LOCKER SCAM and One Rude Staff Member. Rope Courses are Phenomenal and Outdoor Staff are Extremely Professional
Had a really strange experience when it came to leaving. I had paid for a locker for 6 hours with my locker set to expire at 4.55pm (It showed it on my ticket). I returned to my locker 9 or 10 minutes early at 4.45pm/ 4.46pm to find that I was being fined for returning late??? The fine/overcharge was an inconsequential amount, only 2 francs, but on principle I was extremely reluctant to pay it as I had returned within the time. I queried it with a member of staff saying 'Hi, excuse me. I think there's been a mistake with the lockers, I still have ten minutes on my ticket but it's saying I'm being fined' and he was extremely aggressive and argumentative instantly which was not the reaction I was expecting. He essentially responded that my ticket time did not matter because the machine has the final say and I told him I didn't feel that was fair. He demanded as to why it wasn't fair so I told him my ticket shows I should have ten minutes left and he proceeded to get visibly annoyed with me and talked to me in a way similar to how you might talk to a child who couldn't quite understand something very simple. He then sighed, and ordered me to come with him to the lockers. I showed him the locker and my phone time that showed I still had 8 minutes left even after our conversation. He pointed to the time on the locker that was 10 MINUTES FASTER than reality (I triple checked it against my partners watch, partners phone and google time). He insisted that I pay because I had actually used the locker for over 6 hours. And it was my mistake for expecting the lockers to have the correct time??? So the time on the lockers is INTENTIONALLY WRONG so that people who return within the last ten minutes of their ticket time have to pay a fine/overcharge that is designed to be small enough that most people pay it without contesting it. Of course you are going to trust the time it says your ticket was printed and expires and check it against your phone. There is no reason to think the locker time would be incorrect. When I was still reluctant he sighed and told me words close to 'I can see you are just a difficult person; fine I will just pay it'. I thanked him and he coldly told me, 'do not thank me' before walking away extremely annoyed. This was the only negative experience. All other staff were friendly and professional. They handled an unexpected storm extremely well, temporarily stopping people using the courses for safety reasons and letting people resume as soon as they could. My partner and I also had a very positive staff experience during one of the hard courses. She got stuck on a difficult obstacle mid-way through that she couldn't physically complete and had a panic attack, being suspended in the air. A female staff member came over, assessed the situation and literally ran to get the designated staff member who deals with it. He helped calm her as much as possible, climbed a ladder and efficiently got her down and made her feel safe. Extreme professionalism. The rope courses were amazing as were most the staff. If not for the last experience that left a sour taste this would be a slam dunk 5* review. If not for the other fantastic staff and product I would have rated lower based on that incident.

Fantastic climbing, balancing and zip lining
Fantastic and exhausting day climbing, balancing and zip lining. Family (adults + kids aged 11, 13) visited in August, but was quiet enough not to have any queues or waiting. Helpful staff, great layout of 9 different courses of varied difficulties from easy balance to terrifying scramble. Great equipment meant that I felt totally safe at all times, and I'm not normally great with heights. Planned to go for a long morning, but we spent over 5 1/2 hours until we were finally tired out. Wished we had brought a picnic. So much better than similar ropes parks in the UK.

Excellent, most underrated activity in Interlaken for family and for adventure seekers
Most underrated activity in Interlaken..!! I went there twice in 2 consecutive day..!! It was that fun for both myself, wife and my son. Initially i thought its a small park for kids, so i thought of spending half day for my 5 year old kid to enjoy. He enjoyed it to the fullest. Didnt really realised its a full day activity where even adults can also enjoy to the fullest. Unfortunately we got only half day next day as we planned another activity in the morning time. Adult courses were really fun and needs good physique. My son enjoyed the 3 courses he can do (I guess its snowly). Definitely recommend to spend one full day with family. Worth spendin g the money and time

      Good for the adventurous
What an experience - definitely don't miss this if in Interlaken. I appreciated that they trained each individual and made sure we had all understood the rules including the children. It would have been better if they had a coffee shop for the ones who didn't want to do it. Its expensive so to make the most of it be prepared to spend a few hours.

Fun, safe, and great exercise! (But it'll be tough if you're not physically fit!)
We visited this ropes park on a recent family visit to Interlaken: Husband, wife, teenager, preteen. Everyone loved it. There's a variety of courses, from "easy" to "very hard." The courses basically involve getting from tree to tree along paths of varying difficulties. There are also a fair number of ziplines which don't require any skill, other than making sure to brake appropriately near the end. You don't need to bring anything other than clothes comfortable to move around in. A harness and gloves are provided. The hard and very hard courses are genuinely difficult unless you're in great shape. In my case, I have a rotator cuff injury which affects my strength in one arm. I managed three easy courses and two medium, but at that point I was exhausted and just didn't have the arm strength to do more. I did repeat the 3rd easy course later in the day, just to enjoy the eight ziplines on that course. So be aware that if you're lacking in the arm strength department, the course difficulty will ramp up quite a bit. There's also a lot of balance required on higher-difficulty courses. For all that, on the courses I did, I never actually fell to the point of hanging from my safety cable. I don't think any of the four of us did. I saw an earlier review complaining about how the safety equipment works. I think there must be a different system now, because we had no problems with it, and I actually found it ingenious. You slide your safety hook across a metal plate, and then it's on the course cable. At that point, your safety cable slides with you, occasionally moving across a plate, but you never actually unhook until you're at the end of a course. So there's no dual-cable "hook onto the next part before you unhook from the previous part" where if you do it in the wrong order, see you at the bottom! In the system here, you just never unhook at all. (The staff apparently has special tools to open the safety cable clamp if you need an emergency unhook.) Once we got used to sliding along the plates, it was easy to use. As a programmer as well as a parent, I can definitely appreciate a system that eliminates user error! Special shout out to staff member Shelby, a native English speaker like us, who did a great job of explaining the cable system, was patient as we did the practice course to learn the ropes (literally, ha ha), and was always happy to answer questions and help us figure things out throughout the day. Admission and meals: - Your admission covers the whole day (from open to close, 10a-6p in our case). - The site says to allow 2-3 hours, but you can easily spend the full day, especially if you're an adult, not a sprightly young teenager, and you need to rest now and then. - You can do each course as many times as you like. - You can leave (e.g. for lunch) and come back if you like, as we did. - You can bring meals or snacks. There are picnic tables and free drinking water from a fountain. There are cold drinks and snacks for sale at the building at reasonable prices. (There's not an actual restaurant, though.) - There are bathrooms in the building. Storing your stuff: - There are shelves inside. - For more peace of mind, there are also small and large paid lockers. - You don't have to decide how long to pay for a locker up front. You can pay the minimum, and then pay any overage when you return to get your stuff. (But make sure you keep a few Swiss franc coins in your pocket if you're going to do that!) - You can also just pay for the maximum time and then not have to worry about it. It's only a few francs. - You can open and re-close your locker any time during your rental. When you scan your bar code to reopen your locker, it'll ask if you want to continue or end your rental. Make sure you say "continue" unless you're leaving for the day. (The locker UI speaks several languages.) Getting there: The ropes course is only a 15-20 minute walk from Interlaken West. The road can be narrow in places. There's a small forest trail you can take that makes the route a bit shorter and lets you avoid cars on the road. There are signs to direct you. Have fun!

Nice park for kids, many different trails
Our daughter enjoyed the park very much. She loved the long slides and there is a trail with 8 of them. Many different trails and easy ones to start with. It is rather expensive, but worthwhile if you stay 3-4 hours.

      Safe and lots of fun
Both our kids aged 11 and 14 had loads of fun, it is perfectly safe, there is a tiny cafe, water fountain and a toilet and ample parking. It is a bit difficult to find when using public transport, there is a short walk from the bus stop. We were there for 3 hours and there was so much more to do.

      Two visits in one week
I can not recommend this place enough! My two boys first visited this place while our explorer scouts went canyoning. They loved it from the varying courses on offer from easy to extremely hard. We watched their confidence grow as they explorerex the high ropes up in the trees. The staff were great with them. They enjoyed it so much that we returned a few days later with 35 explorer scouts too, all aged between 14 and 18. The staff were so accommodating and great with the kids. Everyone had a safety briefing before ascending the ropes, and they were always on hand to help our scouts. Again they loved the different aspects of activity and even the more anxious ones liked that there were lower courses for those not so keen on heights and then higher ones with amazing zip wires for those a little more daring. It remains a firm favourite of our trip with the youngsters and would highly recommend to anyone looking to do some adventurous activity in Interlaken.

      Absolute blast!
Visited this park mainly to placate the 11 year old boy. The 48 year old and 50 year old had as much fun as he did! Staff was attentive and came quickly when the 11 year old had a technical issue with one of the obstacles. If you have kids, this is a must do. If you don't have kids, but like to have fun, it's a must do.

Fun active time in beautiful forest
We have a 10 yr old who’s favorite travel adventure is this kind of park. We’ve done quite a few all over the world (including one in Zermatt a few days ago-which by the way got 5stars from us). I’d give this one 5 stars for: 1-location (beautiful forest), 2-accessibility (we fast walked our way from Jungfrau Victoria Hotel in Interlaken & made it in 20min - it’s 15min from Interlaken West bus/train station), 3-variety/number of tracks (you can spend many hours doing the entire thing, or choose freely to skip ahead if you’re pressed on time). However, it has been rather underwhelming. And the ONLY thing that makes it this way is this ‘double safety magnetic carabiners’ system they have. It’s absolutely maddening & frustrating & all it does is slow you down. You’re tinkering with this stuff so much it’s down right annoying. Every time you start a pass, you have to hook these 2 things on the line via magnetic slot. Before you end that pass, you have to do it again. Sometimes you have to do it in the middle of a pass (I really don’t get this one!). Multiply that by let’s say 10-20 passes per course, it’s so boring (Let’s say you have a 10 pass track, you hook these approx. 35 times) I literally remember messing with these things 10 times more then the actual pass from tree to tree (which is why you’re there!). The zip lines can be fast and you’re braking with your gloved hand. No padded landings either. The harness feels comfortable. My husband & son said same thing. They said they rebuilt last year. I wonder if this safety system is new, and if yes for what reason?! I’ve seen it built in other places where one hooks in at beginning of a track & doesn’t have to mess with it anymore, your safety line is on a continuous path until the end. Or, if it’s a double safety like here, it’s a simple basic carabiner. Click on and off, no magnet, and do one at a time. So much easier! So basically, if you’re a rope course nerd, don’t bother. Or go, but with the right expectations.

      Great adventure
Attended today with a group of 20 Scouts from the UK aged 10-15yrs. What a fantastic time everyone had. Three hours of high adventure. Staff were great and one of the instructors went around with one of the Scouts who was frightened of heights. Facilities were great and staff very knowledgable.

A must do!!! So much fun!
My family came here on a rainy day as we weren’t sure what else to do. It was so quiet and we stayed for about 5 hours, it’s such good value for money! Really really good. It was so nice to be able to go round and round again and try out all the different difficulty levels. The whole system is well thought out and we all said how safe we felt, the instructions at the beginning were very clear. However, towards the end of the day my 10 year old brother somehow managed to not be connected to any of the cables high up in the tree. It was a mystery as that’s not supposed to happen, it was a worrying 10 seconds and we don’t know how it he managed it. We told the staff and they said they would look into it and check the harness isn’t broken. They have a variety of drinks and snacks but I would recommend taking a picnic if you are staying a while as there are plenty of tables outside Overall, highly recommend this place! SO much fun :-)

Best $40 ever spent on an athletic activity!
This place is amazing! To have rebuilt SO much after last year’s storm is incredible! Great place for reasonably fit people of all ages - with the more difficult courses certainly needing coordination, strength. I was very impressed with the safety aspect - the magnet-release dual carabiner system - and how secure I felt with the equipment and the course. Thanks, Seilpark Interlaken!

      Good, not great
Well organized but even the hardest tracks are not that hard (caveat: they said they were not finished). Also they claim they have 10 tracks but it's really 5 with some variants. Had a good time, but not as great as quite a few other similar parks we went to.

Our family (parents and two teenagers, 18 and 15) did the Interlaken Ropes Course. We were able to book the same morning we looked at it. Easy walk from our AirBnB in eastern Interlaken (about 25 minutes). Course is well run and super fun. Various course levels for all ages . Courses have various activities (ropes, zip lines, etc.). Guides speak various languages, including English, and give you a thorough training on how to use the safety course and levels you want to do, can do them as often as you like, and stay as long as want. There are plenty of guides around to help you. We did several other things with Outdoor Interlaken (Jet Boat & Gimsel Canyoning) - recommend these activities and this company.

Excellent adventure ropes course. As a family we really enjoyed our time and ended up staying 4 hours. They have lots of picnic tables to eat at. There is even a community fire to grill brats. My youngest is 7 and met the height requirement for 8 courses and they were all fabulous. Lots of zip lines and enough adventure for mom too! Creates critical thinking skills for the kids to figure out solutions on their own and I really liked the “clamp” system they have for best in safety as you are never on a rope course not secured in properly. Bring a picnic, wear long shirts to go under the harness and bring water.

This place was amazing. The people were all very helpful and kind. They knew how to teach first timers how to navigate this activity and patiently worked with us until we were confident. I'm only 5'5" so, other than the expected moments of adrenaline when navigating the unstable bridges and long zip lines, I had no problems. I wouldn't recommend this to anyone very tall. My husband is 6'4" and not particularly flexible. He did the easiest course and then opted to stay on the ground and record me flying around up there like a monkey. You have to squeeze yourself through some tight spots so I think he made a wise choice and he said he still had a great time. I really would love to do this again. It was a lot of fun.

We accompanied our grandchildren aged 7, 8 and 11. They completed 6 courses, 2 blue, 3 green and 1 red. These courses are impressive, especially the red in height, but they managed on their own. The staff welcomed us with some French and English, but especially with a lot of sympathy and spared no time. They will certainly come back with their parents.

Went as a Family of 4, with nervous at height person - we had great fun. Course is set up at four experience levels, with even the entry level being really good and safe challenging fun. We did about 3 hours until we had enough, which was about a third of the course available. Free parking near by.

This is a real find. We usually don’t do any climbing activities but we really enjoyed the whole experience. We spent the most of the day here and plan to go back again soon. It is very family friendly. The staff are very nice and helpful. All the courses have exciting parts and the „always tied in“ provide us with a safe feeling but it was still enjoyably challenging.

Unexpectedly engaging activity, good fun with small group of people as you can discuss the best way to tackle the challenges together.

    Good:
    - Multiple courses with organised difficulty levels and ratings.
    - So much variety in challenges some require balance, strength, speed, planning, etc.
    - Practice session / training before starting actual courses.
    - Very safe as the hook mechanism is attached at all times in each course.
    - Water fountain is available to refill.
    - Short wait times when we went.

    Bad:
    - While ducking to get around some wires, I smacked my head on the nuts/bolts holding the wires together. It left a small bump which took a few days to heal. The bolts should be covered with something soft.
    - If you're not careful with speed you can smack your legs really hard on the platforms when zip-lining. There should be a soft safety barrier to reduce risk on the edge of the platform.
    - Becomes more awkward the taller you are. Tallest in our group was 6 ft, but they were okay.
    - Park shuts down when it gets too windy, for safety reasons.

We had a lovely time even though it was raining the whole time. We were the only ones there, which was quite nice!
