She was very knowledgeable and knew how to engage the children while also keeping things interesting for me and my husband. We got super lucky and ended up being the only ones in our group, so the tour was private! We tried so many amazing local foods and got to experience the magic of the market. We loved our sunset tour of the small artisan food venues in the Santo Spirito area south of the river. Our local guide Martino was excellent- he knew his subject very well, his passion was obvious and his delivery very entertaining. Martino and all the hosts had a great sense of humour, especially the “King of Cheese”.
As a concept … enjoying your dinner a little at a time at fantastic small expert places… it was great fun, with lovely company too.
We’d 100% recommend it while in Florence.

I wanted an evening food tour to see Florence at night while tasting some delicious local foods. Eating Europe Florence offered Sunset Food Tours, and they provided an exceptional experience. Francesco is a knowledgeable tour guide who know history of Florence and has a deep appreciation for good food. He made everyone feel comfortable, which resulting in a welcoming and fun atmosphere. Eating Europe designed a multi-course Tour, pairing each course with wine. Between the foods and conversations, the tour felt as though friends gathered to learn about Florence and its foods. Happy and warm memories were created.
I also tried other food tours in Florence. Eating Europe sets the benchmark for how food tours should be conducted. I'll be checking for food tours with Eating Europe every time I am in Europe.

We had a fantastic time on the sunset food tour! We met the owners of all of the establishments we went to/ all were very friendly and welcoming. The snacks and drinks prepared for us were delicious. Our guide Chiara was very welcoming and kind - she told us about the history of all the restaurants and stores we visited, the story of the owners, and the history of the foods and drinks from Florence that we tried. We had fun hanging out with our guides and the other guests and I would definitely recommend the tour for someone looking to experience the Oltrarno- much less crowded with tourists than the city center!

This food tour was a wonderful experience. The guide's expertise and passion for the city's cuisine made all the difference. I left the tour with a full stomach, a happy heart, and a newfound love for the culinary treasures of Florence. If you're visiting this city, I highly recommend taking this food tour – it's an absolute must for any food lover or curious traveler!

This was an amazing food tour in the OLtrarno area of Florence. Gaia, our tour guide was so amazing and knowledgeable of the area and has a beautiful relationship with all the vendors that we visited. Each stop was something different and unique. We tried things that we normally would not have tried and really got immersed in the spirit and culture of Florence. 10/10 would recommend this to anyone visiting for the first time. We did the tour on our first night in the city and it was a great way to learn the area, plus we made some friends during the tour as well! Couldn’t recommend any stronger!!

Decent food tour in Florence featuring authentic cuisine. One of the locations, a cheese store, was very cramped and standing room only. Overall it was ok but not a good value compared to other food tours we've been on.

We went on the sunset food tour with Francesco as part of our honeymoon trip. We visited bars, cafes, and shops and met owners and other people from Florence who shared their insight. Our guide gave us a little history of the city and a little insight into what makes the food in Florence so unique and delicious!

Our food tour with Francesco was wonderful! Francesco was friendly and charming and shared an abundance of information about local food. We made several stops where we met a local proprietor and enjoyed their speciality. Plenty of good food, plenty of good drink. Such a great experience outside of the more touristy area.
There were 10 in our tour group, and we had a marvelous time getting to know each other. Francesco introduced us to a local cocktail, and we enjoyed the drink and each other so much that we all went out to have another one after the tour!
My husband eats gluten-free, and much care was taken by all to accommodate him.

WOW, three letters to summarize one of the best food tours I’ve ever been on!
We did the Florence at sunset tour and had Francesco who was a native of Florence, and he put the cherry on top of some amazing food and drinks. The food was incredible, the drinks were delicious, and the stories and jokes we shared as a group made for an exemplary night. I highly recommend requesting Francesco, you won’t be disappointed.

I went on the tour alone , with 9 other travelers of various ages . Our guide was Elisa and she was warm , caring , extremely knowledgeable about all aspects of the food and wine we consumed .
What made the tour special was 1) Elisa and 2) the number of establishments where we stopped and sampled various foods and wines .
The places ranged from an old fashioned cheese store run by a lovely proprietor whose parents had owned the store before him , to a restaurant where we watched the bartender make Negroni’s and then drank them , along with a 2 course dinner of papà pomodoro and cinghiale , a wild boar dish that is a Florence specialty . The next stop was a lovely wine cellar - cantucci and vin santo , and finally the most wonderful gelateria with s lovely proprietor .
I highly recommend this tour !

Yes! It rained on our tour, and so we were able to go inside. As long as you are okay walking in the rain (bring an umbrella and coat), each stop you will be inside.
