- 307kinana0 contributionsGreat tour, with very dark stories 😱We had a wonderful time on the tour with Angela. She was knowledgeable, engaging, and made the experience truly enjoyable. The way she shared the history and interesting facts about the places we visited was fantastic, we really saw she is passionate about these stories. Thank you for organizing such a great tour!Written 15 September 2024

- Mapahead0 contributionsA good tour - no cons - genuine free tour well organisedAngela who led this tour was very good and we did enjoy it. She was well informed and communicated well. It is an excellent service provided for free in good faith. Our only disappointment was to see some people on the tour not tipping the lady at the end - she deserved it and whilst it a free tour it was sad to see some people not reward her even with just a thank you. Well done Angela and the organisers of this tour.Written 14 September 2024

- honeyvajer0 contributionsDark black past of the old families of FlorenceThis tour was exceptional. I did this one immediately after a general Florence tour, and the amount of additional information that I learned was fantastic. It was more intimate, darker, and very entertaining. Learning about some of Florence's darkest secrets kept the group engaged and participating often. Francesca was incredible, and she was so good at her job. She is an Italian literature graduate, and her passion for teaching was very evident in the quality of her tour. Thank you Francesca!Written 2 September 2024

I really enjoyed the free walking tour with Angela. In two hours she told us a lot about the history of the city and about the Medicis and answered all our questions competently. It was fun to walk through the city with her - recommend it for anyone who would like to know why Florence is so full of art and great architecture.

This was me and my wife’s first trip to Florence. We had limited knowledge of the city and decided to sign up for the tour. We were initially scheduled for 10 AM but unfortunately missed it. Gabriel was very accommodating and rescheduled us for the evening to at 4:30 PM.
Amanda was out tour guide and was amazing. She was very knowledgeable and made the tour fun and exciting despite us drenching in the pouring rain. I would highly recommend this to any tourist who would like to get to know the city in a short period of time.
Thank you!

Great tour for art and architecture lovers - Gabriel has a lot of knowledge about ancient Italien artists and will gladly share some stories about their projects as well as their personal ties with each other. It’s not the typical sightseeing tour if you just want to see Florence, but it rather goes beyond that, giving you small details and insights to remember. Thanks, Gabriel!

The best two hours despite being with tourists 🤣
Sylvia our guide kept her audience attentive by making history and the main characters of the Medici family, as well as key artists, alive.
She gave the best explanation about why the scale is Do Re Mi Fa Sol La Si Do. She sang to illustrate her point with a stunning voice. It was towards the end of the visit, but not even the finale.
We have since followed some of her recommendations and enjoy the in more depth thanks to this tour and our guide.
Did I mention that you pay only if you are content AND you determine the value? Brilliant!

Wow! Hands down one of the best tours I’ve been on. Fabio was EXCELLENT!!! Very professional but still very personable and friendly. Since he’s a native to Florence, this seemed like a seamless tour. On such a hot day, he made sure to stop at areas where there was enough shade for the entire group. He even showed us traditional Tuscan dishes and gave us recommendations of where to dine. The tour ends at the Uffizi Gallery which is PERFECT if you’d like to see famous paintings by Boticelli, Michelangelo, etc. I recommend booking this tour on a Tuesday afternoon so that you can enjoy the Uffizi Gallery without the crowds (Uffizi Gallery is open late hours on Tuesdays). 10/10 hands down! Don’t question it, just book it.

Yesterday we have had a tour from Amanda. Because of covid-19, we were lucky to have a private tour.
She was very enthusiastic and social and the most important part is that she was able to answer literally all our from questions about the city to the details of specific buildings.
At the end of the tour you are completely free to give the guide a tip.

Silvia was a fantastic tour guide, we really enjoyed our tour with her. The tour was informative and well-delivered and our tour guide extremely knowledgeable and very friendly. We did one-day visit to Florence from Rome in order to enjoy masterpieces of Renaissance art and architecture and have booked this tour only couple of days before arrival. In short - great walking tour, highly recommendable to all!

I did the late afternoon tour in English. Manuel was a great and informative tour guide; I'd just arrived in Florence a couple of hours before, and it was a wonderful way of being introduced to the city on foot. Fascinating retelling of the city's history, thorough and unique details that won't be so easily found in books, and honest and helpful suggestions as to the activities we should really try out for our limited stays in Florence. Thank you Manuel!

I did the English tour with Camille on a very rainy Friday and learnt so much! The group size was around 12 which was a good size, could always hear Camille and have a chance to look closer at the subject.
Camille was really friendly, knowledgable and clearly enthusiastic not only about the topics she was telling us about but also about the city and country in general! She was full of recommendations and information about everything that was asked, she couldn’t have been more helpful.
Really recommend this tour with Camille and if I ever come back to the city I’d definitely look at the other tours she runs.

It looks like your tour enters a lot of museum. Should we purchase in advance a Firenze Card or Firenze Turbocard? Is the tour able to "skip the line"?
Written 20 September 2021
This is a walking tour. It doesn't go inside museums. Try to book in advance entry to the museums you are interested in.

scusate ma non mi è chiaro se il tour c'è anche in italiano, perchè le lingue riportate sono inglese e spagnolo, forse è multilingue?
grazie

What time does it start & finish pls?
Also, is the meeting point far from the cruise port?
Thx for your time and opinions!

This is a walking tour of Florence. Florence is not on the coast - it is well over an hour's drive inland from the nearest ports which are Viareggio and Livorno.
Our tour started at 1400 and we met outside a bar across from the San Lorenzo church...
It was a very good tour. We gave the guide €20 tip!

HI, we are a family of 4 with only 3 days in Florence and would like to start with a tour such as this. What is the minimum number needed before tour is canceled? We arrive Friday 12/27. Thank you.
Written 17 December 2019
I don't know if they have a minimum. We were only 2, but when we met, there were about 12 in total. If you are 4, there should not be a problem, but I would email them direct to confirm.
Written 19 December 2019
Is there an admission price to any of the sites we'll visit?
Written 5 November 2019
The tour is just for you to get your bearings of the city. The courtyards you go into are free, but the museums are not. They are things you can return to after the tour of you wish to. Queuing for the Uffizi and the cathedral are very, very long.
