Overview

Driving and wine tasting really don’t mix well—so let a professional handle the driving on this half-day Santorini wine tour. Visiting three separate local wineries, taste 12 to 15 different wines, accompanied by local cheese and snacks, and learn the secrets of Santorini’s volcanic varieties. Tour includes round-trip transportation from selected hotels, central pickup points, or the port, and a small group size means plenty of personal attention.

What to Expect
Greet your guide and small group at your hotel, the port, or a central pickup point. As you travel, learn about Santorini’s rich winemaking heritage: Vines have flourished in these volcanic soils for at least 5,000 years.

As you visit three estates, tour vineyards, learn about wine production, and discover the rare grapes that go into each vintage as you sample 12 to 15 wines. See how winemakers train their vines into basket shapes to shield the fruit from wind and sun, and counter the harsh volcanic soil.

As you return, wine certificate and information booklet in hand, enjoy a scenic tour of Santorini’s farmland, and see what other produce thrives in the volcanic soil.
