Fatima tour half day
Feb 2020 • Friends
Our tour guide was very nice. There was only me and my friend signed up for this trip and she picked us up at our hotel and brought us back there. Her English was very good and she explained the Fatima story perfectly.

Great visit to Fatima
Feb 2020
Our pick up and drop off were very convenient to our accomodation.
Michaela (sp?) was very informative, took us to the highlight points of Fatima and told the story well and added interesting elements to the story as well. She spoke excellent English.

The length of the trip was perfect and we it was timed perfectly to allow us to attend Mass in the Cathedral.

Dream Visit
Jan 2020 • Solo
I really enjoyed the visit, it was a dream comes true. Carlos our tour guide was more than perfect and showed us everything. My advise is to buy souvenirs from the shop in front of the young saints house, it is at least 3 euros less in each item than the big shops.

Our half-day trip to Fatima Shrine was enough for us to get to know the sites. Our guide Fabio was fluent in English. He gave insights about the Portuguese culture as a whole not only about the sites we visited.

Everything was perfect: a very comfortable ride, a nice touristic guide, and interesting shops. It was very emotional for me to be able to see Jacinta and Lucia graves at the church.

Half day tour with cool tours
Oct 2019 • Solo
Very disappointing. We did not see the sanctuary, the grave sites and we were unable to stay till the end of Mass A visit to a very expensive commercial souvenir complex for over half an hour was unnecessary and I did not sign up for a port tasting.
The guide left us to our own devices most of the time. A guided tour should be GUIDED one may think.
The morning pick up was confusing because of the marathon (no ones fault ) but when all the streets were open in the afternoon could see no reason why a 20 min walk back to hotel was necessary.
All in all will not use cool tours again and encourage friends to follow suit

Hello, We've read your review and would like to make some comments: 1. It's impossible not to visit the Sanctuary of Fátima - it is the main purpose of this tour (half-day) and where we spend the majority of the time. The Sanctuary is the whole complex composed by the two basilicas and many other places of interest. 2. This tour is somewhat different in a way that most people wants more a spiritual experience rather than cultural. In this sense, it is perfectly normal to give all information when we reach the Sanctuary and customers then explore freely the grounds of Fatima. Of course, we can guide around Fátima Sanctuary for those more curious if that's what the customer wants. 3. We do not control mass schedules as you can imagine, sometimes one of the churches is closed for more restricted ceremonies. 4. We do not offer any tastings. However it's common to visit a shop with religious items - some customers are really fond and others not quite. 5. According to our guidelines, pick-up is included in customer's hotel or nearest location - ONLY within few selected areas. On the day of your tour there was a marathon but drop-off is only made in 2 points nevertheless. The marathon was not an issue because we drop the clients at Marques de Pombal or Restauradores square (at customer's choice). It is written in the page tour description at our website or any given tour operator. I hope these elements can shed some light to your observations. The Cooltours staff

Awesome Half-Day Small-Group Fatima Tour from Lisbon

We really enjoyed this tour. It was well organized and allowed free time to see the parts of the area that were most important to you. We also attended the mass which was beautiful. Our guide was knowledgeable and her English was perfect. We had a great time!

Fatima Tour
Sep 2019
We had a short stay in Portugal, my husband was there on business . Sunday was the only day we had together. Our guide Ricardo, picked us up at our hotel (Intercontinental) which was very convenient. Ricardo was very knowledgeable about Portugal's history and Fatima. The drive to Fatima is about 1.5 hours, made more pleasant as Ricardo was easily able to converse with us about the passing landscape, and small towns and also about in Portual in general. We arrived just in time to participate in Sunday mass. A moving experience for both my husband and my self. It was good to see the little shepherds homes-very humble abodes.
We both enjoyed the tour immensely and would highly recommend. Ask for Ricardo if oyu can, he was a wonderful guide!!!

Fatima Half-Day Tour
Sep 2019
Our tour guide/driver was prompt to pick us up from the planned pickup location. She was very friendly and provided plenty of insight into Portugal, not just limited to Fatima. The tour was conducted in a very organized and time-efficient manner. The tour included visits to the sanctuary and the original homes of the three children of Fatima. We recommend bringing water as it can get very hot and searching for water/snacks may take up lunch time as that is rolled into the free time at the sanctuary.
