locations vary from tour to tour, so the places mentioned don’t provide a definitive list of the outlets you’ll visit.
Explore Torvehallerne market and try some artisanal cheeses at Arla Unika, one of Copenhagen’s trendiest cheese vendors, before sampling treats such as preserves and caramels at the Bornholmer shop.
After enjoying some Danish apple wine, visit the Aamanns café for smørrebrød (open rye sourdough sandwiches topped with largely organic and free-range ingredients).
Enjoy three craft beers at Nørrebro Bryghus, savor a hot-dog bite at the Ecological Hot Dog Stand, and lastly, visit Summerbird Chocolate to dig into its flødeboller (chocolate-covered marshmallows).
Your tour then finishes at the starting point.

Good Fun!

Worth doing especially if it’s your first time in Copenhagen. We went back to the food halls and bought the Havarti cheese we tasted. A good find.

Sorry for the delay as well. A lot of walking on this tour. I would not recommend the standard tour, but maybe they could customize something for you. Worth an inquiry.

It might be. While we had a fair amount of meat (including a hot dog stop) I think you can customize the tour somewhat. For instance, I have a shellfish allergy. They were able to work around that. The website says to... More
