Tuscan Winery Tour
Wine touring and tasting can be intimidating to young adults so join this full-day wine tasting tour of Italy’s Tuscany region designed especially for 18-to-39-year-olds. You’ll spend the day in beautiful Tuscany visiting two authentic Italian wineries tasting world-famous Italian varietals such as Chianti Classico and Brunello of Montalcino while also learning about traditional wine production and the secrets of wine pairing.
What to Expect
Meet your tour at the meeting point in Florence and then travel out into the Tuscan countryside by air-conditioned coach. The first stop is a winery and tasting school about an hour outside of Florence where you’ll learn the essentials of wine tasting such as how to recognize different flavors and develop your palate.

You’ll put your new wine tasting skills into action tasting four different types of wine including the world-famous Chianti Classico and also have the opportunity to taste a 30-year-old balsamic vinegar, truffle oil and a classic extra virgin olive oil.

Back in the bus, you’ll head to a second winery located in the Vernaccia white wine region. Here you’ll be guided through the entire wine production process from vineyard to cellar by the vintners themselves. You’ll learn the ins and outs of wine pairing and sample a rosè wine, a Vernaccia white, and a Colli Senesi Chianti.

After the second wine tour, you’ll be given free time to wander the well-preserved, medieval town of San Gimignano at your own pace. Your guide will provide maps and tips on best spots to visit. You’ll have plenty of time to browse the local handcrafted shops, climb the Torre Grossa for the best view of the city, sample some of the best gelato in Italy, and mingle with the other young travelers on your tour before hopping back into the coach for the trip back to Florence.

I’m not sure I can answer that but I would call the tour office. We did get off there and have a walk around and then returned to Florence.

For privacy reasons we cannot tell you the wineries where we take you on the tour and I invite the others to respect our policies as well. Thanks
