      Typical Hop-On-Hop-Off Bus Tour
Compared to other hop on hop off bus tours, this one was average. Maybe it was the time of year, but this tour was an okay overview of Copenhagen.

      Great Copenhagen overview
A great way to introduce this amazing city. Expert and sometimes humorous- if a little out of date - commentary. Audio quality excellent. Even in a cold February the bus was warm. Driver had customers at heart.

      Scam
One thing you absolutely should NOT do in Copenhagen. We hopped on the boat and like others headed to one of the 2 outdoor areas so that we could see. The inside is cramped and there’s zero visibility to the outdoors because of the low roof and foggy windows. Without explanation or any courtesy, we were shouted at to sit inside. There were others seated outside (at the front of the boat). I went up to the front and asked why we couldn’t sit outside so that we could see given that others were allowed. We were again shouted at to get inside and sit down, and despite the fact that the boat hadn't yet left, we were not allowed to disembark. The tour guide proceeded to read from a program in multiple languages. There was zero visibility, zero useful information and we were left feeling that we’d unfortunately been scammed.

      Abusive Bus Driver
Very negative experience. Journey started smoothly. The weather was grey and there was a possibility of rain, and it did fall for a bit half way through the bus tour. I plugged my headphones into sound system, but only one ear piece worked. Due to roof cover view was very restricted. When we passed the marble church and I couldn't see anything, I waited until the next stop and went down to change my earphones and to ask the driver if he could open the roof. He got annoyed with me, and didn't want to do it. For some reason he took personal offence at my question, and started harassing me. I ignored him and went upstairs. I couldn't believe it... when we arrived at the following stop, he came upstairs, and he confronted me again in front of all the other passengers. He asked me, with a thick Greek accent, 'What couldn't you see?'. I mentioned the church, and explained that on the narrow roads, we can't see anything. He went on to verbally abuse me in front of the whole group, saying how he kept feeling insulted every time I said 'but' - a word that I didn't even use! - and accusing me of being selfish and not thinking about the other people (he was assuming that the other passengers didn't want the roof open, but he never asked!) I really wasn't looking for a fight. I was in total disbelief. His attack was totally uncalled for. After stop 5 I moved to a different seat, but the sound system still didn't work properly. We skipped stops 6, 7 and 8. At stop 9, we were told that stops 10 and 11 were also closed, and that at stop 12, we couldn't switch to the green line as the green line and purple line only run in good weather! It was a bit late in the day to be told that - I hadn't seen any info about that anywhere, and was disappointed even further by the whole experience. I still don't know what stops 13 and 14 were all about - we just stopped in front of the Marriott Hotel, and at another nondescript hotel. I felt I had completely wasted two valuable hours of my three day trip to Copenhagen.

Buyer Beware! Experience varies by season!!
Buyer beware. There is a lot of information missing from the description. First, the boat and two of the three bus routes only run in the summer. But this isn’t explained anywhere. Instead, it seems we paid the same, then waited a while at a bus stop for a route that wasn’t running. When we finally got on, it wasn’t even covering all the stops because, again, those are only open in the summer.

Really informative and fun canal cruise. The tour guide Deborah really knew her stuff and made the tour distinctive with her charm. Would recommend if you want a good tour of the city for an affordable price

Nice tour through the canals of Coenaghen. There are two "versions", one lasting 60 minutes and another a little longer. With the possibility of an audio guide in several languages, including Italian, the tour allowed us to take a peek even in areas of the city that were outside our original itinerary, then broaden our gaze on Copenhagen. As for the cost, I can not say since we had the Copenhagen Card and this activity is included, but in my opinion it is worth it.

I recently took a canal tour in Copenhagen, and it was one of the highlights of my trip! The views from the water were absolutely breathtaking, showcasing the city's stunning architecture and vibrant atmosphere. Our guide was not only knowledgeable but also engaging, sharing interesting stories and historical facts about the landmarks we passed.

Sailing through the picturesque canals allowed us to see the city from a unique perspective, and I highly recommend this tour to anyone visiting Copenhagen. It's a perfect way to relax and take in the beauty of the city while learning something new. Don’t miss out on this fantastic experience - it’s worth every krone!

I enjoyed the boat trip so far and it gives a good impression of Copenhagen. The trip takes an hour and the price is more than OK. Because of this low price, the boat can be very full. The tour guide was good and gave some interesting insights and funny stories. What I found negative was that she had to give her comments in three languages (German, English and Danish).

A pleasant boat trip on a sunny day but we did not have a “ live guide” and the audio guide was infantile and condescending. It didn’t even mention the Kastellet, near the Little Mermaid and easily one of the best sites in Copenhagen! However the fact that this company ( see picture) charge 169DKK PP when the company just 50m further along the canal charge just 60DKK is an OBSCENE RIP OFF! Nearly three times the price! Don’t make the mistake we made by going to the first boats where interestingly they don’t advertise their price!

This review is not of the canal tour itself, but the way our tour was abruptly cancelled so we couldn't go! We had eagerly anticipated this tour to cap a multi day visit, and arrived long before the departure to ensure good seats. Several boats at our dock and the next one loaded and left, their captains assuring us that our boat was coming. Long after the expected departure time the end our line suddenly moved towards another boat and got on, filling it completely. Only after this did staff tell us our boat had broken down, there were no more boats that day, and it was on us to stand in the (now very long line of angry yelling people) to rebook another day or request a refund. Not wanting to be in that scrum I called their customer service line but their option tree for service remained in Danish despite 'pressing 9 for English'.
Problems happen and this company is stretched to the limit in boats and staff -- but the total failure to inform anyone of the issue and leave one hapless ticket agent to clean up the mess is not acceptable.
Stromma has the technology to book your activity, take your money, and send you an electronic ticket in seconds...they could easily send a notice of the problem with alternatives that could all be done online.
On the bright side, we ended up using the harbor bus to get a water perspective of Copenhagen which turned out great!

The guide was very knowledgeable, but unfortunately, we could only hear the odd few words coming through the speaker system because of the ambient background noise.
The boats captain was an excellent navigator through the somewhat very tight turns.
It's worth the money, and maybe a headphone loop system would enable you to hear better.

Excellent introduction to Copenhagen and several key sights. I was hoping for an open-top boat but we were in a covered boat. We sat on the end so we could roll back the cover and stand up at very specific points along the route for a better view and photos. We sat on the left side but the presentation was given from the viewpoint of the right side. Next time I would ask the tour guide before selecting a seat. Information was given in both English and Danish with very clear understanding of the English.
I also want to share that my daughter was with me. She was in Copenhagen for a month for college and she went on a private canal tour with a different company. She says this tour was better for how many sights we saw in the same amount of time but that the private tour was in English only so more details were shared about the sights that were seen.

This was the perfect way to start our first visit to Copenhagen! We had looked into renting a Go Boat but I was relieved that we chose not to after seeing them around the canals and waterways, moving a miserably slow speeds and without anyone to provide insights and history about what we were looking at, and where we were in the context of this beautiful city. Fortunately, the weather was wonderful for our ride which made for a relaxing and enjoyable hour-long adventure touring around the city. Our tour guide was a humorous and knowledgeable gentleman (whose name we did not get, unfortunately) who made the time pass all too quickly. Our only complaint was the poor sound quality of the microphone & speakers mounted on our boat. Much of what the guide said sounded very garbled for the majority of our trip -- This really should get addressed and fixed to fulfill the experience of these tours! All in all, we highly recommend taking this canal tour when visiting Copenhagen!

A great trip on a long wide canal boat - certainly visited some very interesting places and part of the Copenhagen Card so can be free. At one part of our trip the wind suddenly blew and the heavens opened so got absolutely soaked. They very quickly rushed round with plastic covers but was by then soaked. A warm day so wasnt a disaster. You just have to smile and laugh. Very good trip especially if free.
