We really enjoyed our tour. I agree about changing the name of the tour since we only had 1 wine tasting. The 2 hilltop cities were beautiful. Views amazing. The tour guide and bus driver were very nice and job well done. We did miss out on a 2nd wine tasting that was supposed to be in one of the towns. When our group got there, there was no room for us. Seemed odd since I thought it was part of the tour and should have accommodations for us. Also the other suggestion I have is have the meeting place in a less congested area. Even a block away from the main street may have helped. We drove to Siena, the town was having a street fair with lots of vendors. The parking situation was nonexistent. My husband dropped me at the tour bus so they knew we were there but had to continue to drive around for a parking place. We were almost left out of the tour due to the parking situation. Also it is a long tour but no food is included, but plenty of places to have lunch in the towns. I would recommend taking this tour.

We initially thought we would go from vineyard to vineyard, when the reality of it was that you only go to one vineyard to start and then 2 towns for free time. In the last town you have the option of going to a winery which is what my friend and I opted for. The overall experience was amazing and so fun! I definitely recommend this tour and to join the guide to the winery in the last town.

What is enogastronomic anyway? Turns out it's an Italian word meaning food and wine tourism in Italy. "Full day wine tour" it is not. It's a full day tour that includes one winery. Semantics are important. Because of all this head scratching we combed through the itinerary and the reviews. The itinerary is spot on. The people who wrote poor reviews probably didn't read the itinerary. We took the advice of another reviewer and brought our own lunch and we were glad we did as you don't want to waste time sitting down in a restaurant. We left from Siena and were greeted by a packed bus from Florence. We are tall people (6' and 6'3") and we didn't fit in the coach. The first stop is the winery so be prepared to have breakfast beforehand. Marco, the winemaker is adorable. Wine, served with cheese and salami, was good. Then we were turned loose in 3 hilltop towns after a bit of explanation of what we were seeing. This excursion was everything it said it was in the "WHAT''S INCLUDED" and "WHAT TO EXPECT" sections only, not in the title nor the description (...need to fix that Viator) with a lovely, bubbly tour guide by the name of Llaria. A note: if you can, visit Cesare the 83 year old coppersmith in Montepulciano who produces lovely gems.

Alberto, our guide was very knowledgeable about the geographical and historical features of the towns that we visited, was able to communicate in English, Spanish, French and of course Italian. The wine and cheese tasting was exceptional and free time was well organized and adequate.

This is was an OK tour of wine country, but not much of a wine tour. Expect a giant bus and 100+ people. The guide was pleasant and enthusiastic, but he was just a tour lead and not a wine expert, and his English was difficult to understand. You get a few samples of Brunello at the beginning and a few samples of Chianti at the end. Most of the tour is free time walking about in Montelcino, Pienza, and Montepulciano. I wouldn't advise if traveling from farther than Siena, the transport was a bit of a cluster.
