SeakayakFOOTSTEPS OF PIRATES rocky formations sea caves snorkeling sandy beaches
From US$104.26
Doing your own kayaking and snorkeling off Rhodes means arranging your own equipment and going without the instructions and safety of a guide. This full-day trip lays everything on, allowing you to focus on the experience and sights. Paddle a tried-and-tested and scenic route; visit beaches hard to access by land, snorkel in waters rich with fish, and hear detail on the scenery you’d miss alone. Plus, lunch is included.
What to Expect
The route starts from the edge of a sandy beach located midway down the eastern side of Rhodes.
Rowing round the rocky coastline, we then come across two isolated beaches with red sands, which are otherwise hard to access by land. They’re an ideal sport for a refreshing dip in the sea and a traditional Greek salad.
After that we’ll have a chance to see amazing rock formations, small sea inlets and the stunning natural curve of Agia Agathi Beach.
Before the gloriously sandy Agia Agathi Beach we’ll stop off to snorkel in a small bay with a stunning seabed and small cave that we can swim through.
This brings us close to the medieval Haraki Castle located on the cape before Lindos as you head south.
Rowing round this small cape we come to Haraki Beach, with its white pebbles and crystal clear waters. We then finish up in the tiny fishing port at the start of Kalathos Bay. There we can see the glistening shimmer of Lindos and its ancient acropolis in the distance.
The sea kayaking equipment, manufactured by the "PERCEPTION" brand, we provide our guests is selected to match the kayaker’s body type and all guests are provided with safety gear and waterproof bags.
No super athletic physique is necessary.
Our team who take you on your exploration are experts and know the history and culture of Rhodes inside out.
They are skilled kayakers, and with their help you will learn some hints and tips to surpass yourself.
Our coach will pick you up at your hotel between 8:00 to 08:45 or 30 minutes after docking time of your cruise ship (the exact time depends on where your hotel is or the docking time of the ship).
Start exploring Rhodes from the sea around 09:20
Sea kayaks and safety equipment are selected according to your body type.
While en route learn about the nature and history of Rhodes from our group leaders.
Destinations include rocky formations at sea, medieval castles and bastions, and remote beaches depending on the tour route you select.
Plenty of cold bottled water is awailable during the day tour.
Enjoy a delicious Greek snack to recharge your batteries before the return journey.
We then head back to the coach.
You’ll be back at your hotel or port gate by around 16.00 or 40 minutes before ships departure .
