Skipper Hans and historian Vanessa were wonderful. The 100 year old boat is beautiful, neat and tidy. We were given a personal tour of the canals in Amsterdam and Vanessa pointed out many beautiful homes and their history. Wonderful experience with great people.

We toured some of the canals of Amsterdam on a private tour. Our captain, Vera, was very knowledgeable about Amsterdam and the history of The Netherlands, and provided a very interesting commentary during the cruise. The private cruise was really nice because we could easily

My husband and I truly enjoyed the private boat tour. It rained on and off on our tour, and we loved having the covered boat with windows. We could pop open the little windows open to take a photo, but we stayed warm and dry in the boat. There were several boats around us

To begin with, I had to turn my phone on as Vera was late and it was not at all clear or obvious where they would pick us up - so an additional $10 cost. We were supposed to be out 1.5-2 hours and we got back at 1.25 hours and the next group was waiting and angry that their

Dear Dana I am very sorry to read your review especially since we only have 5 star reviews as you might have noticed. We do not recognise your comments and we are very proud that all our other guests are always happy with our service. Just to clarify a few of your comments for other guests which will be reading your negative review: * The Historic Boat Tour you booked is a 1,15 hour tour so you got 10 minutes more than expected. You would have paid a lot more if you would have booked a 2 hours private tour including unlimited (alcoholic) drinks. * There are always non-alcoholic drinks on board on a tray, in the morning there is also a Nespresso coffee machine for our guests. It is true that people very often serve themselves but the driver always offers drinks before departure. We want the driver to focus on guiding and cruising. There is no extra hostess on the Delphine as the boat is too small so therefore we encourage people to drink what is on the tray. * May is normally a warm month in the Netherlands. If it is colder than normal we have 12 blankets onboard, in your case 12 blankets for 2 persons. We do not understand why you did not take any of these blankets or asked the skipper to turn on the existing heating if you were freezing. You were only 3 people in a small old boat so communicating can not have been difficult in a small surface. * Delphine is one of the most beautiful boats in the city as you can see in the pictures. Mentioning in a review that there are many other beautiful boats in town is not a very fair comment whilst reviewing a service. Maybe you like modern boats more than historic boats from the early 1900's but we prefer not to enter into a taste discussion. * The route which we cruise in the canals is always passing the main historic sites mentioned in the description as the whole canal area is a UNESCO MONUMENT so it is very unlikely that you did not see any sites. We do understand that writing a review when having a bad experience is necessary but we are sorry to say that we believe that there have been some misinterpretations from your site. If guests are very unhappy with our service we prefer to discuss this in an honest and open way and even propose to refund you your money if that gives you a better feeling.
