Highlights
Insider's tales of the history of the Vesterbro neighborhood
Stop at the only local establishments dating back from the early days
Craft beer tasting of locally produced brews
Walk away with recommendations for your independent explorations
What to Expect
Meet your guide and small group of just 12 people at Copenhagen's central train station, an easy walk to the Vesterbro neighborhood. Set off on foot as your guide provides commentary on the neighborhood, which was a vice-filled red-light district in the 1960s.
See for yourself how it has changed—now chock-full of trendy restaurants, bars, and boutiques. Stop at one of the bodegas dating back from the early days, still standing and very important to the locals. Have a beer there and then make your way up one of the most famous streets in Denmark, hearing tales and folklore of the neighborhood—things you probably wouldn't learn if you were exploring on your own.
Say goodbye to your guide and group, but not without some recommendations on where to explore further in the neighborhood.

This tour provides a candid Glimpse into the beer culture of the Danes, but also provided much more than I anticipated: history of the area, conversations on social justice and reform and local tips on where to find the best of everything from glug to kebab. Highly recommend.
Jam was a great guide! He was very informative about beer culture in Copenhagen, as well as the history of the country. We made three stops and tried a few different beers along the way. I would definitely recommend Urban Adventures and would do this tour again myself if I make…

Yay, Agathe! Thank you for this raving review. I'm so delighted to hear you had such a wonderful time with Kristian exploring Copenhagen's tucked-away Vesterbro area that on first view just not seems that cool, but with our stories often become our guests favorite area. It's not surprising for us locals that Lonely Planet have named the area one of the coolest neighborhoods in the world! You're of course always welcome to come back on your next visit, then we will be happy to show you even more of our fantastic city. All the best, Lars
Kristian is a phenomenal tour guide. From the beginning, we connected and had an amazing time touring Copenhagen and tasting local brews. At one point we told Christian that it felt like we weren’t on a tour but getting drinks with a friend. Thank you so much for our favorite…
