- flabio0 contributionsGreat way to experience David and the Academy Gallerynformative guided tour of the Academy and its focal piece, the David. Michelangelo's unfinished statues were also included in the tour. Skip the line is key for visiting as there were a zillion people waiting outside and we got in in less than 15 minutes. You can stay in the museum afterward to see the other galleries, musical instruments, etc. Be sure to bring cash because you have to purchase entrance tickets, separate from the tour.Written 22 August 2024
- Bossa N0 contributionsTop TourExcellent Tour with our Guide Katharina. Very symphatic and very informative. She gave us a lot of intersting informations. Tour took 90 minutes and was never boring. Very good organised. 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻Written 20 August 2024
- Mehrnaz C0 contributionsHighly recommended! They are very professional and knowledgeable team. They did send us a message at night before of tour and reminded us about information. They were on time and took us inside the museum immediately. We had also had option to check the music instruments museum after this one. Highly recommended.Written 13 July 2024
- tammycP7458IT0 contributionsNot worth the moneyNot worth the money. Guide was nice but seemed inexperienced. I don’t think it was “Elvis” that usually does the tour. Maybe he was off that day.Written 27 June 2024
- Robbie_57890 contributionsExcellent guided tourReally good. Great to not have to wait in the queue in baking heat and our guide was excellent - pitched just right, got a lot out of the tour, much more than we would have got if just attending ourselves.Written 25 June 2024
- Resort463031059590 contributionsSKIP THIS PARTICULAR TOUR, BUT DEFINITELY GO TO MUSEUM!You can skip this one!! Tour, I mean. Definitely go to the Accademia and see David, yes it’s worth the hype and the line to see this giant masterpiece. But if you do this tour you will be overpaying substantially to NOT skip a line (you will still be waiting in a line, a bit shorter one but still a line), and your tour guide will rush you at their pace past so many works. She skipped an entire room at the end and “invited us to stay longer to see it”. If you are planning your trip ahead of time definitely buy some tickets (check out the firenzepass if you’re in town a few days) to this museum, but skip this “skip this” tour! I was too last minute in my planning and these were the only tickets available. So, it did get me in to the gallery so for this reason I gave 3 stars, not 2. PS- Elvis never entered the building, btw…Written 24 June 2024
- Steph F0 contributionsGreat experienceImportantly we were quick into the museum with no fuss. Our guide provided great context for not only viewing David but Michelangelo’s other sculptures. I very much recommend doing this tour as it adds so much more to how you view the works.Written 1 June 2024
- V600 contributionsInformative and so enjoyableThe guide was so informative and enjoyable that I’d say it was many times better than self-visiting. As well as seeing David, with loads of good info, we learned about Michaelengo’s The Prisoners sculptures and after the tour, we visited the excellent musical instruments in the museum on the guides recommendation. Our guide Claudia was an enthusiast and he was amusing, courteous and so knowledgeable. Well worth the fee.Written 17 May 2024
- jamesbswanson30 contributionsLast minute booking to see Statue of DavidSo happy we found this. On the official website for the academia gallery all the tickets were sold out for the day and we booked this last minute. The tour was extremely informative and we got to go in and see the statue of David!Written 15 May 2024
- I7146YCmatts0 contributionsExcellent tourDavid tour was excellent! We would recommend everyone use this company! Our tour guide was clear and informative! And the cost was well worth it.Written 9 May 2024
- Webster F0 contributionsGreat to skipExcellent way to skip the long lines at the Academia. Guide was very informative. Provided radios are ok, but it’s so noisy with all the people! Can be a challenge to hear well. Not the guide’s fault, but the 10:45 entry time was slid by the venue to after 11:15. Still incredible to see the art, especially DavidWritten 7 May 2024
- 276matw0 contributionsElvis is the King.Quality tour, from Elvis himself. Can't recommend highly enough. Being guided through medieval art to the Renaissance was very interesting. See Michaelangelo's only painting and other stunning works by the masters.Written 4 May 2024

Excellent and fun cooking class!!! David and Lorenzo were so helpful in explaining how to make traditional Italian pasta dishes and we tried our hands at making tortellini, ravioli, and papardelle! The food was so delicious, and they also provided great wine to pair with our three course pasta meal 😋
Highly recommend spending an evening with Brunelleschi cooking art in Florence!

The cooking class was a great success. It started on time, and the "classroom" was well prepared with all the ingredients and tools needed to make the 3 different pastas and sauces. The chef did a wonderful job of demonstrating and assisting those who needed help. He allowed several of the attendees to act as sous chef, including a youngster. It was a great experience.

We highly recommend this class! Chef Lorenzo was entertaining and engaging, the space was lovely and the food was delicious. He made sure to include everyone and our whole family had a great time, even my husband who NEVER cooks made a great pasta. The free flowing wine was an added bonus. It was a lovely way to end our time in Florence.

The hottest rising Italian cooking class in Florence. An absolute must. Chef Brunelleschi is professional, courteous, funny and genuine.. bringing stories of his grandmother's cooking into every dish you learn. It's easy and approachable cooking methods, while also accurate and educational... Even for experienced home and professional chefs. Chef and his assistant treat you like family, ensuring you are learning along the way, while also ensuring your well - fed and your Wine Glass is Full ;)

We booked this pasta making class for Florence while travelling. We loved it and it was one of the highlights of our trip!
David was the chef teaching us how to make the pasta, he was funny and knowledgable in equal parts and teaches his grandmothers recipes.
Everyone makes 3 types of pasta, David made one of the sauces and then as a group you make another 2 sauces.
It was a big group but David went around helping everyone and the flowing wine definitely helped!
The lunch enjoying the fruits of your labour was fabulous and we left very full of delicious pasta and wine! Definitely recommend!

Is this class near the cruise port? If not, what transportation do you recommend?
Written 1 August 2024
They were folks on a cruise who were in the class, but I don't know from which port. The high speed train goes right into Firenze Santa Maria Novella station. There are regional trains as well. The High Speed are the most reliable. Then you can walk.
